Foos (4/5): Got the spicy pork topped with egg. Overall solid and delicious but some of the pork was a bit tougher. Service (4/5): You order from the cashier and then pick up from a designated area. Food came out fast and no issues. They gave cold water cups. Ambiance (4/4): Chill outdoor vibes with a decent amount of seating.

This menu needs updating. Food does not come out looking like this

We were so disappointed because of the great reviews. The pictures at the counter menu is different than what they serve. The meals now come with a salad drenched in honey mustard. My wife enjoyed her Kalbi Steak, and the soft eggs were cooked perfectly in all our dishes, however the rest of our dishes were drowned in sesame oil and honey mustard! Both the Beef & Butter, and the Shoyu Chicken were tender, but unfortunately the flavor was drowned out. I do not understand these joints that drench sauces all over their dishes! It wasn't even busy when we came. We enjoyed the chill music & vibes with the outdoor dining on the street side. They just need to take it easy on the sauces. FYI: There is no restroom.

11:45pm on our first night on Oahu after weeks of island hopping when we wound up here which was a blessing! The owner was amazing! He and those working were so gracious preparing one of us a snowcone after checking to see that some had frozen after running out earlier and it was out of this world -old school perfect crunchy with delicious strawberry flavoring. Also gracious enough to prepare the best glass noodles we've had anywhere-crunchy fresh carrot strips and cabbage with perfectly cheesy seasoned glass noodles. The Tteokbokki was perfect as he tailored spice level to our preference which isn't super hot lol. We are writing this after five days on this island and we still haven't found better food or all around better and kinder service than this little treasure.

Came back two days in a row just for the fresh pinapple smoothie. It was like dole whip in a straw. The dude at the register gave us samples and we were hooked. Even after he gave us the drinks he still gave us another cup with more Pineapple smoothie hahah! 10/10 shakas

Can't speak to ambiance or service since I didn't dine in. Another DoorDash order but super awesome plate of food. Got the Tofu Bibimbap with a side of Kalbi. What a winning choice. Food was awesome, everything tasted great. The tofu bibimbap was cheaper than the others but with the side of Kalbi made it around the same price so that was worth it. A little spicy but that's okay. Lots of food, could've been two meals but scarfed it all down in one sitting lol.

Kalbi beef and egg - meat is tender

You just order at the counter and it took 5 minutes to get my food. The beef is so tender. I thought the bowls came with pickled onions and sauces but this was just beef, an egg, rice and lettuce with dressing. I would make sure to ask what comes on top as their menu isn't very descriptive. It may be extra for sauces. They only have outdoor seating

I was sooooo sad when visiting here yesterday. They used to have wonderful quality kalbi, this is no longer the case. I couldn't even eat it, and I used to come here for lunch regularly for years. They added mandoo to the menu, which was actually really tasty so for that they get an extra star, but please go back to your old kalbi recipe because whatever you served me yesterday was offensive

Topped serves delicious traditional Korean food. They have a small patio with seating available. They do not accept reservations, so if you want to grab a seat then you may need to wait. They have a lot of options and no matter what you choose, you should be happy.

Quick to go outdoor spot for a late night flight in on this first eats of Oahu trip. Portions were larger than I expected for a 10pm late late dinner and also had a korean paste spicyness I wasn't expecting. It was really good even though I was really hungry. I'd suggest getting a drink here or some where to help with that kick if you aren't used to it. The food was made quick for to go too and you appreciate that for a late night grub. I initially had trouble looking for it so be sure to peek the outdoor photos to get a sense of what you're looking for.

Food was awesome, affordable korean food that taste good. Staffs were nice to everyone even some people just asked questions about another stuff. I personally want to recommend. They have tables and chairs so you can eat or take it back to the hotel to eat.

Good food, I liked it. Service was good. Seating is below average and needs improvement but overall good experience.

So many of the Korean restaurants in Honolulu have servers who are actually mean to the customers and we now refuse to give them our dining dollars. The more modern Korean restaurants are providing much better customer experiences so that a customer becomes a life-long customer who spreads the word to family and friends and who keeps coming back for life. Does anyone remember the "Angry Korean Auntie" who used to run her restaurant like Seinfeld's "Soup Nazi'? That is the kind of service that we try to avoid now regardless of food quality. The atmosphere here is elegant and welcoming and the food is excellent and the ban chans served here are better than any other Korean restaurant in Honolulu. We enjoy coming here and never smell like BBQ when we leave, LOL, due to efficient fans and AC's. We went with the Prix Fixe Menu of the 9 courses, for $70 per person. First we were given the banchans. They have A LOT and I love banchans so it was a great start to the meal. I wonder if you could get refills on the banchans like many other KBBQ spots... I didn't get the chance to find out as I was STUFFED by the end of my meal. The steamed egg also came fairly fast, they offered to serve it for us which we took up on that offer. Then we also received the kimchi pancake. Here is what I'd note, I am a bit confused on the portion sizes. As the prix fixe menu is per person, shouldn't the dishes and servings per person? Like why would the kimchi pancake be one and shared between two? As well as the egg? We then got all of the various cuts of the meats. Everything was good and quite enjoyable. We also had a choice between soup (soybean or tofu) and cold noodles (reg or spicy). We both chose the spicy cold noodles. It was very good and a refreshing side to pair with the KBBQ. We were honestly stuffed by the end of our meal and enjoyed it all. Despite my slight concern/confusion regarding the serving/pricing, I would possibly come back. Although I usually go for an AYCE kbbq spot as it is definitely more worth it value wise.

The restaurant gives off Korean pub vibes, decently sized, and best suited for smaller groups. We ordered a variety of food: chicken combo, kimbap, bulgogi, bossam, and spicy rice cakes. The chicken was okay, but not something I'd order again. The spicy sauce was drenched all over the chicken and was very spicy. My go-to order is always the poke and kalbi, and the third dish depends on whatever my partner is craving that day. Parking can be a little challenging, but I promise it's worth it. We are extremely disappointed with our recent experience…read more We've been loyal customers and typically eat here twice a week whenever we're on assignment on the island in the last five years. We have also left two previous positive reviews because we've genuinely enjoyed the food and wanted to support this small business. Earlier this week, we ordered the bulgogi for our kids, but the meat was too chewy and tough making it inedible. Wanting to give the restaurant the benefit of the doubt, we ordered the bulgogi again the following day and even requested it be cooked well done. Unfortunately, it had the same too chewy and tough texture, and again, could not be eaten. After feeding the kids something else, bathing them, and putting them to bed, I called the restaurant around 10:00 p.m., but they had already closed. I called the next day, and the owner (a lady with glasses) returned my call. Instead of listening to my concerns, she repeatedly interrupted me and spoke in a passive-aggressive, dismissive manner. I was on speakerphone with four other adults in the car, and everyone commented on how unhelpful and condescending the conversation felt. I explained that I wasn't calling simply to complain - I wanted to share feedback because we genuinely care about the restaurant and have supported it for a long time. I even mentioned that I had previously provided constructive feedback about the takeout bowls, which the restaurant later improved. Before I could finish, she cut me off and said, "We're not talking about the to-go bowls right now, are we? We're talking about your bulgogi." She insisted that if I wanted a refund, I needed to return to the restaurant in person, and that if something was wrong in the future, I should come back immediately so they could remake it. Unfortunately, that's simply not realistic for us. We're staying in a hotel with two young children, and the restaurant is about 40 minutes away. By the time we discovered the problem, got the kids settled, and called, making another round trip would have meant roughly 80 minutes of additional driving with tired, hungry children. I understand that mistakes happen, and I wasn't expecting perfection. What disappointed me most was how the concern was handled. This business does not value customer feedback and will never first listen respectfully, even from repeat customers who have consistently supported and recommended them. Sadly, based on this experience with both the food quality and the customer service, we won't be returning.

The premium AYCE option is around $60 per person, which would be reasonable if the quality matched the price. Unfortunately, it doesn't. We're from the Bay Area and have been to countless Korean BBQ restaurants with significantly better meat quality for the same price or less. To make matters worse, even at the highest-priced AYCE tier, fountain drinks aren't included. What really left a bad impression was the automatic 20% gratuity. Our group consisted of two separate parties of three people each. We were seated together at one large table with two grills, but we had separate bills, ordered different AYCE meats option, didn't share food, and made that CLEAR before ordering. The menu states that automatic gratuity applies to parties of five or more, yet we were still charged because we happened to sit together. Had we known this was their policy, we would have chosen another restaurant or sat at different areas of the restaurant. The reason I'm giving two stars instead of one is because our servers were friendly, patient, and knowledgeable. They answered all of our questions about the menu and provided excellent service throughout the meal. Unfortunately, when we brought the gratuity issue to the manager, he insisted we were one large party despite us being separate parties with separate orders and separate checks. At the end of the day, the only difference was that we happened to be sitting at the same table. Overall, the service from the staff was great, but the overpriced food, disappointing meat quality, and questionable gratuity policy make it hard for me to recommend this place.
