This was my first time having chicken broth ramen and it was actually amazing. This is honestly a perfect meal to have when you're feeling a bit under the weather. Ambiance is very casual-- typical of any ramen counter. Service was fast. - Toribro mega: 100/10 (loved the rich chicken broth paired with the springy ramen noodles! The chashu on top was also super tasty.)

We love to visit Toribro when we come to NY and this was another standout visit! The gyo-za is a must have appetizer and we also got some sake to pair. Love the paitan ramen- I got the Mega and my husband got the Mega deluxe. I honestly think this is the best ramen broth that I've had- it's just so rich and delicious. And they are generous with their toppings. The decide was fast and we were seated quickly even though they were busy. Love this little spot (and definitely sit at the bar if you can). We will definitely be back!

Was in need of a quick dinner and so I walked around Hell's Kitchen for some ideas. Have not been back to Japan for several months now, and I think it was clear to me that Japanese ramen was on my mind! Once I entered the restaurant, I was quickly seated by the server and she told me to have a seat right at the bar. Before ordering, I kindly asked if they had a restroom, thank god they had one. Everything felt like I was right in Japan. The small size of the restroom, there were at least 10 seats available, and the chef you could watch while he prepared and cook your meal! Once I placed my order, my Gyoza was delivered within 5 minutes, another minute my KimChee was delivered. Last but not least was my bowl of ramen! Oh how this was perfect and I couldn't have asked for more. Other items on the menu l'd like to try on another visit, they also serve Beer but I wasn't in the mood for alcohol that evening. This would be a perfect spot for Happy Hour as their signage's shows that they have it M-F 12-6:30pm :-) For those who like to dine out with large groups, this may be a tough spot. If you like good Japanese ramen, this will hit the spot. Right in the middle of HK, it's a perfect place and the price is right. They do accept Tap, credit card and $.

Great service but small space -- we went mid afternoon and place was packed. Husband had the miso ramen and I had the tantan noodles. My food was spicy -- delicious. Husband enjoyed his bowl. I don't think the noodles here are that great, honestly, but the broth is pretty flavorful.

I'm honestly not sure how we first came across Toribro, but we find ourselves coming back every time we're in New York. It has that underground Japanese izakaya restaurant vibe, which I absolutely adore. The Toribro Deluxe Mega is a chicken paitan soup that is loaded with pork belly, chashu, fried garlic, garlic paste, egg, scallions, and nori. The soup consistency runs a bit thicker than most, which packs an incredibly umami depth of flavor. Super nourishing and hits all the right spots, especially if you go on a rainy day. Docking off 1 star due to wait times; it is a very small hole in the wall type of establishment so there isn't much seating to begin with. Their service also seems to follow a certain organized structure as well, as we tried to place our order right when we got seated but our server (who was the only waiter) told us we needed to wait as she went about tending to other tables for awhile before even setting down our water, etc. I'd say make sure you're not in a rush when you come here, but it is worth it.

Their prices seem lower but that's cause eggs and other toppings are add ons with additional costs. Flavors are solid and interior is cozy, with a counter friendly for solo diners. Doesnt stand out as there are so many ramen spots in Manhattan but solid if you're in the area!

Quaint little underground ramen shop. Not too busy at lunch, if you want to avoid a wait. Such great broth! Gyoza: A nice crispy lacey bottom. Love the crunch against the steamed topside. A perfect mix of textures and tastes. Toribro Deluxe Mega Ramen: Pork overload, in a good way! Pork like three different ways, all delicious. Set aside a right and cloudy pork broth. The noodles were nice and springy. A serious ramen contender in Hell's Kitchen.

Stumbled across Toribro and would recommend stopping by - but only order the ramen! My friend ordered the Toribro Deluxe Mega ramen, and this was definitely the star of the show. The homemade broth was delicious, not overly salty and was very flavorful. The meat fell apart and was tender, perfect for a large bowl of ramen! I ordered the Pork Chra Siu Mayo Don. The meat and made-in-house mayo were fantastic, but the dish overall felt too light and fell a bit short for me. I ordered the Salmon onigiri, as I was still hungry - But this also fell short for me; There was not a lot of filling and the onigiri rice felt too sticky and difficult to eat. Additional points for the service and space itself - Our waitress was very attentive and kind. They do a great job here of churning customers in and out to keep business moving, yet not making you feel rushed. The space is small and a walk down from the street, but you do not feel cramped while sitting there.

We got the gyoza and chicken ramen and added an egg. The gyoza was alright. It wasn't that flavorful or had enough fillings for me. The chicken broth was phenomenal! So hearty and unique (in nyc). It wasn't overly fatty, so I wasn't nauseous after eating it. I got the wavy noodles with mine and my partner got the straight noodles. As a person who prefers straight noodles, the wavy noodles were much better in this ramen. The wavy noodles were cooked perfectly Al dente with an eggy flavor. It's the best wavy noodles I've had. The egg was also cooked perfectly and well seasoned. Maybe next time I'll get the pork char siu since the chicken was a bit over cooked in some parts, but I didn't mind it! They get a 5 stars for how unique and delicious the chicken broth is. The chefs were speaking Japanese, so it's authentic!

This is my first time coming and try Toribro. One odlf my friend recommended this to us and she's not wrong! It's so good and so comforting. Service is really good. The waiter is so friendly and she helped us to open Ramune Overall we love this place!

This was an interesting ramen option since it was made with chicken broth. I had the Toribro Mega. With chicken broth, sometimes the broth can smell too "chickeny", for lack of a better word, as if the chicken is not fresh. This was not the case here, it was not overly greasy or too light. The bowl was filling. If pork is too heavy for you the broth here might be a good option.

A hidden gem we just discovered in our neighborhood! This cozy, authentic Japanese spot is tiny but full of charm. I like that they use chicken broth for most of their ramen. I ordered the Toribro deluxe mega ramen, and the broth was rich, flavorful, not too salty or overpowering. The noodles had a nice chew, though they were slightly more undercooked than I prefer. My boyfriend ordered the vegan option, truffle miso with vegetables, which was also delicious but a little salty. We also tried the seaweed salad which was fresh and delicious. The service was good--no complaints. The beer was served cold, just as it should be. We will definitely be back to try more of their menu options. Great find and definitely worth a visit.

I have a shrimp allergy and politely asked if the shrimp tempura could be substituted. The server immediately said no, without offering any alternative or showing much concern. He said I can remove it myself. I said so let the shrimp inside the bowl for me to remove? WTH. For a restaurant, especially one serving customizable ramen dishes, with a allergy list post on the wall by the counter where I sat at B1, a little flexibility or empathy toward food allergies would go a long way. The interaction felt dismissive and unwelcoming, which made the overall dining experience uncomfortable. Customer service matters just as much as the food, and sadly this visit fell short. The smashed cucumber was good. Spicy dumpling was good. Ramen broth was light, not as rich or flavorful as others. There are so many good ramen places in NYC, this Chinese Ramen place has lot of room to improve.

First of all, I LOVE the ambience and the paper lantern decor here. Took me right back to those neon streets. The staff are polite and patient; one of them even picked up my phone for me after I dropped it mid-meal. During my trip, I was converted to a soba-lover, and while I don't think this is true soba here, they have "abura soba", what they describe as a "soupless ramen" (with a thicker noodle) which I was drawn to. I got the basic one with chashu, and my, it was DELICIOUS! I was so entranced I caught myself wanting to slightly bow with an "Arigatougozaimasu" and a "Gochisousama desu" on the way out! The noodles and the saucy base were DELICIOUS. My friend found it a bit oily, but I love thicker, richer ramen bases so I savored it.
