I had a wonderful experience with Pacific Oral Surgery -- two, actually…read more 1) After crunching down too hard on a popcorn kernel, I complained to my dentist about lingering pain and was eventually referred to Dr. Bruckner. He did a deep-scan of the affected molars and determined that I had damaged something deep. He then sent the results back to my dentist, who arranged for me to have a root-canal. [On a separate note, that root-canal ended up being astoundingly painless.] 2) Years later I had a hole in the roof of my mouth that wouldn't stop bleeding. My dentist handles the teeth and gums, but not the palate, so she referred me again to Dr. Bruckner. Dr. Bruckner worked with me over several weeks and eventually did some kind of cut-and-cauterize-and-sew procedure that I don't actually understand. He certainly knows what he's doing, though, and he took care of me quite professionally and courteously from start to finish. Two things to note: A) The receptionist checking people in for their appointments was courteous, efficient, and accurate -- plus is absolutely gorgeous, as well. More importantly, she was especially careful to remind me (via text and phone call) before my appointments that... B) The office has moved from Erringer (near Patricia). It is now at 2655 First Street in the Executive Suites on Enchanted way, just north of Highway 118.

Dr. Bruckner is amazing. He pin points the issue and the surgery is extremely fast. I joked with my spouse that he is the Edward scissor hands of dentistry. His assistant Tanya is amazing. She always makes me feel so comfortable and taken care of. I have anxiety and she really calms my nerves. I recommend them to all my friends and family.

The paperwork is digital and they don't provide guest wifi and the AT&T signal there isn't great. You have to sign a waiver agreeing to their use of AI. They had me do X-rays then photographs. During the photo-taking portion, they had trouble getting the AI-camera to work for a few minutes. One of the technicians was typing at a computer and touching a mouse but would then would put his hands into my mouth without sanitizing. After, I was brought to a small room with a tablet to speak to a dentist remotely. (There was no dentist on-site.) He recommended an alignment and cleaning. Halfway through the meeting, an appointment-taking employee entered the Google Meet as well - which I thought was a bit weird. 5 minutes later when the doctor was done, he exited and the employee told me it would $3,000. I asked "is that for the alignment?" and she said "it includes the alignment..." I asked "what is the $3,000 for?" and she said it was for "everything [the dentist] went over." I get that she can't go into medical details - although she can sit in on the discussion? - but it felt a little like they were trying to obfuscate the prices/services a bit. I asked what the cost would be for /just/ the cleaning and she sent over an agreement - which took a few minutes to come through because of bad signal and no wifi - for me to sign, showing it would be $250 with my PPO insurance. I declined to sign as I my insurance covers cleaning and I can go elsewhere and not pay out of pocket. I am also not used to signing an agreement ahead of time with a dentist just to make an appointment for a cleaning. I ended up leaving and will not be returning. It is unfortunate, as a nearby Zak Dental was my childhood dental office many years ago.

I have been referred to SVP three times from my regular dentist and am always impressed by their…read moreprofessionalism, courtesy and expert work. While periodontic work is never painless, they do what they can to make it as comfortable, quick and stress-free as possible. The office staff are always honest and helpful. While I have had them forget things occasionally, like sending in a prescription, they're quick to own up to their mistake and correct it. I do have two minor complaints about this office though, which aren't deal killers. One is that they do not process all of your benefits for you. I have AFLAC Dental for supplemental coverage, and their office will not file those claims. They instead insist that I submit these myself. What makes this awkward is that AFLAC will often pay THEM instead of me, so I have to drive back in to get reimbursed. This has happened twice now, and it's inconvenient and a little annoying. Two is just a personal thing. Their office decor is weird, discomforting and a little bizarre. Huge cast figures in gold of human bodies on the wall. Black velour furniture. And dozens of blank white shelves filled with what looks like small round plastic fake plants. It's like being surrounded by an army of chia pets. It's not a warm, relaxing atmosphere, but it's a minor thing that doesn't reflect on their work at all. I'm sure there's a professional decorator in Simi who could fix this in a day or two. Other than that, they are a perfect 10...

The principal that they require to be notified for a cancellation within 24hours, yet they can't call a potential patient within the same timeframe makes no sense. I called my insurance twice to verify if a deductible applied they stated it did not. Called the office back spoke to Yesenia and she was very rude and condescending. Thank you for showing your true colors and assisting if avoiding a future conflict.
