Stopped here on a Friday night during a layover en route to Texas. We drove to another place - they were closed - I almost killed us on those stupid frontage roads that have no definitive lines and you take your life into your hands by merging onto the interstate. We went into the drive thru and ordered a couple of sandwiches and a plate of food. It was later in the night - and the meat was really dry and not that good. I didn't mind mine but overall it was old food from the day.

Had a lot of hope. Read previous reviews and was hopeful - got pork sandwich and it was all fat. Bread was good and potato salad was good. Where am I ? West Memphis has NO FOOD OPTIONS

Some of the best BBQ on God's green planet. This was yummy & a pure joy. If you never tried this stop on by and get a pulled pork sandwich and a side of skins. With a drink. Because you gatta get a drink it's so hot outside.

Tops is a perfect fast food place to get some on bbq when you're outside of Memphis and on the road. That's about the only time you want to come here. My wife ordered their brisket sandwich, which was ok. Wasn't a big fan of it. I ordered their pork sandwich with Cole slaw and it was actually a pretty decent sandwich. The pork was very tasty and had good flavor. Service was friendly and quick and the restaurant was pretty clean. Not sure if I'd repeat this unless, like previously stated I'm on the road and not in Memphis. If I was bbq though, I would still make every effort to get into Memphis. But If you can't, then Tops really isn't a bad option.

First, our expectation was not very high seeing that this is more or less a "fast food" bbq place. That being said, the food was pretty good. The dining area and restrooms were in pretty bad shape, cleanliness wise, which is an automatic "scratch this one off the list" for my wife. Still, we both enjoyed our meals. The brisket was very tender and moist but did not have a smoked flavor nor coloring. I wouldn't eat in the dining room again, but would probably order take out next time we pass this way.

Cold lifeless nachos... don't do it.

Cold lifeless nachos with nothing on them. Don't do it. Scary food temps... Arby's next door would be a better option.

Ribs are dry and way over cooked. This was a waste of money, I ended up eating Sonic

The rib plate I got was way over cooked like they microwave them. I guess not all bbq can taste as good as KC BBQ. Tops BBQ was a waste of money

Tops is a local fast-food chain around Memphis offering up charcoal BBQ and burgers. I was told the burgers are the bomb...and I was told right. I got a nice 1/4 pound cheeseburger with all the fixings. Nice and juicy and seasoned well. Crinkle cut fries were nice too. Wish I stayed in town long enough to try some of their slow cooked stuff. Next time. Definitely a good burger.

Not much to look at from the outside but the smell of meat smoking was a reason to stop. Nice clean place inside and we were greeted and our order was taken promptly. I had a pulled pork sandwich with beans and potato salad, the pork didn't really have much flavor and was a bit bland for my liking but the beans were delicious as was the potato salad.

A dead fly was at the bottom of my bag when I pulled my food out of it f****** gross. To be reported to the health inspectors office.

No that would be soft serve was the answer. They do have real ice cream too. We were a bit slow on the uptake, and our sweet counter girl, Emily, who was in her 20s but looked 15, patiently explained the ice cream came in a cup and the milk shakes were soft serve only, because evidently their shake machine can't handle the hard real stuff. We caved, got soft serve. We wanted malts not ice cream sprinkled with malt. *sigh.* Bella, Michael and Kennedy looked on, in training with our youthful trainer, and Kennedy remarked, "You're living on the edge," It was her first day. The place also had other retro food, except for the seed oils, which meant shakes only for us.

-- Disappointing Experience from Start to Finish…read more Seafood Shack | 308 Bancario Rd, Marion, AR 72364 I really wanted to enjoy this place, but unfortunately our visit was one of the most frustrating dining experiences I've had in a long time. After our appetizer was served, we sat for an excessively long time waiting for our entrees with no update from our server. The gap between courses was unacceptable -- there was no acknowledgment of the delay, no apology, and no communication whatsoever from our waitress. To make matters worse, when the bill finally arrived, it was completely wrong. Our waitress had mixed up the orders and charged us incorrectly. Rather than having it resolved at the table, we were forced to leave our seats and walk up to the front counter ourselves just to get the ticket straightened out. That alone speaks volumes about the level of service (or lack thereof) being provided. Between the endless wait, the billing errors, and having to sort out someone else's mistake on our own time, this was a thoroughly unpleasant outing. For a seafood restaurant, the experience should match the food -- and neither delivered. Do NOT recommend. Save yourself the headache and dine elsewhere.

The place is not very big inside, tables and chairs in the middle with a booth wall with chairs around the perimeter. Calamari and corn dog appetizers for starters, they were both very good. The mini corn battered dogs were exceptionally good Combo platter with fish, tenders and shrimp was where I opted, served with fries and coleslaw. The fish was very good, cooked to perfection, same for the chicken tenders and the shrimp. Had the shrimp grilled and they were very good. This is a hearty platter of food and it hit the spot for me that night. I had a cold bottled Stella with my meal and it was a great add. 4.5 Stars rounded up for the Stella in the bottle 01129

This location is a large building with lots of seating options. I had to try Central as it keeps winning awards and is consistently mentioned as the top BBQ place in the Memphis area. Some of their awards were displayed at the entrance and on the walls. Lots of history. My wife ordered the Pulled Pork Sandwich and had the slaw on the side so I could have it (she's not a slaw fan). I had the small order of ribs with 1/2 dry and 1/2 wet with sides of BBQ Beans and Mac n Cheese. I tried the pulled pork and it was tender and delicious. My ribs were pretty good with my favorite part being the wet ribs. The dry part was overcooked and really dry and chewy. This was a bit of a disappointment. The BBQ beans were flavorful but a bit mushy. The Mac n cheese also mushy a bit but tasted better than it looked. I love great BBQ so I like Central BBQ but may have caught them on a bad day. Oh, they were out of a lot of T Shirt options/size I wanted too. Darn. I wanted to buy one. I would return and try the brisket, pulled pork or poultry items next time.

I ordered wings and two dry slabs of ribs. When my family and I finally decided to eat the ribs on Monday, they were disgusting. They had seasoning caked all on them, and they were overly salty. We wiped off the caked-on seasoning and tried to eat around the saltiness. I was praying the 2nd slab was not the same. When I opened them on 5/27 to see, they were the same. I was trying to avoid calling because I just didn't feel like being bothered. But I called. I left a message for the manager to return my call that morning because "he is in the middle of an interview." So I called back that afternoon and was transferred to Ethan. I explained the situation to him. As I was speaking, he kept making the noise un-huh. So, I stopped talking and asked him what it meant aside from it just being rude as hell. He went on to explain that they missed a step and did not rub in the seasoning and shake it off. I don't care. It's an internal quality issue that should be handled with the prep and cook staff. Not me. He asked if I had my receipt and, in a tone that suggested he was doing me a favor, advised me that he would replace the slab. No apologies for the inconvenience or anything.   After my long workday, I went all the way downtown to get the slab replaced. In person, Ethan is just as rude. I asked if he was going to replace both slabs. He could clearly see the quality was trash. He said no and that he would only replace one. Then went on to offer me sides and a slice of cake. No, thank you. I can afford sides and cake just like I did those trash slabs of ribs. Those slabs of ribs cost $62.40 before taxes. With taxes probably being another 5 or 6 dollars. Your mistakes and poor quality should not cost me. He had a young lady bring the replacement slab back out to me. She didn't say thank you or anything. One thing I know is that a white man or woman patronizing your business would not have been treated this way. As a result, moving forward I will spend my Black woman dollars elsewhere on barbeque and smoked chicken wings. Also, I removed you all from my company's approved catering list where we spend a nice amount with you all yearly. Tell Ethan, thanks for helping me see the light and not spend money where I'm not respected and where my customer experience isn't valued.
