There are many choices for Optometry and they are all probably professional and reputable. There is only one Torrance Optometry with amazing Optometrist and staff. However, there is only one Dr. Debra Alexander who is in my opinion among the top persons in her field. Her commitment to her patients does not stop within her office walls. She extends and shares her knowledge with her patients and other professionals that she networks with for total vision care. I was very fortunate to have her with early detection of issues effecting my sight. With early intervention and recommended follow up with specific ophthalmologist for subsequent care and correction, I enjoy restored vision. The staff and specialist at Torrance Optometry are eager to please and highly courteous. Charlotte, is a valuable asset who can be trusted in assisting patients in getting the best choice in vision ware (eyeglasses) with the best value and use. I wouldn't go anywhere else. I have always had special needs in eyeglasses/ prescriptions. When my old optometrist retired I was reluctant to try anyone new. I was given Dr Yu and his office as a reference and after giving them a try I have been with them for 25 years! the staff is always friendly and personal yet professional as well as the Drs . I have always worked with Dr Yu and he alway shows personal concern for myself and my visual needs. He understands what my eyes need and always encourages trying new things . Also I have never been disappointed because they listen to what I have to say and work to solve any problem. Our place to visit to have fun. The only Doctor we look forward to seeing is Doctor Dat T. Do. Always a pleasant person to talk to. My family and I feel good after our yearly visit at Torrance Optometry. The staff are amazing as well esp Norma, she feels like family to us. We should call her Tia Norma and Doc Do Tio Dat or maybe Tito Do. I wish eye check up is quarterly so we get to visit and have fun with them more often. And by the way, Norma is the best!!! Dr. Jae Yu has been taking care of me and my family for several years now, and makes sure he explains thoroughly all the details of the exam. Very convenient to schedule our appointments. All the staff are accommodating and very professional, especially Ms. Norma, the Office Manager. They also have a wide variety of eyeglasses and sunglasses to choose from. They can even order for us if we find something that is not available in their stock. During my last visit, they allowed me to use my old Rayban frame that I haven't used for a long time (which is still good), and just updated my lenses. read more

My eye Dr of 45 yrs. retired and I was dreading finding another I felt comfortable with... not to mention not interested in long drive to San Pedro any more. Torrance Optometry is one of the most loving optometry offices in Torrance. They are always going out of there way to comfort you. The only thing that makes me flinch is the puffy air contraption.
