No where in the system is a latch ever attach to the cable. This would have doubled the price. After complaining they switch it to a window regulator which is also double the price of the cable. I was also trying to purchase a center console. They try to charge for center console and armrest. The captains chairs have the arm rests. The center console can out with 4 bolts as an assembly as sold by the manufacturer. They did end up caving on the center console after I was ready to walk. I did not buy the inflated cables. As luck would have it, this particular location (Clearwater) was the only LKQ in the surrounding area to have a 350z, and it just so happened to be the same exact year as mine (albeit not in any kind of proud shape)! The gentlemen working there are very serious because they have to be. I joked about putting parts in my pants and while they chuckled with me about it, I got the feeling that people really pull those stunts. Mike seemed to be the head honcho in charge and he was very fun to interact with....I might even go so far as to say he is a jolly old fellow (I really hope he is reading this). One of the guys working there named Dan was super cool and helped me pull a part when I got stuck without the proper tools. I know, I'm a female, so I am aware that such help is probably hard to come by if you're a male, but if you're a male, I guess it is expected that you're handy with the tools when you visit the junkyard. Also, the only bathrooms are portolets, so...hold it if you can. If you can't, they weren't too awful looking...I'd just avoid it as much as possible. They refunded me the part I returned due to not needing it, and even credited me the discount for bringing back my old non-working window motor. In short, I'm sure there are plenty of junkyards around (many of which I visited at the ripe age of 19), but if you're interested in saving money and you have the time, LKQ is bound to be worth your while....just go with a fully charged phone so you can YouTube things when you get stuck midway through!

I am talking about dealing with Van Steel. I purchased a rear coil over suspension kit from them for my 1968 Corvette. Let us say that this was some time ago. I had an issue a month or so ago, I had misplaced or lost some parts for this installation. I called and talked to a woman sorry that I don't remember her name she was very kind and helpful in finding the parts that I needed. I purchased them on a Thursday and they were in my hand on the following Monday. I then ran into a problem with a part, even though after the length of time it had been most companies would have just said sorry it is out of warranty. They instead offered several solutions to the problem and suggested the one that I believed would fix the problem with the least amount of effort. They also stated that if this did not fix the issue they would work with me to find a solution that would solve it. I am hoping that the simple fix works but am very confident that if it does not they will work with me until a solution is achieved.

Usually they have 2 registers going when i swing by, anywhere from 9-11 and the wait varies. One time i waited 12 minutes just to ring up some oil and go, another time I was in and out 5 minutes. The store workers are also the cashiers and if some guy has them running to get filters and mufflers and look up the price of a starter for a 1986 Gmc Safari; you could be there a while. 80% of the time i am in and out no sweat, depends on what time you go i suppose. The workers don't seem to be in any hurry, but they are friendly and helpful. I get good advice about what "level" of filter to buy and how i can save money buying napa brand that's on sale. If you need some parts or some advice, do yourself a favor and stop in.
