We walked in at 5 minutes to 6 on a Thursday night. The place wasn't busy, one server on the floor; several at the bar. The music was pretty loud-I thought it was a club for a minute not a family restaurant. Nice and clean, we sat and waited. A few minutes later the sever took our drink order , then returned for our food order. The general manager stopped by the table. I ordered the AAA burger and my husband ordered the Booze burger, medium. When you see the pictures, I say they are more on the medium well side-not my favorite. I will be 100% transparent and honest. This place doesn't really have a good vegan option. They do have a portobello burger and a veggie burger (black bean, sweet potato, and other stuff). I tried the veggie burger once, and it was basically cardboard. That said, I don't really go there to eat, but I love going to this place. Every time I am in El Paso, I visit either on Tuesdays for $2 pints or Thursdays for $3 apps/pints/mules. They don't just have Moscow Mules, but have like 5-7 kinds of mules. I love every single mule I have ever drank here. I have been to multiple locations, most recently the one in Horizon City. The service was good. My brother ordered boneless chicken bites @ $.69 each... I think he liked his food alright... I thought it was a good deal. They also have the Buffalo chicken sandwich on special for $6 on Tues and the Toro burger for the same price on Wednesdays. read more

We went her today at about 3:00pm it was not busy but not empty either. The atmosphere was awesome; music was not too loud and the temperature was perfect. The seating was comfortable too options of booth, table, high table, bar and out door. There is also several TV's with different sporting channels on. Jerry the manager (maybe the owner?) came around while we were waiting for our food to talk to us and see how we're doing. He was so kind and even talked to us more about things to come. The waitress was also very kind and made sure everything was perfect. I ordered a kids meal sliders they were the perfect size hit me and were so tasty the meat tasted fresh and not frozen. It came with fries that were yummy too. My mom had the booze burger which was cooked just his she ordered (medium) it also cane with onion rings which was perfect. She said the sauce on the burger had a little kick. Additionally she had the peach lemonade (alcohol) she said it was very good. My brother had the AAA burger with buffalo meat. I placed a DoorDash order around 9:40pm for the Carnitas Burger, sweet potato fries, and a chocolate shake. On the app the burger stated that it would have the following: Angus beef, pork shredded Carntas, chile de arbol salsa, onion, avocado, double beet, applewood smoked bacon, swiss cheese, cheddar cheese, and crispy onions. Much to my disappointment the order didn't arrive until over an hr later, the shake was missing about a third in the cup, fries were cold and soggy, and the burger had the patty, carnitas, salsa, and 4 onions, that's it. I called the restaurant but it said it was already closed. If it was too late to take the order, I'd rather the order be declined than receive such a poorly put together order. I didn't eat any of the meal and will be taking it back tomorrow to ask for my money back. read more

I used to really like this place a lot but today they forced me to make myself throw up to avoid eppipen/911 call. I ordered and specifically said 'no blue cheese. Blue cheese is baaaaad. I am allergic to all molds. Blue cheese is a moldy cheese. Toro read the order because they wrote ' 'blue cheese is baaaad...on the box!!!)...but instead of making a fresh SALAD that they knowingly put the allergen into they picked out big pieces of blue cheese thinking I wouldn't know. Like I couldn't see the blue cheese or taste it when I ate? Who wants pictures? The burgers ordered well done that came medium. I had to finish cooking the take out food before I let my son eat it. I had the Meatball Marinara Mac and Cheese, the marinara sauce was extremely sour unlike what I remember from another Toro Burger location (my daughter a fan of marinara tasted it and her reaction was to spit it out immediately). So this was our third time giving this place a chance because based off our first experience a year ago; it was great! However, it's gone downhill since then. We decided to give it a shot tonight since it's up the road from us and we wanted to watch some Sunday Night football and have a few beers. You'd think sitting at the bar would get you decent service but that was not the case. There were maybe two other tables there while we were there and 3 waiters/waitresses. It took 15 minutes for someone to ask for our drink orders and then another 20 for them to put the football game on like we kindly asked. I try to be understanding but server after server passed by us and did not once ask if we had been helped until we finally had someone do so. On top of that, yes we were sitting at the bar but stacks of dirty glasses and trash built up right next to us and none of them bothered to clean it or move it out of the way until we were about to leave. Came with family for Saint Patrick's Day we were excited to try this place out. The receipt says our servers name was Liz. She was super rude and unprofessiona! never experienced something like this. She never came to check on us. Other servers were doing it for her. because she was gossiping with the other table. When she came to bring our food she smirked and slammed our food on table. The best and the greatest Angus burger! They are delicious we are from San Diego and every time we come to El Paso we visit El Toro Burger Bar - Can't come down to Texas and not have a Torito Burger. The onion rings are so delightful - the breading is unique and there are crispy to perfection! They are real I mean real onion rings! The sweet potato fries are also exquisite and they melt in your mouth my dad's favorite. For drinks: we love to have their best margaritas in town! Definitely not coming back. Came in Sunday morning 11am with my toddler and partner, Waitress was working alone so I understood the wait. She later told us to sit anywhere we wanted. Finally got our drink order in as more people came coming in. I noticed she took order from another table before ours. I normally don't care but they already had their mimosas and while we are sitting here waiting and my daughter after several minutes asked where our food was. So I went to tell the waitress if she can at least take my daughters order since we had been there before the other tables and they just got their orders taken.. she looks at me with an annoyed look and glances at the kitchen and says she is " very overwhelmed " I told her I understand your alone and it's finally getting busier BUT you took other people's order before us and I need you to at least take my daughters order in. Since we where here before all those other people. She again insisted she's "overwhelmed " i said I understand, but we were here before them and my Im just asking for my child's order to be put in first. She rolled her eyes and turned to finished using the computer. When she finally came to our table her demeanor was terrible I gave her my daughters order. I asked for their famous verde chilaquiles, flat out says we're out and turns to my boyfriend for his order. So my reason for coming in was for that and he said let's just go we will pay for the drinks and she just waved her hand as to not worry about it and walked away... I don't ever leave reviews on places but this deserved to be known I'm sorry she's having a shitty day and is overwhelmed by being understaffed but hell why did we mainly my daughter have to pay for that, while other people were treated better.?? I hope her day gets better or gets a better job. I know what it's like to work somewhere you hate but the people shouldn't have to take the heat. Went in on Saturday evening, was instantly greeted HUGE PLUS! Took a seat at the bar, bartender was friendly, had a couple of beers, then had the Toro Tots and they were AWESOME specially after the beers.. Bathrooms are clean. The space is super nice. Beer was cold. Music isnt too loud. I like the vibe and environment they got in there. Will be back soon! read more
