Kin Ramen is one of our favorite spots whenever we're craving authentic Japanese ramen in NYC. The food is consistently delicious, the broths are rich and flavorful, and everything we've tried has been fresh and satisfying. The lively atmosphere adds to the experience and makes it a fun place to visit. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because we felt rushed to leave our table while we were still enjoying our drinks. What made it more disappointing was that we were dining with an elderly family member, and the staff continued to hurry us even though we weren't lingering excessively. A little more patience and consideration would have made the experience much more enjoyable. We would definitely come back for the amazing food, but we hope the service becomes a bit more accommodating so guests can fully enjoy their meal without feeling pressured to leave.

The food itself wasn't necessarily exceptional, but that is okay because their happy hour deal is really good value! We were able to order classic sushi rolls, refreshing not-too-strong drinks, and satisfying appetizers off their happy hour menu and it was a great experience. They also had nice matcha ice cream.

Pretty solid and affordable sushi! They expanded from the last time I've been and have an upstairs. I had the spicy tuna and salmon. I think I liked the salmon more. It's a dangerous place because you'll keep eating!

It was just okay! My friend ordered the salmon sushi and I'm not a salmon fan but for the price the salmon was good. However, I got an array of different sushi pieces and they were all just bleh okayyy, nothing was pre-sauced and although it did seem fairly fresh, nothing had my eyes rolling in the back of my head. Was disappointed that they were out of the green salad with ginger dressing because that's always the highlight of my meal so I ordered the the miso soup which was also just average. You can see the sushi chefs making sushi on the right hand side when you walk in which is nice and the tables are arranged in a decent manner where you have some room to breathe so overall- a nice average spot with fair prices for what you get.

Great value and quality in NYC for sushi! The lunch hours and happy hours have so many great deals- 6.50 for all rolls and lunch everything is under $18! Perfect for a quick meal. Service was prompt and attentive.

Zen Ramen was phenomenal and Cania was the most amazing server and consistently checked in on us and was so kind. I was so nervous to order and she was so patient and kind. Food was delicious and the place was so lively during lunch.

Best service ever. Best ramen ever. Hands down awesomeness! Will definitely be back on my next trip to NYC.

This place is very clean and delicious I wish I lived here, I would eat this everyday!! Stephanie was so sweet I loved her service!

Came for their happy hour sushi. The prices are decent for midtown prices for sushi. Got 3 rolls per person and an appetizer. Total per person was approximately $30, but the tip boxes on the check included tip based on the after tax amount. The staff weren't very good about refilling water. The upstairs seating area was pretty large, but it was pretty full with the happy hour deal.

Really solid ramen spot. The food was delicious and came out quickly. Great option if you want something tasty without a long wait. This is now my second time here, will come back again soon.

Great lunch spot with great prices. Had the bento box for lunch, comes with several sides with chicken on a bed of rice. Service was nice, kind, and quick. There was plenty of seating upstairs. There was quite a bit of a line for takes out and the seating was almost full. I would be careful coming at peak hours! Food tasted good, my only improvement I hoped was something made the shumai look less lonely. It kinda felt the bento box was too big or couldve used like garnish as space filler haha. But would still give this place a revist and recommendation

Found this place when we were out walking. We were cold and hungry and decided to try it on a whim and WOW! The noodles were delicious! Every bite was perfectly flavored and we all enjoyed what we ordered. The staff was very friendly and welcoming also and they answered ALL our questions very patiently! The place is cute and fairly large for a place in NYC. The atmosphere is pretty casual but it does lend itself to a nice romantic date option. I almost forgot to take pictures of the food as it smelled so yummy we just dug in and were hit with a flavor punch of deliciousness and warmth! We were all very glad we stumbled upon this place and left very warm a extremely satisfied with our experience! The food was brought out reasonably quick and the pricing was also reasonable. Definitely adding it to my noodle places to frequent when in NYC Midtown Manhattan.

My friend and I enjoyed our meals and would come back. The service was really friendly and quick. The ambiance was quiet, but fun. The restaurant was kinda hidden, but surprisingly was in a busy area! If you want to go to a place to chat and being able to hear them, this is the best place to do so. We are coming back. Thank you Zen Ramen & Sushi!

The bartender/server was friendly, attentive, and provided great service. Unfortunately, the ramen wasn't for me. We started with the pork belly appetizer which was recommended and stated on the menu indicating it's their featured dish. It was the biggest disappointment as it was extremely fatty with large chunks of fat, while the lean portions were dry. It didn't look very appetizing. The dumplings were just okay--they had decent flavor but I was hoping for a crispier texture. I ordered the Zebra Ramen. The noodles were cooked perfectly al dente, but the broth was much saltier than I would have preferred. The pat of butter felt unnecessary and made the broth overly rich without adding much depth. The chashu was on the small side and also quite fatty and I assume it's the same as the appetizer but was sliced instead of in large chunks. The marinated egg had good flavor, although the yolk was a little more cooked than I typically like. Another thing is the pork belly appetizer came with an egg. I wish the server would tell us so we didn't have to add it to our ramen with an extra charge. The nori was also completely soggy by the time it reached our table. Overall, the noodles were the only highlight of the meal and the rest were very underwhelming. It's definitely not a place I would recommend.

I ordered the Paitan Ramen Deluxe, and it genuinely lives up to the name. The broth is silky, rich, and comforting without being overly salty which is exactly what a proper paitan should be. The bowl comes loaded: tender shredded chicken, seared chashu, marinated soft-boiled eggs, fresh scallions, bamboo shoots, and a sheet of nori that ties everything together. Every topping tastes intentional, not just filler. The texture balance is what really stands out fatty chashu that melts, shredded chicken with real flavor, and noodles that hold up beautifully in the broth. You can taste the care in the soup base; it has depth, not just heat or salt. If you loved Totto Ramen back in the day, this feels like its modern successor same spirit, new precision.
