8-23-25 - This store in the Southland Mall was a great experience. I was greeted warmly, was informed of all the sales and asked if I was looking for anything special. The store was clean, well lit and well stocked. Lailani was so helpful, professional, knowledgeable and started a room for me. All the staff was wonderful. This is the best Torrid in the Bay Area, the ladies are amazing and love their customers. Every time I go in I am greeted and asked if I needed help finding anything. They are always ready to help. I've been shopping Torrid for many years and I love this store! The only thing the store should be bigger, even tho it's one of the biggest in the bay, I think it would be awesome if it was even more space to put out more clothes! Shopped here about 6 months ago and the salesperson was very knowledgeable on products available. I was able to get a bra that finally felt comfortable and the right size. When I entered this store one of the first things I noticed that it was clean, spacious and not cluttered like the other locations that I have visited in the Bay Area. I was greeted by T who not only took the time to help me choose a few outfits for myself, she also helped my mother who got a few pieces as well. I went in with the intention of hopefully finding a pair of work pants. Not only did I find pants, but I also got several outfits and a pair of boots that were on sale. In my opinion, T and the other salesperson Maia, went well above and beyond their jobs and made my experience at this Torrid a pleasant one. I will definitely be returning soon! read more

I'm giving toward one store only because they do not have a zero star rating that I can give them. The reason for this is, I ordered $100 in Haute cash, In increments of 25 on each card. I'm a disabled person and had to do my shopping online to use my Haute cash. When I entered the promo code on the back of the Haute cash when checking out it gave me an error each time . So I got a ride went into the store the girl at counter was rude and said I have to contact them online . So I did and this is what I get , a 10.00 credit I already had on my account and nothing for my $100.00 Haute cash after spending hundreds in this store ! Now that my Haute cash is expired this is it 0 ! Where is the great customer service in that ? How disrespectful. I will no longer shop there and canceling my Torrid credit card ! read more

**Update -- the staff has changed and in the last few months so has the service. The staff is not as engaged as I had been used to. I visited this location on 6/21 and one of the ladies was watching what sounded like a retaliation training. I could tell she was bored as she texted on her phone. The training was so loud and definitely not something that should be shared with customers. Unfortunately, this training took place on a register which tied it up on a Friday evening during a rush. It's a shame the service here has become so inconsistent. read more

Ordered online, used PayPal at checkout. Returned at store and was given store credit, not a refund back to my card. Asked why and was told it's because I used PayPal. Was given a number to customer service and told to talk to them. Customer service said there's nothing they can do. So Torrid has their product and my money and my only choice is to use this store credit, thereby keeping my money at Torrid and not refunded back to me. What a scam! read more

I ordered some stuff online and used something that they promote on their website when you check out called Klarna. Well some how Klarna used my old address which I did not type in and sent my order there. When I call Torrid (twice) have been met with rude customer service assistance. I can not tell you how disappointed I am. Not only are they rude in the stores but when you call and ask them to fix it, it's their policy to make the customer jump through hoops and wait even longer. Get your $hit together Torrid or you will be losing a lot more customers! read more

This is a very new Torrid in the Bay Area. I live in Alameda and used to have to drive to Concord when I wanted to buy in stores. I've been to this specific Torrid location several times, and the staff have always been so kind to me. It's definitely become one of my favorite locations!!Often, they have stuff that is usually only sold online in stores, which is great because you can try things on before you buy. read more

I ordered a package on Black Friday and I got a email saying that my package was shipped on November 26 I just got a phone call on December 19 saying my package has been at the store for two weeks now. I did not get a confirmation email saying it was there I did not get a call until now. I am highly upset. I even called torrid a week ago asking if my package was there and a woman put me on hold for at least 30 minutes and they just hanged up. This Torrid has got to be the worst store in the East Bay. read more

Update: The district manager is amazing. I sent an email and received a phone call within 5 minutes regarding my concerns. I will continue to shop at Torrid however, Southland Mall will not be my 1st, 2nd or 3rd choice. I was in your Southland Store today and received horrible customer service from the manager Angel and sales associate Meghan. I was standing in line for about 5 minutes no one acknowledged that I was waiting. The manager Angel was completing an order for a customer while Meghan walked around the store and periodically came to the register. There was a customer who appeared behind me, who Meghan apparently was helping prior. Meghan looked over me and said to the customer "Are you ready?" And called her by her name. The 2 customers who were completing an order, looked around shocked then looked back at Meghan. I made a comment "I think I may be invisible". The customer completing an order stated "she looked right over you but you've been in line". Angel, then said "Meghan was ringing up that customer a little while ago" and proceeded with the order. I then said "I understand that, but she could have acknowledged me as a customer to inform me so that I didn't feel as if I wasn't here". The manager Angel looked at me, cut her eyes sharply then proceeded with the order. She never once apologized or acknowledged the service I received. I placed my items on the counter, requested corporate number as well as their names and walked out. Customer service is definitely not a requirement or important to this store and I will not return except to return my purchase I made online last week. I will not spend anymore money with a company who doesn't care about customer service to all customers. I felt disrespected and not welcomed. read more
