    Texana Torta.

Stopped here when Joann's was closed. Now I have a new favorite. Omg. So good. The bread was perfectly toasted -soft in the middle and crunchy in the right places. Can't wait to be back.

    Torta Milanesa. It's enormous.

Tortas Rainbow is a place I always forget about when thinking of places to eat in Española. The tortas are enormous, my favorite so far being the Texana. The tacos are good and they have the BEST watermelon Aguas Frescas in town.

We found this gem en route from Abiquiú to Santa Fe. We took a detour to check it out. So glad we stopped. I'm sure we were the only folks from out of town. Tortas Rainbow, in heart of Española, is authentic Mexican Street Food says other reviewers, and not Tex-Mex. I believe it. We enjoyed platters of shredded beef enchiladas, one green and one red, with extra red chili sauce on the side. Perfectly spiced. Also had Mexican Coke, 10X better taste than USA-made Coke with corn syrup. Freshly prepared to order. Promptly served. Few tables for sit-in, or take out. We met the proprietor and learned he's owned and run the place for past 8 years. He's proud of his store, and friendly to new patrons. Menu in Spanish and English. No language problem. No beer or wine license. Tips: Ask for extra Red or Green sauce, and don't be turned away by the location in a tired Strip Shopping Center.

Good food and fast. I went there on the recommendation of other reviews of this place, and I was not disappointed. Yum!

The tacos were cheap and delicious! If I'm ever in New Mexico again I'm definitely going back!

Good food. Good prices. Friendly service. Not New Mexican but they have green chiles available.

Tasty, cheap, and quick. Who says you can't have all three. Barbacoa and Carnitas were slow cooked goodness.

Pretty much a hole-in-the-wall (and clean). The food is real and outstanding. Spicy is the norm...delicious is the result.

This was BFF's first time here and he loved it. Both he and mom ordered the carne adovada plate which came with refried beans and rice (they did state that the red chile was too spicy though). I ordered a bean and cheese burrito with both red and green chile (Xmas style). It was ok but 16 bucks for this was too expensive. We also ordered a margarita each and they were also just ok and too expensive at 13 bucks each. As for the parking, it is kind of confusing but there is plenty of (unmarked) spots and kind of like a maze. We dropped off mom on the side (she is handicapped) as there really isn't a front side where you can drop off anyone. Our server was so genuinely nice though and provided excellent service and she went above as well as she noticed us dropping mom off via the cameras and told us we could go out through the side entrance. Would I be back? Most likely not as I had mentioned above that this place has never been one of my favorites but I am sure I am in the minority. I hear it is quite the place to be seen (for happy hour).
