Tofu VIETNAMESE CURRY & RICE (Mild) with tofu
    Brooke T.

This is a nice, fast, and affordable lunch option. I ordered ahead through UberEats and our food was ready about 10 minutes later. I enjoyed my tofu curry.

Located inside Dis very Bay mini mall. Food is Vietnamese. Soup noodle Pho was good, all meats, broth, and veggies all in bowl. Banana rolls very good, crispy skin, soft banana inside. Beef stew good, comes with choice of rice, noodle or bread. Service was excellent, friendly and very attentive for what we need. Ambiance is similar to small eat and go cafe. Beware, 3% fee if using credit card. Overall 3.5 stars out of 5. Round up to 4 stars.

I love me some Vietnamese food but I was a little disappointed in the quality of the meals. Service was okay, attentive but mostly bringing the meal to you and letting you walk up to pay after. Very casual vibe. Kind of a small space. Parking was $6 for us, we only stayed for about 50 minutes . You can park at Discovery Bay. There's not a lot of spots so cross your fingers! Food wasn't the best. We love to support our Vietnamese businesses but this one was a rough one. We ordered a lot of items and they all fell short. -spring rolls (they fry it with the banana lumpias so the spring rolls have a banana taste to it. If you don't mind this then order it.) -Vietnamese crepe (not as much flavor as I thought it would have considering viet crepes usually have a turmeric taste) -manupua bao (it was ok but Chan wah kam has better ones. I would say this one is very health conscious and made in that manner) -vermicelli and tofu (tofu had minimal flavor to it, was tough because they are generous with their quantities) I wouldn't really go out of my way, especially all the way out to Waikiki to eat here again. But they are kind and try their best. It just really wasn't my vibe.

The pho was perfect for warming me up after returning from a sunset sail. I love how there are many vegan options. The broth for the vegan was light and tasty. Along with tofu and the usual pho vegetables (basil, beans sprouts, onion), they included other vegetables like cauliflower and carrots. The tofu had a sour/tangy taste. We sat outside of the restaurant since I came with a group. Food came out quick after ordering. As for payment recommend cash.

Very lovely place. It was quiet and not a lot of patrons inside so I think people are missing out on a little gem. I had the pork bánh xèo. Perfect in flavor down to the tender pork belly. The belly was sliced so thin there was no unlikeable fatty chew to it. Lots of fresh toppings for it: basil, bean sprouts, cucumbers, pickled daikon and carrots. The beef stew my husband had was so rich in flavor, both sweet and cravably savory. The beef tender and filling. The fried banana rolls were a good amount of sweet but because of how they're wrapped, can feel a bit greasy. I'd had loved to see it with some vanilla ice cream to take it over the top and break up some of the greasiness. Overall very good place to try.

Friendly staff, delicious food, and a few tables outside (covered) for those that want to enjoy the fresh air.

I'm so glad we found this restaurant, it was across the street from the hotel we were staying. The waitress was very friendly. The food was so delicious, so fresh. The nuc mam sauce was done so well especially after I added the side table chilli oil- I was dipping everything in there, even the vegetables. Authentic Vietnamese Food! Also, side note, it's conveniently located nextdoor to The ABC Suprette store.

Unexpectedly stopped here with friends and found it to be a gem. Very simple and casual ambience with delicious food and friendly counter service. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, and the prices were reasonable for the Waikiki area.

    Vietnamese Pancake

After browsing the late-night options in the area, I wanted something comforting and casual. After a fair amount of looking at the bahn mi and pho, I got the vietnamese pancake and a ginger lemonade. The pancake was crispy, light, and airy throughout, the pork was flavorful and cooked just the right amount, and the pickled vegetables and cucumbers cut through the richness and fat to make for a balanced and forkful that was sweet, sour, savory, crunchy, tender, just a super satisfying bite. Even after 15-20 minutes, it still retained some crunch on the bottom layer. The ginger lemonade I ordered with some reservation because I feel like more often than not this simple beverage is done really poorly and leaves an acrid aftertaste in the mouth. I could have easily drankanother, and third to go. As someone who has made lemonade from scratch, this is a really good one, and the addition of some soda water puts it over the top. When I showed up it was fairly late and there was only one other person eating there. The service was friendly and prompt. It was small inside like most restaurants below the 50 dollars a head line in waikiki, but it was very cozy and welcoming. It would be great place for a small group to have a nice relaxing and casual dinner. I hope to be back and try a few more options before I leave.

Excellent , fresh, and healthy Vietnamese food. Fantastic service. Loved the ambiance with the cheery atmosphere and Vietnamese pop music. The Vietnamese pancake / bahn xeo was great! The pancake was very nice and suuper crispy, a little bit oily but the fresh lettuce, carrots, and daikon added a lot of freshness and brightness to it. Loved how crispy the shell was ! Great pho! The broth is flavorful, the noodles were a nice texture. The meat quantity was very generous. The brisket was soo tender. I also tried the vermicelli noodles with pork. I didn't care for the thin spiced pork too much, but everything else in the dish was nice. Lots of great drink selections. Ginger lemonade was too sweet, but we watered it down with some sparkling water and it was perfect. Would visit again! Great prices!!

I was a little late getting here. The sign on the door said that they close at 9pm. I got here around 9:10pm and the cashier at the door said that they were still open. Since it was so late I just needed a little snack. I got an order of the crispy banana rolls $7 and a tapioca pudding $6. The crispy banana rolls came with three pieces. The tapioca was really thick. It was one of the thickest that I've had in my life. The hubby really liked it though. He likes his tapioca thick. I prefer mine on the thinner side. The service was swift and smooth. The cashier was really sweet. There will be a 3% fee if you use your charge card.

The food is amazing, but the service is even better. The owners are amazing Cindy and Bobby I really enjoy their company and their whole families here and it just feels like I've been in the heart of the city upon Honolulu by the way the shrimp PHO is so good

    VIETNAMESE CURRY & RICE (Mild)
    Audrey ..

Casual small restaurant, open late and easy walk to beach hotels. Quick service -no wait. Ordered the mild curry and it was watery and too spicy for my taste. For the price I was expecting more ingredients like meat, taro, spinach and creamy coconut milk not watery broth with a 3 small pieces of taro, wilted spinach and small portion of toppings ...IMO while the taro was tasty I felt the curry needed more solid food to pair and complement the serving of jasmine rice. Food was pricey with the additional 3% credit card fee.

This is my first time trying their food, and I have a lot of positive thoughts regarding their dishes. Their beef brisket noodle was one of my all-time favorites compared to other locations, because they are generous with the amount of brisket they give you and they use egg noodles by default. Their soup was okay, but the braised and marinated meat was definitely the highlight of this dish. So the thing about coming to Fun Station is the "suspended flying noodle thingy" which I didn't go for, but if you like Instagramable stuffs, then I supposed you would probably go for that flying-noodle dish. As for me, I mainly came to try their Minute Chicken Cake Noodles, and as a bonus......... I actually got a 20% discount thanks to my friend - Jennifer C. who let a Bruddah know about da DEALAGES in da Sunday food section newspaper, as they had a coupon! The Sunday morning when I came with my friend, I can clearly see that this restaurant was thriving, as every table in the restaurant was taken. Fun Station specializes in noodles, but if you're not into that, they do serve other items like - soups, vegetable dishes, rice plates, & porridge (jook). Upon looking over the menu, we ordered the following items - 1. Frrrrrrried Chicken Wings ($9.95) for an appetizer 2. Minute Chicken Cake Noodles ($17.95 - minus da 20% coupon DEALAGES) 3. Beef Brisket Tendon & Won Ton in soup ($18.95) What can I say about da grub??? Da chicken wings came out hot & crispy. Although they featured only "flats" vs. drums (I like drums), I must say da wings was nicely executed. As for the Minute Chicken Cake Noodles.........nicely plated on a fancy smanshy panda plate. The cake noodles weren't drowning in gravy, so the noodles stayed crispy on the dish. I really liked how they did this dish, and would easily come back here to eat it again. My friend had the Beef Brisket Tendon & Won Ton soup. The dish looked good, and there weren't any complaints, so I take it that it was pretty ono! Overall, a very satisfying meal and the service here was on point, as the staff was friendly & very efficient. Easy 5 stars for the Minute Chicken Cake Noodles! Chance 'em!

Then the food starts arriving. We ordered way more than we needed and almost everything impressed me. The chow fun was cooked exactly the way I like it. Chewy, smoky and never overcooked. My only complaint was that it leaned a little saltier than I prefer, but it was still very good. The Hainan chicken was the surprise of the meal. Perfectly tender with an incredible ginger sauce that I'd happily put on just about anything. Even the dishes I normally avoid won me over. I've never been much of a lotus root person, but theirs was crisp, savory and honestly delicious. The wontons were another highlight. Since we skipped the noodles, they generously gave us extra wontons instead, which was a really thoughtful touch. What really pushed this place from good to memorable, though, was the staff. We were there with our two and four year old and they couldn't have been kinder. They brought over little toys to keep the kids occupied, checked on us throughout the meal and made us feel genuinely welcome. None of it felt forced. It was just warm, thoughtful hospitality and that's something I always remember long after I've forgotten exactly what I ate. The bathroom situation isn't ideal, you have to use the one outside the restaurant, but that's really my only complaint beyond the slightly salty chow fun. This isn't the place I'd recommend for date night or a long evening out. It's the kind of neighborhood restaurant you walk into expecting very little, then leave thinking, that was a lot better than it had any right to be. We'll definitely be back.

I was disappointed by the service today, especially because there was less people between 1:30 PM - 2:30 PM when I went. The staff had automatically thrown in green onions and tempura flakes, which was not requested. They were just throwing in things without the usual ask they do. Especially, this hurt most when there was a rude lady staff passing out toppings. My family member had kindly requested for green onions a few times, and mind you again, we did not have a line when we entered in, but this lady snickered and ignored her request. I had to sternly request for green onions which eventually happened. The service should not be this way. This is an amazing restaurant, but the experience was utterly ruined from that service experience.

Once we were seated, though, the food was absolutely worth it. We had the chicken katsu, sizzling miso, minced pork, shrimp and chicken, and a katsu sandwich to go. The chicken katsu was AMAZING and easily the best katsu we had on the island. The sizzling miso was also amazing, and the shrimp and chicken was great. The minced pork was probably our least favorite, but still decent. And the katsu sandwich we took to go was amazing as well. I also really enjoyed the sesame at the table. You grind it yourself and then mix in the sauce, so you get that fresh sesame flavor right before eating. It was a fun little part of the meal and made the whole experience feel more interactive. The only real downside was how cramped the table for two felt once all the dishes, side dishes, sauces, and everything else arrived. There is a lot going on at the table, so there isn't much room to spare. My only real complaint was actually how they handle the waiting area. The space is tiny and was absolutely packed with people waiting to be called. They told us to wait inside, but there was plenty of room outside where people could have waited instead. It would have made the tiny indoor area much less crowded and easier for everyone.

The meat is also thick (unlike OTHER chain shabu shabu places that rhyme with Kabuya) and fills you up quickly (even in the set meals). I usually get the $17 eye round set that comes with meat, broth, veggies, and ramen noodles. I love the Beefy Wild and could drink the broth. Sometimes I get a side of rice and make a lil porridge with the broth. But you cannot go wrong with anything at Kamitoku. I love this place, so please never go out of business!

Split pot, each person picks a set (can be different), downside was broth refills are $1, which I thought was tacky, considering you do all your own cooking at your table. So I just added water to my pot, worked just fine. Space is small, but every table has their own area, which is nice for privacy when talking over a meal. MENU: Limited, no seafood on the hot pot menu, just FYI. They also have an AYCE option too.
