We brought our car in after they promised a quick repair. Instead, they only ran a diagnostic, quoted an outrageously high price, and told us the job wouldn't be done anytime soon. Their attitude was extremely rude -- they flat-out said, "If you don't like it, pay for the diagnostic and take your car somewhere else." Of course, we found a different shop where responsible professionals fixed everything quickly and for a fair price. I wanted to try ASAP Auto for an oil change. My usual shop nearby charged more money for "oil services", and I just wanted a basic oil change. Comparing on price alone with my usual shop, I thought ASAP offered better value. The Honda Dealership, with a coupon, was slightly cheaper than everyone. I dropped off my vehicle early in the morning. They told me to expect the car to be ready after lunch. Late in the afternoon, I call them asking if it's done yet, and they said they're about to start. When I pulled up my dash cam video, I saw they started the car a minute after I called. They quickly changed the oil and called me to pick it up. It felt like they forgot about my work order and only started working on it after I called them. When I go to pick up my car, they tell me I need a specific repair on my engine. I've taken my vehicle to at least 2 other shops after my oil change (one independent, and one at the dealership). The independent shop said it was fine and the dealership didn't mention it (though they did mention a lot of other work that I think might be unnecessary). The dealership always recommends a lot of work and I believe they would have said something if it was anything close to a problem. I was disappointed in their speed of the service, and I was disappointed in their recommendation for a repair that was not corroborated by other shops. It never hurts to get a second opinion. Would I go back to ASAP auto for an oil change? Maybe. The location is convenient for me and the price is fair. read more

I was able to get my car in and out same day! Just in time before I had big problem my engine mount was barely hanging onto my engine, they showed me it and all I can say was thank God they were available to have the parts my car needed. I paid half of what I would've paid at the dealership. They were friendly and completely transparent. I also had my brakes fixed that was the main reason I went in because I was driving on metal! Revising my review as ASAP didn't even show me a diagnostic report. Told me it was bad spark plugs. Showed me 4 bad spark plugs. And said they didn't have the rest of the plugs to install. But yet I got charged the cost of the diagnosis and the cost to replace 4 plugs. Which I'm not even sure they did as my plugs looked the same as before . . $200 more dollars for basically nothing. . read more

These guys are the worst ever. They just want your money. I caution not to go there for any service. I went for electrical issues on my car. Ron said the diagnostics cost 185$. And after diagnostics, he said to change the alternator for 830$ which i agreed. And then Ron said alternator did not resolve the issue, so he put the old alternator back. He said he needs more time to diagonize. But he wants to be paid for the alternator labor charges of 400$ before diagonize more. I agreed to pay only 185$ for the initial diagnostics. How can i pay for the alternator service which did not fix the issue and put the old alternator back. Then he said he cannot work on my car if I don't pay him the alternator labor charge for 400$ + 185$ which is a total ripper. Never ever go there. Worst and worst service. read more

Been coming here for a couple years, first time I came to them I had a bad water pump which they fixed perfectly and I never had any issues after but then I took my car to them for shocks and struts and paid around 1500 for the front shocks and struts picked up the car and it felt good but the next couple days they started making squeaky noises and it got so bad it started sounding like it had little to no lubrication so I bought the spray lubrication and sprayed it inside the strut and the noise would go away until that spray dried up so after going back and forth they finally agreed to take a look at it again and they ended up saying the struts were bad but I still had warranty so they switched them out. Now I'm getting a really loud popping noise when turning the steering wheel in either direction and thought it was maybe a bad cv joint or ball joints cuz in my head I'm like no way did they mess up twice. Asked for a quote for the ball joints and cv axle and was never given a quote. Went to another shop nearby and got them replaced and the noise is still there so I had the mechanic look it over and he said it's definitely the struts making the noise, like they didn't install them correctly and now they move slightly causing the popping or binding noise. That mechanic advised me to try to take it back to them to fix it before he fixes it. Ron texted me the other day asking how the cars doing because he will text from time to time letting me know he has openings if I need anything done and I let him know I'm still having issues with these struts and would like to bring it back in and never got a response back. My guess is they don't want to correct their work so no longer bringing my car here nor would i recommend to anyone. read more

Wish there was a 0 star option. Bought a new car from Sacramento and it perfectly made a 2 hr drive with no issues other than the power steering issue that I already knew about. After that I took it to ASAP for a full inspection which they did and said they would fix it and do the full inspection for almost 2k. A DAY after it came out of their shop the engine seized up and blew with the car giving engine oil warnings after it was too late. ASAP refused to take ANY accountability and tried to charge me $500 more for an inspection after the engine blew which I assumed would be free given that the car had just been in their shop. They tried to cover up their negligence by saying the car was modified and not running properly but mentioned no issues when they took my $1800. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! Ruined my car and said if I didn't have 8k to "get my car out of their shop". No accountability. TERRIBLE service from Ron (the owner), to Noe the front desk guy, and to the technician who ruined my car. My family has been going here for over 20 yrs but it definitely won't be another 20. read more

Not only did these guys break my horn cap/button and act like it was no big deal, but they also broke my passenger window lever and didn't even tell me until I did a walk around and questioned them about it. I know my car wasn't a show room car but if these guys would at least treat other peoples property with respect and not hide damages that did on accident maybe I'd have more respect for them and continue to use their services or recommend them. Over priced for half done work that took twice as long. Good news is that I finally found a shop that actually did all the work I needed and in a timely manner! I suspected I had transmission issues on my Chevy but the mechanics were able to correctly diagnose the problem (the issue was not with the transmission) and gave me repair options without upselling me for no reason. The problems they found on my Honda (which I was unaware of) were still in line with the car's behavior and overall I felt the shop was quite honest and reasonable even with the unexpected problems. Though I do most maintenance repairs and maintenance myself, sometimes "stuff" happens when a AAA tow to the nearest shop is the only safe choice. Me and a friend of mine were on the way to Pittsburg on Presidents' Day, of all days! I was driving on 680 when I heard a loud grinding noise as I was applying the brakes. Turns out a bolt on the rear brake caliper managed to worm itself loose and the caliper wedged itself against the inside of the wheel! Ended up calling a tow and picked this shop from a AAA suggested list as the closest one. It was already past 3pm, and far too late to go to Pick'n'pull this their lame winter hours. I explained the problem over the phone and was pretty much told to get there as soon as possible. Once the car got put on a lift, we found there was no damage. It took a bit of time to find another bolt, but once the tech there found one that fit, we were back on the road. Bruised, but not beaten! read more

Serviced my 1993 Ford Ranger (engine oil & filter change, lube ball joints and driveshaft joints, brake fluid flush). I discovered engine oil overfilled by about 2/3 quart. ASAP promptly siphoned off the overfill. I spoke to the mechanic pointing out dipstick fill indicator (noting how it can be easily misread) and emphasized I wasn't interested in assigning blame, reassuring by noting my similar auto maintenance mistakes. Our car had the catalytic converter stolen. ASAP was great as I had the car towed to their shop the following day. They worked with our insurance provider and did all the paperwork they required. Once approved, they ordered the parts but, unfortunately, the parts were delayed due to demand and delivery issues. ASAP stored our car inside the shop until the new CAT was received. Once it came in (almost 2 weeks), ASAP made the repairs the same day. They also installed a customized CAT shield to discourage a repeat theft. We're glad we found ASAP for our automotive needs. Honest, professional work. I have had my auto maintenance performed here for nearly five years now. The first time I brought my latest vehicle in, there was a problem with the lug nuts staying put on the wheels after the tire rotation--I called the same day of the problem, and the shop stayed open later than their usual hours to make sure that not only the lug nuts stayed in place, but also replaced the parts in question without extra charge. When I owned my 2008 Isuzu Rodeo, I brought my car in to have the brakes changed out. After inspecting the vehicle, Ron (owner) asked me if I was having a problem with the brakes. I said, "No. I figured I needed new brakes at 60,000 miles. Ron told me that the brakes were very good and that I could go another 30,000 miles with the current brakes. What honesty. Some other shop would have just changed the brakes and charged me for it just to make some money. ASAP Auto is an honest, knowledgeable and trustworthy repair shop. When I purchased my new 2008 Toyota Camry, I decided to have the dealership service the new vehicle every 5,000 miles, but Sunnyvale Toyota missed problems with my car. I had my car towed to ASAP because my parents had been doing business there for years, and they had worked on my car when it was my parents'. Noe was condescending and rude. He wouldn't tell me what brand parts they were going to use and only that they were "the highest quality". The parts seemed expensive compared to my research. Noe and Ron refused to do the work with an outsourced part, so I decided to do the work myself. Throughout every conversation, Noe was disrespectful and condescending. Upon posting this information on Facebook, Ron posted my personal information (Address, Phone Number, Email, License Plate #) on Facebook and continued harassing me on my personal Facebook account. Not only will I never do business with them again, but I will continually urge anyone to never do business with them. I have reported them to the BBB for the privacy issue. Did a pre-purchase inspection for a car I was looking at. Took it to these guys and they suggested almost $3,000 in repairs. Also heard two completely different things from the mechanic and the head of the shop. One said the car was in great shape, fifteen minutes later it's a lemon. Took it to another mechanic and he said the car was in great shape, and didn't need any work done. On December 11, 2007 -- I rely on my Honda CR-V to work and I was panic when the check engine light was on last week. Needing the vehicle for my work commute, I had no much time to check around for a good auto shop. So I decided to try my luck at ASAP Automotive. However, the check engine light mysteriously turned off in the middle of their working on the vehicle. Since the light is now off, they could easily tell me that they have fixed the problem and charge me whatever they wanted. Instead, they told me the truth. They did not even charge me the diagnosis fee. I can't tell you how thankful I am to them! To my delight, they found out the reason why my vehicle sometimes died at traffic lights or stop signs and fixed the problem.
