This place is Torta Heaven! All of the Aguas Frescas are sooo good!

Come for the Tortas, come back for the yummy Aqua fresca! I absolutely love their Lunch Special for $4.49 which comes with your choice of carnita (pork) or pollo (chicken) torta and a medium aqua fresca drink of your choice! I usually get the chicken torta which so far has consistently turn out soft and tender every single time I order it. The sandwich is quite big and they even cut it in half for you. Most of the time, I could barely finish one half of the torta and so I would get the other half to go. I also like their free side of jalapeño & pickled carrots which goes well with the torta. The torta is good but I would not say that it's the best torta I've ever tried since I feel that title has to be given to Cook's Tortas in MPK. However, for the quality and price of the food and for the convenience of being so close by to my workplace, I'm still a fan. I know Tortas Sinaloa is known for their Tortas, but I'm in love with their Aqua Fresca! For the free drink that comes with the meal, so far I've tried the Mixed fruit, Coconut milk, Horchata, and Strawberry milk. I have to say that I absolutely love each and every one of them. I ordered lunch with a group of co-workers and we all got Tortas my order was a chicken torta this piece of chicken inside of it look like a slice of sandwitch meat that you would find in like lunch meat, that's not the worst thing all of my co-workers got diarrhea. The wife and I were out one day and stumbled across this place. As soon as I walked in and saw the long row of about 10 different Agua Frescas I knew we found a good spot. The wife ordered the milanesa de pollo torta. Man, it was bomb. Fried breaded chicken breast with tomato and avocado. I ordered carne asada tacos. They were average. I also had a agua de limon (Limeade) that came in a HUGE ass glass mug. I have dreams about that drink. Since we first found this place I have been back several times. I even went to the one in Ontario. The food and drinks were consistant at both locations. I highly recomend this place. The price is very resonable too, so it won't break you. The very best place to go if you are craving tortas. I have tried the Fontana which is carne asada, avocados and panela cheese. I have also tried the Chilanga which is milanesa, chorizo with avocado. Ok first off, pricey...their Agua Frescas are really good, most of their tortas are really good BUT I made the mistake of ordering their Carne Asada Burrito...big mistake. The meat was burnt, the flour tortilla was hella soggy or uncooked? It was pretty much flavorless. I super disappointed. I usual like them but not today. $6.20 for a bland burnt burrito. read more

my favorite torta place closed down :( my bf suggested tortas sinaloa. he said i would like it so i gave it a chance. i LOVE that they serve their horchata in a BIG mug and sprinkle cinnamon on top!! their prices are decent. we both ordered carne asada tortas with cheese. they were delicious! especially after i drenched mine in green sauce haha i would have rated this place a 5/5 but i did not like their cheese. ive had tortas with cheese before and usually its monterey jack cheese. this place has a different cheese. it was cut thick and then fried. i ate the first half of my torta fine, but then i was curious, so i tried the cheese alone....i did not like it at all! im picky when it comes to cheeses lol.. other than that, this place is good and i will be coming back again!! read more

We came in on Monday night at around 9 p.m. The food was delicious, they accommodated my order of just a chicken breast with a side salad. My sister got a torta and chocomil of mango, banana, and a torta de Jamon. Our waiter had excellent service, she was polite, fast. It's hard to find waiters that actually know how to wait on people. Located in a busy home depot parking lot, this place serves up some pretty tasty tortas for a decent price and aguas frescas that are pretty damn good. I came here once probably won't go back unless a friend suggests it, it's good but not special. They do have a very large menu and this place is better than all other taco spots in la puente. read more

Came to try food with all the Yelp reviews and waited over 20 minutes for food . They give salsa and jalapeños but there is no Chips . The food and drinks finally arrived but place was closing and had to rush to eat food . If you have time to waist and not that hungry to wait for a torta then this is your place . read more

Depending on the region in Mèxico, tortas are prepared differently. I've had my fair share of variety and let me tell you these are not on my top list. I ordered the torta de pierna con queso. The meat was tasteless and something in their preparation was missing. Perhaps some crema or beans to help minimize how dry the torta was. The tacos are the same - no flavor. The Aguas frescas are decent but I've had much better. The only plus is they serve you a huge jug for only $3.25. One thing that was good were the frijoles charros. A bit on the spicy side but very tasty nonetheless. Being that "tortas" is in their business sign I feel they should step it up a notch with trying to improve the taste of their tortas. They need more waitresses with experience here, the service is slower than a damn slug, cooks or whoever makes the food are so damn slow. Hire more experienced workers to be able to handle the pressure and more capable of attending costumers or at least entertain them while the food takes forever to be served. This place was such a disappointment walk in with my girlfriend and my daughter and the lace was about half full and plenty of tables were available but each of those tables were full of dirty dishes and filthy. One of the waitress told us to pick were we want to seat we did of curse it was filthy and the only thing the waitress did was to walk away to take orders from others tables instead of trying to pick up some of the dirty dishes and clean up and no one was send to do anything we waited for five minutes got very upset told my girlfriend to go somewhere else we got up and left. Hands down best tortas place in the area! Prices are so resonable too. I have never seen such a variety of tortas, but I stick with the classic...milanesa, carnitas, or the Fontana. All of the tortas that I've had from this place have been very good. For those that don't know, a torta is a Mexican style sandwich. They have a large selection of tortas with different combinations of fillings. They have very good licuados (fruit juices), all of which are freshly made. They have a large selection of the juices, but they do tend to run out of certain flavors. Prices are very cheap and reasonable. The atmosphere is very tacky and cheap feeling. They have a couple of TVs, mostly showing Spanish programming. All of the waitresses are young and very attractive girls. Not all of them speak English, so ordering can be difficult for non-Spanish speakers. read more

Just to start off I want to say that I actually do love Tortas Sinaloa. My favorite is the Sinaloa Especial. I love the flavor, i love everything about it. But the reason for the 3 stars is because honestly their customer service kind of sucks. When its really busy be prepared to wait a long time. My 3 star rating this time is because last week my son was in the hospital, but we were really hungry and thought, "hey! its a sunday and we are gonna go home today, lets go get some tortas and we can eat back at the hospital!". So I dialed them to place an order. I called right before i drove of from Azusa, and as soon as they answered a girl told me to give her one minute she was just gonna charge a customer and thats it, so i said ok!. That minute passed, and then another one, and another one, and another one, and another. ( felt like dj khaled ) jaja. So i basically drove all the way there, and no one ever answered. I was kind mad. because i drove for almost 25 minutes, and i was still on hold the whole time. I got to Tortas Sinaloa, and still waited in line, ON HOLD! waited another 15 minutes just to get to the front of the line. As soon as i got to the front of the line, i asked the girl if they took phone orders. She said yes! and this is when i said. " well i would like to make a phone order please since I've been on hold for almost 45 minutes just to make and order". She looked down to the phone and it was still on for the whole time. All she said was "its because its busy, i don't know who put you on hold." She was the only one at the register, and the rest are waitresses, and there was not a lot of people there, they just talk to each other a lot. But i do hope they find out who it was! -_-. really? it was her by the way. Anyways, thats my reason for my 3 stars. A little funny i guess in a way, but i was kind upset. lost a lot of time. but other than that, give it a try! and see how it goes read more
