I am honestly not one to write reviews because i work in retail and I know sometimes customer service is hard to do while you're stressed but I am NEVERRRR coming back to this place. We had placed an order and it said it would be ready in 15 minutes so we got there on time and when it came to paying they only had one register open, this party of like 15 people were all trying to figure out how to pay and there was 2 girls helping them. we understood they were stressed but when we asked if we could leave the cash and they keep the change they said no that we had to wait our turn. We ended up waiting 30-40 minutes and when we asked if we could check if the order was still warm or if they could make it one more time the lady said we could either leave it or take it. and that SHE did us a favor because they "never" place orders over the phone however it's been YEARS of them doing so. She showed us her screen to show us how hectic the previous customers were as if it was our fault? Food is great, but their customer service is HORRIBLE read more

The best part about coming here is not only the food, but the staff! We live an hour away but make it a point to come down here every time we bring our kids to West Covina to visit grandma and grandpa. We love this place. Nothing can beat the Fontana... it's a torta (sandwich) with carne asada, avocado, panela cheese, lettuce, tomato The service here is always great. My six year old son has a crush on one of the servers here and she always makes it a point to make sure he feels special. Thank you Mariana! I was in the area and I decided to try this place. The food pictures looked good on yelp so I had to try it. We started by ordering aguas frescas which are Mexican juices made with mostly fruit and sometimes grains. One of my friends ordered a fruity lemonade with strawberry and cucumber. It was very delicious, my other friend ordered horchata which is soaked rice, cinammon and milk and it is then blended with some condensed milk or sugar, I ordered cebada which is a barley drink. I have no idea how it's made but I love it. So time for the main dish, the tortas. My friend ordered a carne asada torta with habanero and grilled jalapeño. I couldn't try it! I'm not that much into spicy food. She didn't like the meat because she said it was too bland and all the flavor was in the pepper. I ordered a torta de pierna which is made with shredded pork loin, it came with melted cheese, avocado, picked onion, lettuce on tomato. So this was disappointing. Sinaloa Mexico is famous for these tortas and this one did not meet the expectations. First of all, the meat was bland, it needed some salt or pepper. It didn't have mayo. Who makes a sandwich without mayo? It supposedly had avocado cream but only on one side and on part of the torta. It should have had it at least on the whole piece of bread. So I asked for a side of mayo and they forgot to bring it so I had to ask again and they brought it. It wasn't that busy. This place all kinds of tortas with a lot of different ingredients, mine were ok. In my opinion, it's more about the qualify of one ingredient instead of piling on a whole bunch of stuff. Went in for a to go order, in an effort to support local businesses. The woman working the to go orders was rude, unfriendly, unhelpful, and when I asked what sausage they used she rudely asked why, we'll I have an allergy to turkey and if the hot dog sausage they use isn't pork or beef there's a good chance I'll have an allergic reaction to it. I have been here many times with my girlfriend and her family. Every time I come the food is amazing and the service is great. The aguas and drinks are also great. I recommend the mixed fruit agua. I chose to get a chimichanga and this is what I got when I opened the box I was eager to try it! I love coming here for the tortas, I get the shredded chicken torta, very tasty not dry at all... the horchata is delicious as well and the cup is gigantic you definitely can't finish this I always end up taking it home.. the only problem I have is if you deal with a specific server and she's busy if you ask another server for something it ain't happening, you will have to wait until your actual server is available, this so far is the only issue I have other then that food and drinks are great!! read more

When you walk in, you cant help to notice the large clear jugs of Juice! those are I'm guessing the Aguas Frescas. there are sooo many flavors, so i chose the Cucumber flavor, but they only serve that flavor on the weekends, my next choice was the Mixed fruit drink. Being it my first time here, I did not know they were going to bring it to me in a gigantic mug, but awesome, because it tasted so darn good, it went well with my meal, and whatever that was leftover they gave us a plastic to-go cup. 2nd time here... the first time my fam and I bought the tortas they were acceptable, this time they were mediocre and considerable greasy. The bread is big and not enough meat in the meal, I felt robbed. The chorizo is extremely greasy, my husband had a stomachache a couple hrs after he finished his. I order a kids torta, they forgot my specifications and just gave me weak piece of bread with a radiograph of cheese, the meat was over cooked and old looking hard to chew. Great food and service! My mom and I ordered two tortas (#30 Fontana). They were both filling and delicious. We also ordered agua de piña y una horchata. Definitely coming back! I've been coming here since they first opened, I'll come here until they close their doors (which I hope Is never). My go to is the Asada con Panela torta with fries and an aqua de fruitas. It's something I crave often, so after moving to Orange County and trying some other torta places, I am sure to come out to BP for a torta Alavert couple months. The day I went it was over 100 degrees outside and there's no AC, so best believe it was hot inside. I asked for two aguas with light ice. The person who filled them put at most 3/4 full. When I asked why they weren't filled to the top she said because I asked for light ice and the remaining 1/4 would be filled by the ice ONLY IF I HAD NOT ASKED FOR LIGHT ICE. so I spent like $11 on 3/4 full aguas frescas. I ordered a Limon and chia with a carne asada sincronizada, my drink was in a dirty cup I was able to see orange residue all around the inside, the cup was not clean. When my food came I got a cheese quesadilla, told the waitress and the cook brought me a plain carne asada quesadilla(still wrong)and apologized. We let the waitress know and she apologized for the cup and mentioned she knew the order for me was wrong...if you knew my plate was wrong or that the Cook made a mistake why did you serve it? Tortas are good but the service is mediocre at best. The manager or whoever she is (Maricela) does not know how to give change and gives you attitude when corrected. I understand this place is busy, but customer service goes a long way. Id rather take out than dine in because their service ruins the whole meal.
