5/29/26 & 6/12 BJ's is a great place to eat- early or late. Their Happy Hour is M-F before 7pm. Our favorite Happy Hour appetizers are Spin Dip and Sliders. What we like to eat M-F is the MINI PIZOOKIE MEAL DEAL. My favorite is the Chicken/Bacon/Ranch Piadina and my husband's current favorite is a Personal Chicken/Bacon/Ranch Pizza with a Caesar Salad. Our server for our last 3 visits has been Kia I. She is absolutely a fantastic server. She has been our server about 3-4 times. She's very friendly and she remembered us from previous visits. She is really great! She is also a perfectionist! She brought us our drinks, my extra glass of ice and a lemon. Kia brings the Caesar Salad first and then when we are finished with the salad, Kia has it timed to exactly bring the Pizza and Piadina w/fries to the table. We really are enjoying her. Lately we've been taking home the Pizookie and ice cream home to eat later. BJ has a welcoming atmosphere. There's lots of room for large groups. I like to see that the restaurant is busy. We met up here for a friend's birthday and had a great late lunch. Relaxed spot in a corner booth and waitstaff were awesome and friendly without being obtrusive. Food was consistently delicious as always and I have difficulty convincing myself to try anything else once I found the enlightened Mediterranean salad. My birthday pal received a complimentary birthday Pizookie, so I ordered one as well and it was yummy. Served warm and with a scoop of ice cream. This business has definitely gone under, not bad for a weekday lunch but not worth it overall. Bad service, 45 min. for wings, soup and salad, a sandwich and a kids meal. I even ordered the kids meal right when we sat down, it came out with the rest of the food. Server did't acknowledge or possibly even notice anything. The host was less than friendly and not very bright (sat us at a four top when we were four people plus a high chair). Environment is hot and muggy, drinks watered down, manager was likely in the kitchen based on his attire. This is the main location I go to in the mall. Obviously there is parking. It's a big location but you still may need a reservation sometimes because they get busy. The service is always good in my opinion. In the photo is the limited time appetizer platter that me and 3 people shared. It was really good and filling. And for the price I wish they had this all the time. Something for everyone. The ambiance is nice. High ceilings. Not too loud. Good space between tables. First time at BJs and went on a recommendation from my son about their pizooke! We arrived on a Friday night around 6:30 and to my surprise we were sat immediately even though the restaurant was pretty full. It's a sports bar type restaurant with tables and booths in the large area and then bar seating and private seating to the side. It's a pretty large restaurant. Service was good - it took us a while to review the menu. They have a specials area Monday - Friday that includes an entree and pizookie for $13. Options include a smash burger, pasta, fried chicken, quesadilla type wrap, salad, etc. so there is something for everyone. My husband and I ordered from the $13 menu - smash burger with fries and chicken, bacon and ranch wrap quesadilla. My son ordered the boneless wings with honey BBQ sauce. Food arrived and portions were average but with that price point I was very happy. The chicken, bacon and ranch wrap was interesting and very good - it was like a fried quesadilla. Our server came around and asked for our pizookie orders - we chose the original chocolate chip and Oreo. Since my son's didn't come with one he ordered a small one. They came out much quicker than I anticipated and they were also much bigger than I thought. We could have split one after a full dinner! Not everything Dubai is good...... but this right here, AMAZING!!! The softness and freshness of the chocolate chip cookie matched with the coolness of the icecream, perfect! The kanafi sprinkled over the cookie and the chocolate hardshell with pistachio drizzle all around just makes me want to go get another one. This dessert is worth the repeat! The service was quick and efficient. It was late afternoon so the restaurant was quiet than usual which gave me lots of nondistracted time with my pazookie. I attended a large birthday gathering here. This was my first time eating at this restaurant. The staff was very accommodating to our large party size. The restaurant is massive and is decorated nicely. I shared an appetizer and entree with my best friend. The Honey BBQ Boneless Wings were so crispy, flavorful, and plentiful. Shareable and incredibly memorable. I think about traveling from Nashville just to eat them! We also shared a steak with fries and onion rings. I'm convinced they have the best battering technique because everything fried was absolutely delightful! They are known for their skillet cookies and ice cream which they call Pizookies. 1) We had a reservation and when we arrived we told we could sit in the bar or it would be an hour wait. 2) The menus were sticky with pages sticking together. This is a pet peeve of mine. A simple thing that overlooked leaves a bad impression. 3) Their ribeyes are usually hard to beat. This trip they were okay...better than TRH but barely. 4) Our server had more than he could keep up with so he wasn't as attentive as he should be...no checking for refills...never brought the requested to go box. I have always had a good time here, going to this establishment periodically over the years, and last night was the best ever! I sat at the bar, and my bartender was terrific! He gave excellent food recommendations and was able to engage in conversation when possible. He made me two delicious non-alcoholic drinks on the menu. Per his recommendation, I also ordered the delicious garlic butter shrimp with toast appetizer. For my teen's birthday I booked a table for 10 at BJs on Open Table. They have several options for groups, being able to pull together tables and extend their tops. One thing that was noticeable was the cleanliness and aging of the chairs and tables. We flipped out a couple of the chairs because they were dirty or broken. Our server was attentive and laid back, answering the many questions from my family. It had been years since we'd been to the restaurant. Our orders were accurate and turned around quickly. Many of us took advantage of the $13 Pizookie deal. I didn't hear many complaints about the food and I'm interested to return for another deal. My burger was average though and while I enjoyed the fries, I wouldn't recommend the burger. If you don't want some of the toppings, make sure to note that. I ordered a kids mini burgers meal through the app which auto selects pickles, lettuce, and tomatoes as the topping. After picking up the order I noticed there were no pickles or tomatoes. When I returned they did take it in the back and add the missing pickles and tomato the problem lies in what followed. The man that had it fixed told me "next time you have to ask for it in the app, the sliders or kids burgers don't come with lettuce, tomatoes and pickles." Stopped in yesterday while in the area to grab lunch. I sat at the bar and it took a few minutes before the bartender showed up to wait on me. Once she did, everything went smooth. BJ's has an identity crisis. It has elements that seem to want to be a higher end restaurant with elegance and fine entrees. It also seems to want to be a sports bar with tvs, wings and pizza all on offer. It also wants to be a craft brewery. It ends up doing all of them only by half. The prices of the menu items and cocktails are just too high for the quality of the food and the experience. It's not bad by any means, but there are better places for whichever identity you are looking for. read more

While I would imagine most diners are at BJ's because of its convenient location inside of Oxmoor, the food is great and the service is always excellent as well. There is a relatively large menu, and I really like their lunch special too - excellent value! Their pazookies are so fun! I love their salads but their sandwiches, burgers, and pastas are all great. The ambiance completely depends on when you are there - it is always fun, but certain times of day are much more lively than others (when you would expect - lunchtime on Saturday more lively than lunchtime on Monday). It is always clean, the food always fresh, and I love that they have entrances from both the parking lot and the mall, so you can easily get to it even if you park on the other side of the mall. My message to the CEO of BJ's: Our experience at the BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse was unacceptable from the moment we walked through the door. We made a reservation online for two tables of ten and one table of seven. The reservation system accepted the booking without issue. Based on that confirmation, we brought our volleyball team and their parents to the restaurant expecting to enjoy a team dinner together. Instead, we were immediately confronted and yelled at upon entering the restaurant. The manager, Chris Cole, loudly reprimanded our organizer, stating that we should have called the restaurant directly rather than using the online reservation system. He also complained that they had to keep lunch-shift staff on to accommodate our party. To be clear: we used the reservation system provided by your company, and it confirmed our booking. If the restaurant cannot accommodate reservations of that size through the online system, the system should not allow them to be made, or the restaurant should contact the guest in advance. What is absolutely unacceptable is greeting customers--especially a large group of families and student athletes--with hostility and raised voices the moment they arrive. This interaction made it abundantly clear that hospitality is not a priority at this location. When we were finally seated we were told that they could seat 22 of us. Make that make sense. Additionally, the condition of the restaurant itself raises serious concerns. The floors throughout the establishment were extremely dirty and dangerously slippery. The level of grease and residue on the floor created a clear safety hazard. Also the restrooms were incredibly dirty and trash was overflowing. Frankly, it appears to be the kind of environment that could easily result in a customer injury and a subsequent liability issue. Also, we were informed that the bar was out of the bourbon they use for Old Fashioned....a bar in Louisville , KY, out of Bourbon? With all of that said our server, Leslie, was an angel! She made up for the lack of management, and would no doubt make a better manager than Chris. read more

Glad to see this location still going strong! Love the bar and craft soda selection here! Their beers are some of the best in the beer scene as far as chain restaurants go. Bartenders are very friendly, knowledgeable, and quick to make you an amazing cocktail or beverage. Ambiance is slightly above average, and that's ok! I love the menu though they've taken away a few of my favorite things sadly over the years. Been to this BJ's twice -- once from the Chester location and now here -- and both visits were disappointing. Service was poor both times; we couldn't get refills or even basic attention from the staff. I ordered the garlic vegetables, which looked and tasted bad -- except the broccoli, which was decent, though there were only a few pieces. On our most recent visit, we both got buffalo wings and 2 pazookies. The wings were overly saucy and not great, though I liked the Nashville ones a bit more since I got a half-and-half. About 30 minutes after leaving, both of our stomachs were upset -- likely from the wings. I only had a few, but my partner got violently sick and started throwing up. After two visits, both with bad service and food that made us sick, I won't be coming back. The only thing I'd recommend is the pazookies. read more

While traveling for work recently, my husband stopped by this restaurant for lunch. He was very pleased. He had buffalo wings and a local beer and said the meal was very good. The service was fantastic! The waitstaff was kind and professional, and very helpful. The restaurant was clean and everything appeared to be running smoothly. When he travels, he typically tries to go to places that he would not be able to find back home, and although this is a chain restaurant that we have in Maryland, he wanted to go there for lunch because he wanted a meal he knew he would enjoy based on his experience back home. BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse is a rather large American food establishment with this particular location being off Shelbyville road attached to the oxmoor center mall in louisville Kentucky. While attached to the mall it is only accessible through its own exterior entrance and has its own separate set of dates and times of opening and closing. Me and my oldest two daughters stopped in here for a late dinner around 9pm on a Thursday. Upon walking in to the low light dimmed establishment the place was crowded but not packed. I'd say 60 percent capacity or so. Pretty impressive for a random Thursday night in early March. We was told there would be a 5 min wait to sit down. The wait was closer to 20 min so I'm gonna assume they were understaffed on this night. The interior is massive and has unique and fun decor along with an impressive full Service bar. After being sat down it took a while for our waitress to bring out our drinks and take our order. The slowness of service is honestly our biggest issue on our visit. After ordering it took around 30 minutes until our entrees arrived. Our order Consisted of me getting a Deep Dish Ziti. The ziti came in a small cast iron skillet type plate and was very good. At first it didn't look like much food but it was pretty deep and had plenty of substance. Chocked full of sausages (heartburn city for me that night ) and tasty noodles and cheese this meal had great flavor all around and filled me up well. My oldest daughter got the Pacific poke soba noodles which after seeing her order and eat it I still can't explain exactly what it is. However she said it was top notch and was a big fan. So whatever it is, it must be tasty. My 2nd oldest sprung for a mini cheese pizza and liked it. I took a bite and it had nice flavor. I could see myself ordering a full pizza here one day in the future. We splurged and got some desserts. We had heard about a famed Pizookie Dessert here and decided to give it a shot. With us having a party of 3 it made sense for us to get the Pizookie Trio which came with 3 smaller pizookie's that we could make to order for ourselves instead of sharing one or two normal Sized pizookie's. The Pizookie Is a cake like treat with a scoop or ice cream on top. I personally went with the Mini Triple Chocolate Pizookie Made With Ghirardelli and it was phenomenal. Very good and tasty treat. My daughters got the Strawberry shortcake and cookies N cream mini pizookie and both were also big fans. Cool, unique and tasty treat. Overall we had a good visit here. The atmosphere had a upscale sports bar vibe. They had several flat screen TVs with sports on as well. The TVs were kinda tiny but still easily visible from seats. The food was all ranging from really good to great. The service or our trip needed some work. Kinda slow, not very friendly or appreciative of service on our trip. Hopefully that isn't the norm here and we just caught them on an off or understaffed night. Horrible experience. Entree came 45 minutes after the rest of the tables after asking for checking in on the meal. Waiter only came to the table when flagged down, a different waiter brought the entree that was 45 minutes late to the wrong table, then our waiter picked it up from their table and laid it in front of me.
