I had my Tesla model X car in the shop with my Tesla insurance. I was concerned as there was no action or updates for first 10 days but it was normal procedure for them to tear down my car and also get payment from my insurance company. After 10 days when all formalities were completed by them my car was ready just in 4 days with live updates over the tests. The work done was amazing and with full satisfaction.

HOWEVER now Crash Champions took over and their customer service is garbage. I paid $21.00 to take an Uber trip from my home, all the way to their location in Fremont, with the understanding that I was to pick my wife's car up. Once I get there, the lady doing the paperwork states "Your insurance sent you a check". FACT - they never did, we've never used that option, we specifically filed the claim with the insurance (USAA) to pay the shop directly. Thus since THEIR paperwork reflected inaccuracy / a mistake, they refused to turn my car over to me. I made it clear to them that I'd taken an Uber all the way over there with the expectation to retrieve our vehicle. I offered to pay the deductible, which clearly I am responsible for. They still refused to turn my vehicle over to me. I explained that this is clearly an administrative issue between them & my insurance. The two staff members essentially just tried to speak over me, refused to listen & kept repeatedly saying "just take a seat and wait". Then they changed their story when I said "If you knew this was an issue, why didn't you tell me in advance? Why am I finding out NOW after taking a $21.00 / 20 minute Uber trip?" The staff then back peddled and said "well we only found out about this two minutes ago". Ok why the hell didn't you tell me "two minutes ago" and HOW or WHY can you people not determine, IN ADVANCE, if this "USAA sent you a check" (which they did not) issue BEFORE I came all the way over there. Incredibly lackluster customer service. I will be registering a complaint with USAA. This body shop made THEIR administrative oversight MY problem. They made THEIR issue with the insurance carrier MY problem. They made me spend $40+ in pointless Uber trips back & forth. Whereas, if they weren't disorganized & unprepared, they could've identified this issue AHEAD of time & perhaps called me... They could've asked me "Did your insurance send you a check?" Then, they could call the insurance carrier & get the issue resolved BEFORE I went all the way over there, just to be told that they'd be essentially holding my car hostage until they got paid by the insurance (which is THEIR responsibility, not mine). They had an opportunity to practice customer service & they failed, they utterly failed. Do not bring your vehicle to this place, they fail at basic administrative tasks... Which now makes me question if they half-assed the labor on my vehicle as well. Won't be returning. Will be making sure USAA insurance knows about this problem.

With his skills and experience, Anil - the shop onwer, told me that he could fix it. Evenutally, he did. The repairing involved a lof of wiring and many module replacements. My X3 was repaired to my total satisfaction. Anil's work is very professional, high quality and more importantly at very reasonable charge.

I been driving to work back and forth over 80 miles a day and hearing some clunking, the first day i got my car back i noticed it ..but thought to myself maybe the bushings just need to settle in... But as days went by the clunking only got worse and louder. Turns out the trailing arm bolts were completely loose .. i got under the car yesterday to check because i got suspicious.. and there it was bolts almost completely off. I was able to take the nut off by hand. I hate it that specially now a days when you pay for a service by "pros" you have to check the work. I paid cash first, but he kept delaying my repair because he said they had another customer. I needed my car the same day. Am I not a customer too? The mechanic noticed my radiator hose was loose, but instead of installing a new clamp, he just pushed the hose back. I didn't trust it, so I adjusted the clamp myself to make sure the hose wouldn't come off. He also pointed to the pink fluid under my car and told me it was a Freon leak. That made no sense. Freon is not pink--the fluid was ATF. On a high-mileage car, a small ATF leak is not unusual. It made me question whether he was trying to sell me an unnecessary A/C repair. The mechanic also kicked my car's splash shield onto the floor. It showed no respect for my car.

Browsed yelp and Autotek seemed worth checking out. Was set up pretty quick and brought my car in for an oil change. The spot is located in a quiet industrial lot across from a lawned public park, and coincidentally unbeknownst to me.. I had thought the lot looked familiar when I drove in because Autotek is neighbors with where I get my smog checks. I think my car has found its family . Got to meet Peter, the manager. He was very cool and cordial. He's got jokes too. Pricing is about what you'd find anywhere else nearby--the oil is good. Service was as clean and quick as expected of professionals. About a week later, I even received a thank you card from Autotek. Super service! PS. I didn't get to meet the dog in the photos though. Hopefully next time.
