I drive by this place all the time, so today I decided to stop. There are many signs in reference to the Philly Cheese Steak, so I went right up and ordered it, even got the chili and cheese on my fries too. I must say, the cheese steak INSTANTLY fell apart. It was more of a Bowl than a Sandwich. I might recommend them using loaves instead of buns tho, it might hold all the yummy juices better. The Chili Cheese fries did however come in a bowl, and rightly so, they were great! It was tasty, and the service was very friendly. I wouldn't go so far as to say it's the best burger in Texas as it says on the front of the building (best is Gumbo Jeaux's) but it was actually ok. The "spicy" does have garlic and onion flavors on it and a few jalepeno bits grilled on it so it does not lack in flavor. Felt like the patty was a normal fast food type patty, just kicked up w/seasoning. It was a little greasy but that's ok it's a burger. You get a fair value of food-to-money ratio, though. My husband and I have come here a few times now and not only is the food good and consistent, so is the service! All the people that work here are so nice and helpful. They have fair prices and rather large portions. I have tried their philly cheese steak, but it's not nearly as good as their spicy burger! The flavors of the Spicy burger meat has a lot of depth and super tasty! They give a lot of choices for toppings too! I have tried their cheese fries, which is really good-they give a lot of cheese! I also have had their garlic parmesan fries and they are okay, but I like the cheese fries better. My husband loves their triple regular bacon cheeseburger. The cheesesteaks are as close to Philly as you can get in Houston. I would bring them back from Philly and then I can across this place. Meat is seasoned well and hot when you bring it home. Went in for lunch this afternoon. Arrived at 1:30pm - they must have just finished their lunch rush because the dining room was a disaster with practically every table dirty, trash cans were overflowing. Walked up to the counter and placed our order with PJ (name on receipt). Service was nonexistent, didn't greet us or even thank us for coming in. I ordered the single cheeseburger combo with fries & a drink. For the $5.95 price it was on point. Had the option of ordering the burger regular or spicy. I opted for regular since it was my first time going here. The burger was good but could use a little more flavor. The bun was too thick and dense - also not toasted. It stood up to the burger which was good but the ratio of meat to bun was off. The homemade fries were good but overcooked for my liking. Overall I probably would've rated a "3.5 star" but didn't have that option. Based on my visit today, not sure I will go back. read more

I had purchased a cheesesteak earlier in the day by going through the drive through. While in the drive thru they have a sign saying "come in to enjoy sports and food". I wanted to take my sons' out to watch game seven of the Astros vs. the Yankees so I came back that night with them. The food was good both times however in the 8th inning, two outs of the Astros game, they cut the TV off because they closed at 10pm. 15-20 minutes before the game ended. Really. So I suggest that they do not advertise the "sports" part because all games will not end before its time for them to go home. read more

Came here trying to support a local business yet this business doesn't seem to care about their customers. Sat in line for 20 or so mins to place my order and whoever was taking orders couldn't hear. Had to repeat my order more then 3 times, didn't even take my first order but took my second order and had to yet again repeat my 1st order. We get to the window to make sure that the order was correct again it wasn't, the girl at the window had me repeat my order again 3 times, if you can't memorize someone's order then you should be writing it down. Ending up leaving called and talk to a "manager" which was of no help and didn't even apologize, and this isn't the first time I've made a complaint and nothing has happen. Was told they would talk to the owner/gm whom over about it and never heard anything else from them. If your going to have a business small whatever the case your customers are who make you successful and you should value them which this place clearly doesn't. I'm on a quest to acquire the greatest philly cheesesteak in Houston and I just happened to pass the sign that said worlds greatest philly cheesesteak so I had to try it myself. Since then been well over 15 times since my school is down the street an I love it only thing is I feel there's not enough cheese in in so I cough up the extra dollar for double cheese when I go. Love the ambiance of the restaurant there's a full size 1960s VW beetle outside the inside is full of reviews customers take and put on there with pencil. Why do I like this place so much? Yes, it is a fast food burger. Not gourmet like BBB or Hubcap. They are, in my opinion, better than the above. Here is what I get. Double burger, spicy, dark grilled onions, tomato and special sauce (sort of like 1000 Island) Man, something about that combination is amazing. They had good fries too.
