I just had the most wonderful experience at this studio last night! I've been wanting to check out Torrent Cycle for a while now, and finally took advantage of their 2 classes for $20 newbie deal to check out their downtown location. I signed up for their 6pm class with Danielle. Earlier in the afternoon I got a phone call from an unknown number and it was Torrent Cycle calling to welcome me to the studio and tell me how to access their free parking behind their building - it was so kind! Such a great, welcoming, personalized way to set the studio apart from other studios I've been to. I felt so welcomed! The ride room is wonderful! It was large enough to give each rider enough space, but small enough to feel intimate. Danielle's energy was AMAZING. I'm looking forward to taking another class with her. I haven't taken a spin class in quite a few months now and this class absolutely destroyed me. Thanks for the kick in the booty, Danielle! The interior of the studio is super clean and nice. They have lockers for your things and a space to change into your shoes. Their bathrooms are HUGE and have showers, blow dryers, straighteners, hair ties, tampons in every stall - pretty much everything you could think of that you would need if you needed to head to work or elsewhere after a class. They also have shoes free of charge if you need them (I don't think I've seen a free shoe rental at any studio I've been to?) It has been awhile since I've taken a class here! I remember coming when it first opened and I really enjoyed it! Came here for a class yesterday and OMG this place has grown so much! The classes has always been super packed and filled with energy! This time it was all that AND MORE!! Love the energy and the people they are extremely friendly! You can definitely tell it's a friendly environment where it's really welcoming! Love the bathrooms! They are big and always clean! They have products that you can use if you need to and have forgotten things! Dans playlist was amazing! I honestly can't say enough about this place. I had been following torrent on Instagram for few weeks now and debating on taking advantage of their starter pack (2 classes for $20) dollars. It took me forever to actually get here but my only regret is that I didn't take advantage of that deal sooner! I've been to many different types of spin classes and Mikes class was definitely at the top of my list. The choreography was easy to follow but still such a good variety of moves and left me out of breathe in the best way! Torrent itself is such a fun, cute and inviting studio and has some of the nicest equipment. Cleanliness and the overall vibe is so important to me when finding somewhere I feel comfortable working out in and this place exceeded all expectations. I love love love this place. It was my first time but thanks to the instructors and staff, it definitely won't be my last because I couldn't walk out of the door without investing in a class punch pass and I'm already stoked to go back! read more

About a year and a half ago, I went to Torrent for the first time. Little did I know that that a Hip-hop Thursday ride with Dan would change my life forever. First, the owners and community - Dan and Mike have built this studio from the bottom of their hearts, and it shows. They, along with the other instructors and folks working at the front desk have the best dispositions and are always so friendly and happy to help when needed. Even during COVID times, they are going above and beyond to take care of their riders - both mentally and physically. This studio and all the riders truly become part of the "Torrent Family" as I like to call it. When you walk through those doors, you know you have found a second home. The studio itself is BEYOND amazing. It's clean, bright, and feels like you're walking in to a high end studio in NYC. I wish my bathrooms at home were as nice as the ones that they have in their studio. Again - spotless, and they are stocked with amenities like shampoo, face and body soap, lotion, dry shampoo, etc. Right now with COVID, these are not available for safety reasons, but I look forward to the day I get to once again use their facilities. Their bikes are top of the line and if you don't have shoes, you can get a pair for free from the front desk. Once in the studio, be ready to listen (and dance and sing) to some MUSIC. The sound engineering in that room is insane and it makes for an amazing (and very energetic) ride. Another thing Dan and Mike have done so well is to make sure that all of their instructors are the best that they can be, and it shows. Seasoned instructors, or ones that are new to the podium all come to class ready to lead their riders with an amazing energy, well executed choreography, and arm series that make your shoulders feel like they're on fire. I found myself at this studio. It's therapy, friendship and fitness wrapped into one. I am so lucky to have found it, and hope that others come and see the magic of Torrent! read more

If you want to be semi-healthy and love to eat out as much as I do, working out is a must. I decided to be a productive human being, woke up at 5 am and joined Torrent Cycle at 6 am for a cycling class on Tuesday. First off, the studio is beautiful! It's bright & clean. The staff are friendly and welcoming, the lockers are nice.. spacious and free. I got my free shoe rental and entered the room. The studio is large, the instructor was upbeat, positive and ready to make you work out and start your day off in the right foot. I was seat number 1 and from my view the layout is a bit weird, the instructors bike is across the room facing you but it's not centered. Also the bikes are close so if you want to participate in the arm workout session you'll have to face the side to not hit the person next to you. Pros: The bathroom is the best I've ever seen at any studio/gym. There's separate showers with doors, access to free towels, hairsprays, shampoos, conditioners, body wash, face wash, hair ties, straighteners, hair dryers & disposable shavers. read more

Torrent Cycle is always jam packed whenever I'm there for evening classes or mornings on the weekends. They offer their own memberships, but are also available to book on ClassPass and Freeplay. However, I do not like that they are listed as "instant book" on freeplay, which should mean that I'm guaranteed a spot, but I have ended up being waitlisted several times. Because the classes fill up, there is definitely a sense of community and it's super motivational to be working out with a lot of people. However, it gets crowded in the locker room area and since the bikes are very close together in the studio, you will need to turn your body while doing the arm exercises. I've also noticed that some of the handlebars on their bikes don't stay locked and become loose after doing push-ups/tap backs. I do like that they have parking and offer free shoe rentals though! read more

God. I hate exercise. Truly. It's kind of miserable. At least at first...or at least it always used to be when I tried to get back on the health-saddle. Until Torrent Cycle. Now I look forward to the next time I get to hop on that saddle - literally. I have tried every single spin studio in the Salt Lake Valley** and honestly? I can confidently say Torrent is second to none. The spin instructors are so enthusiastic and welcoming. Mike is always so incredibly kind and I've asked him for help a few times and he's always given me his time. No other studio has that kind of service nor do they have even slightly close to the attention to detail that Torrent has. I am serious - they have gum at the front desk because yes, your mouth can get a bit dry when working out sometimes. The lockers are big and clean. They have, occasionally, provided coffee in the very early morning... AND!!! It's one of the rare studios in town with multiple showers unlike other studios with just one shower and is always fully stocked with shampoo/conditioner, etc. I haven't even covered the actual classes either. Mariah vs Whitney, Sunday detoxes, holiday themed rides PLUS the energy of the instructors coupled with the lights?! It's... an Experience™. Basically, Torrent45 is the Beyonce of spin studios. ** I actually missed Torrent45 when I went to the spin classes at Equinox out of state for a week, which is owned by the same guy who owns SoulCycle. SO! It's safe to say, Torrent rivals some of the best fitness centers across the board. read more

Torrent 45 makes it incredibly hard to stay away! If you haven't yet tried their classes, they have an intro package, two for twenty on their website. Many of their classes are themed, their facilities are new and posh, and I've loved every instructor's class I've ever taken. The facility is located in the heart of downtown with a convenient parking lot in the back. They have amazing showers and amenities if you have to jet to brunch or work afterwards. Their studio has enough bikes where you feel the energy of people riding next to you. Their choreography is my favorite part of Torrent. Where most spin studios repeat songs or moves, torrent mixes it up just enough to keep you on your toes. Lastly, Torrent works to build community in an admirable way. Mike and Dan, the owners, are so friendly. They also partner with local establishments to connect their patrons as well as donate proceeds to worthy causes. CHECK THEM OUT! read more

Living in SLC and working in LA, I spend my weeks commuting back and forth, and when I'm in LA--I can't wait to get back to this place. As an avid cyclist and spin enthusiast, Torrent is hands down not only one of the best studio's I've ever experienced, the instructors are cream of the crop. Im telling you, these guys get it. While i generally do most of my cycling outdoors, Torrent is now my go-to when I'm in a time crunch or when I'm just not feeling motivated enough to do dreadful intervals on my own. Considering the instructor and music selection can make or break a spin class, every class I've taken from here has nailed it 10/10. While Torrent classes have you leave feeling like you just earned everything you worked for, the instructors also make it a priority to have you leave class feeling a bit more enlightened than when you walked in. In the past, I've gone to cycling classes with the mentality of, "You're going to hate it but then you'll be happy about it." I've never really had a good time during an indoor cyc class but would occasionally drag myself to them anyway. At Torrent, it was the first time I actually had a good time during a cycling class! Their attention to detail, form, guidance, and motivation makes the difference. The pacing of the class is on par too. Also, their facilities to show and get ready are incredibly clean! I'm such a germ freak but always felt comfortable given the cleanliness of their space. Overall, I've really enjoyed the classes, awesome music, facility, and instructors. I've tried so many different spin classes from Soul to Flywheel and this place is easily in my top 5 ever and for sure best in Utah. I took my first class today with Dan - the 60 minute detox where the temperature of the room is turned up to 75 degrees. It was a completely packed class with great music and great energy. He was very motivational and really pushed the class with a combination choreography and sprints. Everyones vibe was so positive and supportive and I left feeling completely refreshed. The facility reminds me of Soul Cycle - they even carry the same products from Malin Goetz which i LOVE. The starter pack is 2 for $20 and an amazing deal for the quality of the ride and the facility. I highly recommend it, you won't regret it! read more

The one thing I hate about Torrent Cycle is the it's so far away from my house....a 45 minute ish drive. I really hope they open a second location in Weber or Davis county. The environment is very inviting, cool, and extremely clean. They have every amenity that you can think of and more! The cycle shoe rental is free which is so nice! I try to come to a class at least once a month but would go multiple times a week if it was closer to me. The instructors are top notch. If you have been to Soul Cycle, this is better. I've only done one theme ride which was Justin Bieber and even though I'm not really into him, it was so so much fun! My favorite class is the Sunday detox where the room is heated to around 75-78 degrees, it's such a good workout!!! read more

It's super chic, conveniently located, trendy with the beats (would love more hip hop options at night though), clean, modern, and all that you expect from a fabulous spin studio. BUT, my favorite part is the positive energy the studio exudes largely due to the owners, a stunning couple [heart eye emojis]! Who doesn't love supporting an LGBTQ-friendly business and a beautiful love story. :) I love the gorgeous smiles and positive energy they exude as you enter and leave the studio. It's the cherry on top of a fabulous exercise of releasing all those negative toxins. Sunday detox 60-min rides are one of my favorites! Class is never boring- the instructors are upbeat and motivational, each class has a message about loving yourself and one another. They have fun theme rides throughout the week featuring specific artists or genres, even the muical Hamilton! It doesn't matter if you haven't seen in inside of a gym in a day or a decade, you will be warmly welcomed by the staff with the message that you belong. Their facility is top-notch with great showers and bath products if you need a post-sweat session scrub-down. Go take a class there- you won't regret it! Took Dan's class. He taught an easy to follow simple 45 minute rhythm ride. He had great EDM and popular music. The riders were advanced to beginner. They have the stage bikes. He did not use the gear/lever but he use a wide variety of cycle techniques to keep the class interesting. I loved that he was a fan of resistance but still gave us songs to lighten up and use speed. I was impressed that he had a stsong that was a 90-95 RPM with jumps; a pleasure to have that challenge. He had a good vibe and message throughout class. I would take him again to see what else he has up his sleeve. Beautiful studio, all you would want and more! read more

I have been spinning at Torrent Cycle for several months. This place is what makes Utah and Salt Lake City the best and only place to live. Mike and Dan are both awesome! I love spinning with them and all the instructors. Fiona, Amy, Claire, Dana, and now Kim and Danielle. Each is unique and offer a different style to the theme. Some mornings it takes all I have to get there in time for my 7am but I am always glad I did. Dan and Mike, their beauty and happiness is all I need to Rise Above and become more than I am. I first stepped into TorrentCycle just over a year ago.  I was going through some tough stuff in my life and it was the additional therapy I needed to get through the hard times - mentally, emotionally and physically.  Mike and Dan have created something very special at Torrent.  The moment I walk in, I feel welcomed home.  All the instructors are so great that I want to be best friends with each of them. They are all so motivating and inspiring.  They are some of the nicest people I've ever met.  Whenever I feel down, discouraged, stressed, or unhappy for whatever reason, I know that I can join a class at Torrent and leave with a whole new attitude.  I like this place so much that I tattoo'd the logo on my arm.
