The outdoor seating was very nice. We ordered drinks and apps to enjoy while we waited for our food. The drinks are small for the price tag. Would definitely skip drinks unless it's at happy hour. Located in the Barefoot Landing commercial area. The bar is very nice with great views. It has large, comfortable indoor and outdoor seating areas with shore decor. We only stopped in for a couple of drinks so we can't give a review for their food. But our con would be that it is s bit pricey. At $9 per glass of beer, their own Landshark brand beer, was steep. We were seated right away outside on a Saturday evening. Surprisingly they were not that busy which was shocking considering parking was challenging. Our waitress was very accommodating in helping us figure out what to choose on the menu. My husband went with the Baja crabcakes and I went with the salmon. My husband said the crabcakes were ok- definitely hit with the Baja heat with the spicy roumelade. My salmon, even though it was a huge piece, was way overdone. Super dry with not enough seasoning. The green beans tasted like it came out of a can and the potatoes were huge chucks dashed with salt and pepper, really nothing special. I was pretty disappointed. I really don't understand the whole seafood with Mexican concept. It just doesn't go well together. Our food came out and he told them to return to the kitchen. Then our appetizers were delivered and immediately the same food returned from the kitchen. The experience inside was also better, because we didn't have to listen to someone crooning terrible covers while we're trying to enjoy a meal. As far as the food...50/50. Would give zero stars if it was an option. We came in fresh out of town and were looking for a bite to eat on the water. We were taken to the patio and shown a table right out the door. There were probably 15 other open right on the water. We asked to sit at one of those instead. The hostess had to go back in to ask and came out and told it was not possible. We arrived at dinner time and the employees at the host stand were not very friendly. Each time they asked my friend a question, they'd ask an already answered follow up question after. For example, they asked us if we had a seating preference and she said we were fine with the next available, and they responded with "so, you don't have a preference?" - it got annoying very quickly. They told us it would be a 30 minute wait. Not a big deal since it was busy. The kids played on the playground while we waited. We were sat within 30 minutes and taken to a table on the dockside seating area. The hostess who sat us moved super quickly and paid no attention to how far behind her we were. They were also seating larger party at the table next to ours and the four of us got intertwined and blocked by the other party. While we were led back first, I was the last to reach the table between both parties because I was forced to wait for them to all walk in front of me. The menu had some decent selections, but nothing that really stood out. I will give them props for being able to accommodate our picky eater with a side of rice that wasn't listed on the menu. Our server was new and they didn't seem to have trained her well as she didn't know the answers to simple questions. She was very informative and nice, so we're glad she waited on us! We were confused as to why the crab legs had old bay on the shells, but there were no complaints on the meal. The kids enjoyed their food. The burger was nothing special considering they're known for them per their menu. I was a little disappointed when my burger came out with a single patty when the menu said it was a double, but I didn't really need a double! Before leaving, the kids each got a surfboard with their name on it. When their mom went to pay, she asked the host if there was a cash discount since that was a common theme at the shopping plaza. The host was very rude and told her he didn't know and didn't tell her the difference in pricing. She asked her son to get the change because she was so frustrated with the employee and he didn't even have the decency to gently hand the change back and ensure it made it into his hand. He also waved the receipt in his face when he had just finished picking up the coin he dropped because the host roughly handed him the change. The upside to our meal was being able to see into the lake and see all the fish and turtles. I was extremely disappointed with my recent dining experience. One of the most concerning aspects was being told that if food or drinks were prepared incorrectly, the customer would still be expected to pay for them, with little willingness from management to make things right. That approach reflects poor customer service and left a negative impression. Our food took well over an hour to arrive, despite the restaurant being nearly empty. We had a moderately sized party, but with three managers on duty and very few customers in the restaurant, it was difficult to understand why service was moving so slowly. I genuinely felt bad for our waitress, who was doing everything she could under the circumstances. She remained professional and attentive throughout the evening, even acknowledging some of the operational issues the restaurant was facing. When the food finally arrived, it was average at best. I ordered the fish and chips, priced at $23, and received three very small pieces of fish that resembled frozen fish sticks. The fish was overcooked, tough, and frankly unappetizing. I wanted to speak with a manager about our experience, but none were available when needed. That lack of visibility and accountability from management only added to the frustration. I have dined here in the past and remember it being a much more enjoyable experience. Unfortunately, that was not the case this time. Corporate leadership should take a close look at the operations of this location and make meaningful improvements. Based on this visit, there appears to be a significant lack of management oversight and urgency. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience and not worth the money spent. Apparently, that was even more ambitious. Our server had to come back three separate times to inform us that--oops--each requested Chardonnay was also unavailable. The only one left was $18 a glass. Nothing says "hospitality" like being upsold after a wine scavenger hunt. Eventually, we just got beers and gave up on the frozen drinks. But when we finally ordered a margarita on the rocks (a sad compromise), we politely asked if they'd consider offering it at half price due to the frozen-machine farce. Nope. Not even a hint of acknowledgment. Hospitality? Never heard of her. As for the food--this is where things went from laughable to disturbing. I ordered fish and chips and got an extra crispy deep-fried hair baked right into the batter. Lovely. The manager assured us the meal would be comped. Guess what showed up on the bill anyway? Yep. The full charge. After pointing it out, the server kindly offered to remove it by...giving us 15% off and marking it as a military discount we never asked for. I didn't realize stray hair and broken promises qualified as valor. This place is a black hole of basic service and decency. I wish I could give zero stars, but Yelp cruelly requires me to leave one. I believe the restaurant was understaffed during our visit. We waited an hour for our large party but whenever we made it inside, there were many tables available. Our server did not show up for about 15 minutes. We ordered drinks, appetizers, and meals all at the same time. I ran out of my drink during my appetizer, and our table ended up asking another waitress for refills. She didn't get our refills. She went and told our server we needed some. Our server walked by a couple times after. Another 10 minutes passed, and I picked up the glasses and was going to go over to the bar area to ask for some. It just so happened at that time, our waitress came around the corner and took the glasses from me. She was passive aggressive upon returning with the drinks mentioning how she didn't know which drink belonged to which guest. My salad came out after my main meal, and it was in a hot bowl. It was supposed to be able to be added to my entree for $5.99, but I was charged $8.99. Throughout our entire visit, the manager was just walking around staring at an iPad rather than helping his staff. He was yelling at staff when we first walked in. Overall, he didn't seem to be contributing to anything. The only positive to the evening was that the food was good. Props to the hostesses for being kind, the kitchen staff for good food, and the guy running food who was actually helpful. He was great! The rest of the staff didn't seem to care what our experience was. I'm usually pretty understanding as I was a waitress for six years, but this was one of my worst dining experiences. read more

All around terrible experience. We had a large group so they forced a minimum of $70ish per person which is fine. However after our first round of drinks the manager tried to tell us that drinks weren't included in the minimum. This wouldn't make sense as their most expensive entree is $30. What are we expected to get 2+ entrees per person? So after waiting to get it all sorted out for 45 minutes the manager finally gets word from the booking company that they were wrong and we can finally continue our dinner.
