Can't comment on all the lines. But on the ones I do take. They're seldom on time. Mostly missing on weekends.

There are always a couple of racist drivers that spoils the ride. Otherwise, I really like several of the drivers I usually encounter.

It would be nice if Route 3 had better smelling buses. They are musty, stuffy and hardly ever have the air on.

Welcome to Harbor Gateway Transit Center…read more Located in that city I was born in, Gardena. Truly was not sure where I was, but it's a across from a Home Depot, no lights or real intersection, but a super hub for the LA Metro bus system, including the J Line (aka Silver). Just off the 110 Freeway, by the 91 and nearby the 405 on 182nd Street. I was pleasantly surprised to see they layout here. Easy to navigate, plenty of signs and like a lot of others have mentioned efficient. Times for frequency on weekends are the worst. It was giving, " All he cares about is school and his mom and his friends (and work)." Does the LA Metro not realize people like to enjoy the weekend also after a long hard week? Thankfully I wasn't going to much further from here and caught a ride over to Redondo Beach. The area is a little rough around the edges, but pretty updated and cleaned up where it counts. Definitely should be some safer walking and crossing areas, outside the Transit Center. Public restrooms are available. Parking is also available if commuting with roughly 1,000 spots. LA Metro workers often around and visible. Great way to get to events, work and functions. Hope times, frequencies and connections improve in the future. You can't predict traffic, incidents or human circumstances, but you (LA Metro) can plan better for transfers and smoother rides from point A to B on their end.

I attend 10 to 15 LA Kings games every hockey season. I take the Silver, J Line, bus from the…read moretransit center to Crypto Arena downtown. It is easy, safe, and convenient. On weekday afternoons, there is a bus every 5 minutes. On weekends, they run every 15. We arrive back to the transit center after 10 pm at times and I never feel unsafe. A ride home if I have had a couple drinks is way cheaper than parking Downtown. It is also a quick bus ride to BMO Stadium and the Coliseum.

Metro K Line to LAX (Redondo Beach)…read more This line has changed from a straight shot to or from Redondo Beach to Norwalk. Now you must hop on and off the K LINE and exit the LAX drop off just to connect to the green line. It's frustrating but it must be done to get on the green line. Overall, this train is ok compared to the blue and red line. Warning, you will encounter all types of people that are crazy, deranged, violent, smelly, loud, strange, weird etc.. You name it. Overall, it's a solid line for commuting from Point A-B. It's safe pertaining to engineering and train conductors. The people inside determines your experience. Ride at your own risk. This is probably the most convenient way to go to LAX from Redondo Beach.

Big LA Metro Nostalgia - I remember being a kid when this station was built not to far from my late…read moreGrandma's place in Redondo Beach, the summer of 95'. Maybe Cruel Summer by Bananarama was playing on my walkman, and/or some Fantasy by Mariah Carey... just maybe. This station still has easy parking (free) and connection access to local city Metro services, also smooth access for ride share. There isn't much directly next to Redondo Beach Station, but it's a very short commute to the Best Buys of my youth, Lawndale High where many old friends attended, local city parks, eateries, Manhattan Beach and a elevated dive bar I like, Artesia Bar. Stairs, escalator and elevator access available as this is an high above ground station, similar to Expo/Sepulveda Station, if you know it. TAP kiosk for balance, refill and purchasing of LA Metro Tap cards, though you can also download and use the TAP app with a digital card. It's the last stop on the K Line if traveling on the Pink train from Expo/Crenshaw, or the first if commuting. I'm not on this side of town or the MTA too often, but when I am, I definitely don't mind boarding or exiting at Redondo Beach Station.
