I have fallen in love with this place! I highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for good quality work and professionalism! I recently moved here from Northern California and was referred to this place by a neighbor. When I first arrived I was greeted by a young lady who was super nice and asked me to have a seat. I waited about 2 mins and then another young women by the name of Danielle greeted me and walked me back to her "booth". She was super nice and sweet; she took my coat and hung it up and offered me a drink- She pointed out the magazines and asked if she could get me a specific one- I declined. She then asked me what I wanted to have done. I showed her a picture of the hair color that I wanted and she said, "no problem, we can do that". Danielle was very nice and listened to all of my concerns and seemed to genuinely care about what i had to say and did not sound like a "know it all". she finished my hair color and I swear gave me the best shampoo wash i have ever had- I walked out of that place feeling like a pampered queen and looking super good with my new hair color! I have recommended this place to all of my friends and plan on being a long term customer here. As a Salon Distributor of Professional Hair Care Products, I service Salons from La Jolla to Oceanside. Top Styles is one of my favorite Salons. I always refer my Friends to Top Styles as I have spent hours in this Salon in awe of the talent & expertise that this Team produces. The Guest Service at this Salon is exceptional. The Salon itself is very inviting and beautiful. The Owner Pat Holk & her Team are extremely dedicated to their Craft as Professional Hair Stylist! They are passionate about their work & equally dedicated to their Clients. I needed my hair highlighted and done up for my brother's wedding (where I was the best lady), and I decided to make the trek from northern Virginia to southern California a few days earlier so that Loretta could do it. I knew she'd do an absolutely gorgeous job. She has been doing my own hair, as well as some members of my family, since I was in junior high. She knows what she's doing, she does it in a timely-manner, she is talkative and interactive the entire time, and I am always happy and looking incredible upon leaving the salon. This visit in was no different. Being a family friend and hairstylist of ours for years, she came in on her day off to accommodate us for the wedding. And beyond her artistry, she helped calm all of our wedding jitters. And at the wedding, a close family-friend, who has known me for years, commented that it was the best he'd ever seen me look. I had my hair done to day at Top Styles in Oceanside, by Beth. She was so awesome. This was the first time I had my hair done by a pro and not a box from Walmart. Let me start by saying thank you to the owner Pat. She was amazing. My dad got my mother and I gift certificates for Christmas 2015, with it being a crazy year we where not able to go. But when we had a chance about 4 months ago. Oh the certificates where for facial, she did not have anyone to do it. The last week I decide to call and see if she had found anyone yet. The years had taken their toll on my blond hair. Finally tired of the salt & pepper color and cuts from the " get'm in get'm out " places, a friend recommended Loretta at Top Styles. I wasn't a salon type of guy, but the friendly atmosphere and staff have change that. No more in & out super cuts for me. I had needed to have my hair done and I had seen an ad for Topstyles. I walked in and a very nice lady(her name was Loretta Bivens) met me and I sat in her chair. I had asked her, what would be best for my hair. She explained everything to me and I said Let's do it. Needless to say I have gone to Loretta now for a couple of years. I am a devoted fan and although I travel all across the US for business, I skip the local day spas and come back to Top Styles. I haven't gone anywhere else for years. She is that good, that reliable and surprisingly reasonable. Pat, Kelly, Loretta and Mary all have a wonderful ability to listen and focus on the hair style and level of maintenance I am hoping for. First things first, I do not trust anyone with my hair. With that being said, Waffa Abbas is THE BEST HAIRSTYLIST EVER! My hair is thick, wavy (super curly in some areas), and long. Before finding Waffa most hairstylist wouldn't know how to cut my hair or style it where it properly complimented the rest of me (the reason we get hair cuts and style it daily). I can honestly say that I can walk in, sit in Waffa's chair and tell her to what I want and completely trust that my hair will be absolutely beautiful! This review is for nail services. I've been getting acrylics for years and Lynn is hands down the best. Don't expect a 1 hr. in / out service, she takes a little more time but it's worth it for me because they look natural and they don't lift. I get compliments on my nails all the time.
