Baja Shrimp Grilled
Delores L.

Today in I felt adventurous and decided to go inside the Torchys restaurant v the drive thru ...totally different experience in a good way. I purchased 2 tacos with guacamole (my guilty pleasure) and chips. The Baja shrimp and salmon tacos were and explosion of textures and flavors. It is also important to note, there are significant amounts in each taco. The guacamole was tasty. Two team members took my order as one was a trainee. They were both super pleasant. I had not been in the restaurant until today. The renovations refresh was nice. The Torchy Devil symbol is prominent throughout the restaurant. Bold red paint hugged the walls of the restaurant. Indoor and outdoor seating options are available for consumers.

This was our first TexMex taco experience and it was so good that we had some more Torchy's the day after. Soft, delicious, and the best flavor combinations. We tried some specials but of the main menu, these were our recommended and passable items: Our favorites: - Wrangler breakfast taco: so good, the brisket/egg/hash brown combo was a winner - Trailer park (trashy): definitely a must order...fried chicken in a flour tortilla is a no brainer - Crossroads: my NUMBER one favorite here. A very delicious brisket taco. - queso: the queso here is great- would recommend all the options Skip: - democrat: I saw this was top rated online but it was one of the most passable ones - hogfather: too sweet for me

Wet Baja Shrimp Grilled I came here to order Baja shrimp fried tacos never had this issue before the breading just completely was wet and fell off. I also ordered two other tacos. I called and spoke with the manager. She only voided off the two tacos. I think they're more courteous thing to do would've been to avoid the whole ticket... this was unfortunately my dinner so I had to try to peel off the wet breading and try to eat and cook Shrimp. Shrimp was a little pink. Not the best experience check number #463581 4211 Spicewood Springs Rd Austin, TX 78759 United States In case anyone from corporate sees it Mangers my suggestion is if this happens, please make sure you void the whole ticket as a courtesy.

A classic Torchys food location. Everything was made to order and had the same flavors you would find at any Torchys. The only real difference here was the seating was mainly outdoors and indoors was small/not AC'ed well. Summer time, this Torchys can get very warm. Beyond that though, seemed like a lot of to go orders left from here and the food itself was still good. Not a bad food option if you're craving Torchys!

Salsa 1/2 Guacamole Queso & Chips

Flavors are bursting as it all tastes so good! The Threesome with the salsa, guacamole, queso with chips is a must unless you don't like chips. My buddy loves the Republican tacos! I prefer the Democrat and Trailer Park tacos. Brushfire, Crossroads, Green Chile Pork tacos were all good just not my favs. Service is great as they are friendly and prompt. The place is kept cool and comfy or if you prefer hot and muggy, plenty of seats outdoor too. Food: 4.5 Service: 4.5 Ambiance: 4 Parking: 3 Overall: 4 Parking is the only nitpick but just go through the drive-thru if need be. Torchy's is in my weekly rotation now!

The queso is soo good! We really enjoyed our variety of tacos, too. This was our first time eating here so the staff were patient while we debated what to order. The fried avocado taco was my favorite. There's a nice outdoor patio to sit and enjoy your meal.

2.7 ounces of chicken

Sad state of affairs at this location. While the staff are super friendly, they've gotten very stingy with their proteins. Also, the quality of their meats has degraded significantly. The last two times I ordered a $15 salad, it had such a small amount of chicken that I decided to weigh it. It was 2.7 ounces. Way overpriced for such a small amount of chicken. Also, their queso is always cold. Hopeful that they'll made adjustments, but, they don't seem to be that interested as they don't reply to emails asking what's up with the above issues, either.

I made a phone order to pick up. Timed it to be able to watch the UT baseball game in the CWS. They got the order wrong. So disappointed.

The staff were kind and friendly too! I got the special of the week--a gyro taco-- and the fish n chips taco with a side of queso. He got the gyro taco as well and corn elote. The gyro taco was our absolute fave! The queso was so gooey and delicious, and the corn elote was everything too even though it wasn't on the cob. They have tacos, bowls, nachos... a really versatile menu suitable for any hungry person! They also have this velvet cake that I plan to get during my next visit--yes, we will be back!

Some tables could use a cleaning in between guests, but it was fairly clean. You order your food at the counter and they call you when it is ready. I ordered the grilled steak taco, rotisserie chicken taco and special taco of the week (pork dumpling smash taco). We also ordered the elote and queso to share. The elote was good, but very creamy and a bit heavy. The queso was good but tbh I prefer Torchy's. The grilled steak taco was a bit underwhelming, I wanted it to have more flavor, it just tasted like beef and cheese. The chicken had good flavor and the special weekly taco was enjoyable and interesting, not like any taco I have had before. There is plenty of variety for people including those with dietary restrictions. My friends ordered two tacos each and I was full after 3 tacos so if you are not a big eater stick with two.

My first time ever trying Michelin star tacos!…read more Suedero tacos and they were amazing! Juicy, tender, and with a squeeze of lime and salsa (red plus green) it was perfect! Like your girl can eat tacos but I had never been one to be like let's go get some cause I am craving them. But man cuantos tacos can definitely get me saying I want and crave them! I thought prices were pretty fair at 2.75 a piece. After much researchon what to eat in Austin this is one of the spots that I saved as a bookmark. While I was in Austin, a foodie friend on Instagram shared with me her list of recommendations since she just moved to Austin not too long ago. I knew that Ihad to stop by Cuantos Tacos, I mean how often do you see a Michelin BibGourmand taco truck. We came here for dinner but it was cold, sprinkling, anddark out. Tables they had were wet from the sprinkle.  My family only triedthe suadero taco ($2.75 per taco) but OMG it was the best thing we ate duringour trip in Austin. It was super memorable, the meat was soft and the salsaadded the perfect kick to it. It's been a month, my husband and I are still daydreamingabout these tacos.  Tacos are madepretty fast, we had to order tacos 3x since they were so good, we kept wantingmore. Wait time was super reasonable. Staff are nice and if I lived closer Ican see myself coming here every taco Tuesday! This definitely is a must go tospot if you like tacos.   Tips: *Small parking lot *Outdoor seating only *Credit card accepted *Porta Potty in theback (night time it is pretty dark and hard to see) *They cater. *You can also orderonline for pick up. Tips: Credit card and cash accepted. Outdoor seating option only. Restroom is port a potties. Located in an area with other food trucks.

I ordered 2 steak tacos and horchata, both very delicious. The horchata is milky and sweet but not crazy sweet, and topped off with cinnamon. The steak tacos came out pretty hot, fresh from the grill. I got them on corn tortillas and I'm glad I did: idk if they make them in house but somebody in some house is making these because they definitely aren't store bought, and if they are I want to know where! I tried the orange habanero and creamy serrano salsas. The habanero was spicy off the bat, while the serrano had more of a lingering burn. Both paired well with the steak. They have a little bar, too, though I did not imbibe this time. Seems like they have a decent selection of agave spirits, and even Campari behind the bar (iykyk).
