The food and experience was great! However there was a particularly rude manager. If I remember correctly his name was Santiago, I didn't appreciate the way he was talking to multiple of his employees and the people that ordered behind us. Very rude guy, should not be a manager. I had never tried Torchys until the other night when it was provided at a work function. It wasn't bad, but not anything to necessarily write home about. A coworker told me how Torchys has the BEST queso around.. my favorite queso is found on the east coast, but this girl is from the east coast as well and assured me that Torchys queso was better. Curiosity got the better of me, so I placed an online order on 6/25/20 and scheduled pickup 50 minutes in advance. My order was supposed to be ready at 5pm. I got there at 4:55pm and it wasn't ready--no problem I was early. At 5:15pm I still had no food and no one could explain what the issue was. Orders kept coming out the door, people coming and going, etc... my wait continued... Mind you, I only ordered chips and queso and these weird fried cookie dough dessert things, nothing elaborate. At 5:33pm my food was brought out and I was asked if chips and queso was all I had. The girl running the order station out front told him I had the dessert things too... she apologized, told me it would take about 30 seconds for them to cook and then they'd be out. Mind you, I'm an idiot for not checking the bag at this point because 10 min later she came to my car to tell me they were already in my bag! Wth? I had almost cancelled my order 3 different times while waiting but each time a line formed ahead of me so I changed my mind. Part of me thought, "hell, maybe it's worth the wait if everyone keeps trying to eat here..." Considering I ordered almost an hour in advance and it still took me about 45 min after my order was supposed to be ready to drive away, I would not recommend them for curbside pick up... I can't speak on the dining in experience and won't be trying it out anytime soon. I know things are crazy right now... times are strange, whatever... but that's ridiculous for some chips and queso, which for the record, was NOT the best around. It was better than some of the other chains, but again nothing to write home about. By the time I got home the dessert things were disgusting and didn't even come with the cherries as described/pictured. I spent $18 and some change for chips, queso, and 2 orders of fried "balls"... 3 bucks of which was a tip which I regret including. The girl out front did her best to de-escalate the situation, but I'm still beyond livid with my experience. I will NOT be ordering from Torchys EVER again. We had a great lunch of tacos with steak, chicken, and brisket. I recommend you Try a wide variety of tacos and most adults can eat 2-3 tacos pretty easily. We enjoyed a couple of margaritas (since on vacation) that were good but a little on the sweet side. Pro tip: you can add a floater of any of their tequilas for $1.50 so add something fancy. Went to this location for lunch 6-22-23, and was so impressed!!! First of all this is my wife's and my favorite restaurant but our first time at this location. She broke her ankle a couple weeks ago and needed a "pick me up" so we decided Torchy's was needed. She is in a wheelchair right now and it was super easy getting her in and the guy taking orders during lunch yesterday was absolutely awesome. He was so personable, had my wife laughing (which was so needed) and provided AMAZING service. As always the food is our favorite and not much could make us unhappy eating Torchy's but a huge shout out and thank you to the guy running the register for making our trip that much better (I forgot to get his name, and I feel bad, but don't let him go anywhere!). Excellent food for a great price! I was glad to hear that they were opening a Torchy's close to home. I have been there 5 or 6 times and enjoy every time. They were a little slow when it first opened but seem to be doing great now. I don't understand the bad reviews I have seen. I have never had a problem with the place. I was there the other night, got great service and the speed was fine. Ordered some chips and queso, went to pee, and it was at the table before I got back! Seems pretty fast to me. I had a young college student visiting from out of the country and knowing he liked Mexican Food we stopped on our way home from the Art Museum at the Broadway location. It was off from the beginning with a gentleman taking orders sitting behind the register with a plate of "something" that he was eating, then trying to find a table that wasn't grim and sticky and then our meal. My guest should have stuck with the tacos which weren't good, but better then his burrito which after one bite was left. It was a huge mass of stuff (we should have looked more closely) wrapped in a flour tortilla. I had been there before and it was good, but no more. This place NEEDS a MANAGER! Start in a line of at least 15 people, ONE male taking orders at one of three registers. Oops, phone rings, the ONLY person taking orders excuses himself to answer phone. After 2 or 3 minutes he goes looking for the manager...not to be found...explains on phone...goes back to taking orders after 11 minutes delay. All the tables are dirty so we go to the bar to eat. Food UNimpressive not worth any of the trouble. I don't have a problem eating at dives as long as they are CLEAN! Eating at the bar, we see the tattooed, gender confused looking manager ask the bartender "where is you waste basket"? She points near where we are sitting and the manager comes over and spits a loogie or chewing tabacco into the waste basket RIGHT IN FRONT OF US!! Abysmal interior: can't make up its mind what it wants to look like. Acoustics are terrible. Concept of locating your table by a device is gimmicky. Overpriced. The menu board above the cash registers is crowded with words, hard to read. I don't understand the popularity, but perhaps each store's interior is independently designed. First time reviewing This torchy 's . We have been here many times . Today was a disappointment . First off the cashier was disinterested. No eye contact or acknowledgement. That's never happened . I'm not sure if she was having a bad day . But she got our order wrong . Bummer . I watched my friend pick out her onions , which she requested no onions , and a very skimpy taco . First of all, people are ridiculous to complain about a restaurant opening up the FIRST day or even the first week. There WILL be kinks, no grand opening is going to be perfect or up to everyone's expectations so get over it. Torchys, with the amount of people that have shown up the first week, I thought you guys did great! Sorry people, coming from Austin, there will be a wait at Torchys due to its popularity. While I agree with some of the reviews that mention that the tacos are pricey and some of the employees could use an attitude adjustment, overall I really enjoy Torchy's. The fried avocado and trailer park tacos are both delicious and you can't go wrong with any of their salsas or queso. My husband is also a fan of their burritos. Their beers are reasonably priced and they do have a full bar which is pretty neat. It's a cool spot to hang out with friends after work and grab a bite to eat while enjoying a couple drinks. I appreciate that this place isn't super loud like some of the other trendy spots in town where you can't even hear the person sitting across from you. Went there for the first time with my husband and brothers (They are BIG fans) and I gotta say, I was impressed. Everything was clean, Everyone is super friendly, The food is GREAT and fresh. All their sodas are organic. My only downside (that wouldn't be a downside for others) is that almost everything has Cilantro in it or on it. (Im really allergic) So I had to be REALLY careful. But they were super sweet about it. (Most of their sauces and some of their food has it mixed in.) Elsewhere from that, AMAZING! Tacos are a little over $4 each. read more

I came here for dinner on a Friday night and even though it was busy, the food came out fast and hot! I was really impressed with the friendly service and the quality of the tacos. I would say, two tacos was more than enough for me! They are larger and come stuffed with all sorts of good stuff, so be prepared for that! Torcy's is pretty much the same at every location. The tacos are a bit pricy but absolutely delicious. I have tried many on the menu and never been disappointed. I actually tried a salad during our last trip and it was delicious too. The drinks again....pretty pricy but delicious. WARNING: Angry customer review. You know when you go out to eat and you specifically ask for something and they don't give it to you? Well that's was our experience at Torchy's Highlands Ranch. We ordered 4 Democrats (and some other stuff) and my wife specifically asked the guy to make sure they put avocado (like it says on the menu). She spoke in plain English, she doesn't have an accent or anything. The guy nodded and pushed some buttons on his order screen. Guess what happened - 0 out of 4 Democrat tacos had avocado! Of course we trusted Torchy's to get the order correct and we didn't check our to-go order until we got home (shame on us). To be fair the tacos were still very tasty but we love avocado and we specifically asked they make them to specification so we were still very frustrated especially after waiting in the long line. read more

I've eaten at Torchys since 2006 in Texas. The year I was pregnant all I ate for 9 months was 2 tacos a day, every single day, for a total of approximately $3,000 that one year, of the last 14 years I visited this company. Today they opened up and had the most inconsistent application of "masks" I've ever seen. I walked in without a mask and ordered/went to my Table with no mask. Then went back inside to ask a simple question and the blond skinny guy (believed to be named Andrew) refused to answer a simple question. He got all agitated and angry and proceeded to start yelling and acting out like a toddler. As I stood there and calmly said what is your issue he went full toddler. I doubt I'll ever spend a dime here again. I do not condone a grown man being a toddler and not being an adult who is respectful. You have no right to treat me like a problem when you're an overgrown toddler with anger issues. Farewell Torchy's it was a great 14 years of me giving you my hard earned money!!!!!!!!!
