One thing i have learned from reading yelp reviews are to be aware of fake and real reviews. The fake reviews have 1 or 2 reviews, give 5 star ratings, no pictures from other places. This establishment has multiple 5 stars from reviewers with alot of reviews under their profiles. When it comes to finding an auto mechanic, suspicion and dread are the first thoughts that come to mind. Apprehensive thoughts of getting ripped off and upsold for unnecessary repairs creep up. I was pleasantly surprised by this place. I was going to LA for a disneyland trip with the family when i noticed my coolant reservoir was full when the engine was running, from what i remember it should be on "low" when it is running. The waterpump, radiator cap, the radiator itself, or the coolant not circulating due to a blockage could be the issue. In other words, $$$$$$$$$$ would have to be spent. They did an inspection of my vehicle and they were very thorough, it turns out the coolant reservoir was overfilled when i had an oil change at another place. They sucked out the excess coolant. They went through the spark plugs, removed and inspected 4 tires. They did NOT upsell me to replace my air filter even though it was slightly dirty, they did NOT upsell me to replace my brakes, they still had 10,000 miles left. The only thing that they recommended replacing was the battery, it was over 5 years old, and had failed an ohm meter test. I went with it and had them replace it for me. If i had not, I may have had to find someone in the middle of an unfamiliar parking lot to get a jump start. They air cleaned the engine of all the old crud grime. Not offering any discounts or nothing...the min I mentioned a bad yelp review he put my car back together unfixed and said he wasn't going to repair it and I can take it elsewhere. This is for windshield replacement: I had this fat crack going halfway across my windshield and had been driving around with it for about a month until I decided I should probably get it replaced for my safety... or was it everyone nagging me about my safety? I'm not sure. Sooo... after doing some yelp research, I called a few places to get a quote. For my car, most places stated from 250 to 290 bones. No thank you, so I was excited when I called Fremont Auto Repair 2 and got quoted for 210. The manager handled the entire phone call, calling me back with quotes and such in a very professional manner. He even managed to work with me to squeeze me in later that day before I went to work! We booked an appointment time, and it took about 1.5 hours total. The manager let me know that the windshield replacement is subcontracted through this other guy that he respects and trusts because he always does a great job and does not re-use glass like some people may do. Now I got me a new windshield to go and crack again with those rock chips on the freeway. read more

Do not go here they could not fix our car we have taken it there multiple times to have it fixed they couldn't figure out what was wrong with the car finally I took my car to the Toyota dealership and they found a bunch of mistakes that the Fremont auto repair # 2 did they used duct tape to stop a leak they laughed as they said that they could not believe it. Fremont Auto Repair took ADVANTAGE of me! I've WAS a loyal customer for over 4yrs. Driving from Pleasanton to Fremont just to give these guys business because I really liked Juan. Then when I moved to San Jose I still brought my car to them. I had them replace my brakes on my BMW. After they installed the brakes, I had to drive back several times on several different occasion because they squealed so much. They were never able to actual fix the problem. I should have known better then. But I still went back. BIG mistake!!!!! After several, high priced, repairs I had to repair the window regulator on both of my rear windows. First time I did, the regulator worked just shy of a year. Likely I called Juan and they were able to warranty it out, after giving me a hard time about it. After renting a car for 2 days they replaced the regulator. Exactly 3.5 months later the same regulator went out again. When I called Juan to info him of the problem, he denied repairing the window. He said they had already repaired it once free of charge and that if they repaired the window again they would charge me FULL PRICE! WHAT???? I was outraged! So I asked if they can charge me labor but not for the product, because technically I received a malfunctioning product in the first place. He said NO. Trouble customer service. And bad business ethics. I DO NOT recommend doing business with these crooks! read more

I got my windshield replaced here and they did a great job. They were very courteous to tell me the exact time and even called me when the car was done. The estimated time was about 2-3 hours and it only took an hour! I called around other places to get estimates and this is by far the cheapest $140.00 flat. Man! can't blame this guy hustling me .my daughter's car is a piece of you know what , but anyways took her car here for the 2nd time to get it fixed . So he ask what was wrong I explained that the water pump leak and radiator was busted. The mechanic said he charges $50 for over heating check I said ok just please get it done my daughter needs her car for work . Got a call from the mechanic he said it needs a new radiator and a water pump and after he is going to run a compression check if the car had a blown head gasket. He said it will run you $685 for all the labor and parts , I thought about it and I said go ahead, remind you the car was working before I dropped it off . So received the car the next day drove off with it , parked the car and now it don't start what's so ever .. I remember asking him how long will it take for the car to freeze on me cause the head blown gasket he said tomorrow a week a month a year etc , so I had hope !! But now I look back , the hustling ass mechanic knew all along that the car was a piece of sh:t . He could of ran a compression check 1st and then tell me hey sir the car is not worth to fix .. but his thristy ass replace the parts charge me for labor etc.. $685 down the drain !!!!' The owner of this place is a crook. We had a transmission done with a one ur warranty. A month before warranty was up it starts acting up so had to do it again. Now we have another yr warranty on redone trans. We did one long road trip 4 months after second ur warranty is up and transmission goes out again. We r stuck 600 miles from home and had to fix it again $2500. I have tried calling owner to work with us on this matter. Meet us half way or some credits from the shop due to trans keep going out. He refused to do anything. Warranty was up and that's it even tho it's the third time in two yrs and 4 months. I kept calling and he would just avoid my calls. This is so wrong and ripping people off. He did say bring it back to him at time it broke down and he would fix it but we were 600 miles from him. So we had to fix it. Rent a car home until it was fixed by another mechanic and rent a car back to get it. We were good customers that took all r cars to them for yrs and this is unbelievable to treat a loyal customer this way. Stay away from them!!!!! I saw their true colors. Ex customer!!! read more

Juan, Manuel ,Pepe and Milo have been working on all my cars and my limos for the past 3 years and i think its about time that i gave them a review on Yelp, they are a 5 star place with master mechanics, master troubleshooters and all service is done in a timely manner. They are perfectly located in the Irvington Dist of Fremont where i can leave my cars and limos and walk to take care of my dry-cleaning ,grocery shopping and amp up on coffee. Pros: This place is one of the best auto repair shops in Fremont, and they have very cheap prices for repairs. They tell you exactly what is wrong with your car and don't try to sell you work or parts that your car does not need. This guys can fix almost any electrical issues other shops can't fix and they have experience people for old and new cars. Every time I take my cars in to get an oil change they clean up my engine so it looks like new, when i asked them why they say they like to keep customers happy.
