We just visited for the 2nd time and realized I never posted a review from our first visit…read more 1st visit we sat at one of the pub top tables by the bar with all the TVs over it. Our wait staff was Makenzie and she was great! We had fried pickles as an appetizer. Came out quick and breaded just right. I had the Cheeseburger Sliders Basket - 3 mini burgers topped with American cheese, mustard, ketchup and pickles. Served with a French fries and coleslaw. My daughter had the Caribbean Jerk Chicken Sub - grilled chicken breast cubed and sautéed with onions, banana peppers, jerk seasonings and melted Provolone cheese. Served on a sub roll with lettuce and homemade pineapple cilantro salsa with pub chips. 2nd visit- It has been about 2 months from our first visit. We were at a booth this time. We had a tv designated just for our booth. The TVs are number and you can have them change the channel for your table. Our one of the large TVs if you don't have your own tv. I had the Gamecock - grilled chicken sandwich topped with bacon, melted Provolone cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and ranch dressing on a brioche bun. Very good sandwich. My husband had the French Dip - roast beef and Provolone cheese baked on a sub roll with caramelized onions and served with au jus. Bobby was our server. He was attentive and nice. Good food in a clean sports bar.

This was my first visit to Dagwood's in North Myrtle Beach. I stopped in after 8 p.m. on a Monday,…read moreso I realize late evenings on a weeknight can feel a little different from peak hours. I was greeted quickly and directed to a seat at the bar. The same staff member soon brought me water and poured a 10-ounce Dirty Myrtle IPA, a local double IPA on tap. She made sure I knew it was a smaller pour, which I appreciated. The beer itself was very good. After getting a menu, I ordered the fish and chips, which is usually my go-to when trying a pub for the first time. The plate looked great when it arrived: four large pieces of fried cod (enough for two people, really), fries, a big pickle spear, two cups of tartar sauce, and coleslaw. The coleslaw deserves special mention. It was excellent--honestly one of the best I've had anywhere. Fresh, balanced, and really flavorful. The fish arrived hot and the first bite was very good: flaky cod with a crisp exterior. As I worked further into it, though, I realized the batter was thicker than I personally prefer. Instead of a light, crispy coating, it was heavier and softer underneath the crust, and as the fish cooled that became more noticeable. The fries were decent but seemed like they had been sitting under heat for a bit. Not bad, just not as hot and crisp as they could have been. The atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable, and it seems like a good place to meet friends or catch a game. Service at the bar was polite but fairly minimal, and my total was just over $27 for the beer and fish and chips, which felt a little high for the overall depth of the meal. Overall, it was a mixed experience: good vibe, great coleslaw, decent fish, but not quite a standout meal for me. I'll likely give Dagwood's another try and explore other items on the menu. And when I do, I'll definitely order that coleslaw again.

The outside is great for families or for a date night. They have a section where they have an outside bar so you can be by the water. They also have a small stage that I'm sure they have music outside. So we started off with drinks and some appetizers. We had the calamari, street corn dip and the margarita. We had the steak with a side order of shrimp, had the Big chill burger with an extra side the Hawaiian pasta salad and the Big Chill Island salad with chicken. Service was good. The apps were tasty and if you like spicy hot it was good. The steak and shrimp was good and flavorful, the burger was good but not the pasta salad. It was not good, that even my daughter didn't like it. As for my Big Chill Island salad was also a disappointment. Not sure what it was but the flavors just didn't go well together. I always like to give places a second try so we might come back and I will try another dish.

Let me start this review by saying the ONLY reason I'm giving this three stars is because our…read moreserver Abby A. was phenomenal! We had a reservation for 6:45 pm and arrived a little after 6:30. Almost everyone in the group went to the bar to wait and was told someone would come for them when the table was ready. I stopped in another store on the way in to the restaurant, so I was a few minutes behind. When I came in, I told the hostess that I'm meeting the rest of my party who is potentially already seated, if she could direct me to where. I gave her the name it was under, and she said they weren't checked in yet. I thought it was strange, but it was almost 6:45 and thought we should still be fine. I texted them to let them know what I was told-they DID check in, so I told the hostess I would wait until the table was ready with her so I could let the rest of my party know. I waited until 7:00 and asked her if we were still waiting for a table or if they were waiting for the rest of my party to come out front and she said she would go check. She came back and said that there still wasn't a table ready and we'd have to wait about 15 more minutes. I joined the rest of my group and went back up front since no one came to get us and asked again. We are now approaching an hour past our reservation and she had seated several other big groups one of which specifically told me they did not have a reservation. I got a little frustrated and let it be known and we were finally seated right about 7:45. If it wasn't for the fact that we had two small children with us that were losing their mind, I would've been fine, even if I was annoyed. When we were finally seated, we were fortunately greeted with a wonderful server, Abby A. I was not overly thrilled with the choices of food on the menu, but we had 6 adults and everyone found something and they were all famished, so I couldn't get many pictures. We ordered the street corn dip (delicious), crab hushpuppies (probably would have been really good had they not been so overcooked/on the verge of burnt) and island fries (I didn't try because 2 of the adults were tearing from the peppers) As for entrees, I settled for the steak skewers, which were well cooked, and tasted OK. I opted to get asparagus instead of the broccolini, but it was WAY overcooked, flavorless, and soggy. I wish I thought to ask for some other than fries because the 2 I tried weren't worth eating. Others ordered chicken peanut mango salad (good), Hawaiian Kalua pork (enjoyed), Capera Island salmon (done well), low country pasta added shrimp (shrimp was cooked nicely), and hamburger kids meal...thinner that McDonald's! She didn't even want to eat the burger "slice". The food was decent, but not nearly good enough for me to ever go back after waiting over an hour our time for a reservation that was made over a week ago without any apologies or even checking in on us. If I hadn't kept checking back, I don't think we would've been seated for a while. I could've spent about $400 somewhere else and had better food and treated with more respect while waiting for our LATE reservation.

Like a diner at its core. Looks like a lot of locals. Food is tasty. I had eggs over easy crispy bacon and grits. My wife had French toast and bacon. Typical diner fare. Reasonable sized portions. Well prepared. Nothing pretentious. Blueberry's is trying to be hip with fancier food and unreasonably sized portions. The Kitchen table is open and bright inside. The decor is a bit dated but pleasant. Staff was amazing and pleasant and service was extremely fast. Coffee constantly refilled. Great place for breakfast and more reasonably priced than its neighbor in Barefoot.

They had many sandwich selections and I opted for the turkey, bacon, avocado - this was on grilled sourdough but I subbed this out with lettuce. The Russian dressing was just right with the turkey and for a side I chose coleslaw. The bacon was crispy and the lettuce fresh. The others in my group loved their lunch too. One had a Philly cheesesteak and the other a chicken panini. I tried a bite of the Philly steak and it was delish. Service was great and we sat in a booth. We all enjoyed our lunch today.

The burger was of good size and topped with jalapeños, hickory smoked bacon, smoked gouda, lettuce, tomato, and the most amazing pepper jelly. I mean who would think to put pepper jelly on a burger, but this not only works, it was also the best burger either of us have had. I ordered my burger with Onion rings, which were Massive in size and clearly fresh (not frozen). I hate to overuse the phrase best ever, but hands down the best onion rings either of us have ever had as well. The wife ordered her burger with Fries. I am not sure these are the best ever, but clearly, they are up there. Fresh, crispy on the outside and super tender on the inside. The Onion Rings were so good we ordered an extra side of them which came with tangy remoulade type sauce. So freaking good What an outstanding and inexpensive meal. We will eat here again if we ever find ourselves in the area.
