My wife was a little nervous driving to get there and thought it was a hole in the wall...but she raved how the music and food was amazing! Loved atmosphere and locals coming in along with the singing cook! Best playlist for morning breakfast! Cannot say how awesome this place is!!! Service was impeccable!!! Are you kidding me? An Old School Diner where you see Jeff (owner from Philly) working the grill and stand up comedy! I ordered a "baseline" breakfast of Scrambled Eggs, 2 Sausage Patties, and a Biscuit & Gravy half order. The "Joffrey's" coffee was excellent. The one server, Bridget, (owner) easily handled the entire cafe. The two cooks (Shay) and the Bus Boy work as a Team with Bridget and it works good! I loved the banter and the good vibrations. I came back for Lunch three days later, ordered a Patty Melt with Chips, and now I sit for my third visit in the past week .. with Another Patty Melt! Nailed it! Love it made with a fat beef pattie, onions, andhugged by beautiful Seeded Rye! I'm dead serious when I say I love this diner with solid good homemade food at excellent prices and great value! OMG..... That's right OMG, what a terrific hidden gem. How many times I must've driven by this spot, probably hundreds of times. It wasn't until friends from church told us about it and recommended it highly that I decided to pay a visit. And of course so glad I did. This is a 100% mom and pop restaurant, or should I say a Kristy and Scott restaurant. Chris is a very warm and cheery greeter to her establishment and will quickly make you feel at home while taking your order. Scott is hard at work on the grill, creating your delectable meal. My first meal here, (certainly not my last) was an omelet they call the Kitchen Sink. Ham, sausage, peppers, onions, mushrooms, tomatoes, and your choice of cheese, with a side of perfectly prepared and seasoned home fries, with your choice of toast. Of course they have many other choices to choose from such as omelets, biscuits and gravy, pancakes, french toast, and breakfast sandwiches. For Hardy eaters they have what they call their "Big Breakfast," consisting of 3 eggs, 2 bacon, sausage, ham, home fries or grits, and toast for $6.75!!! Tory's is nestled in between Fuzzies Sports barroom and a long strip mall on Highland Avenue. Near the north west corner of Lakeview Rd and Highland Ave. They are open for breakfast and lunch. Monday through Friday 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. And Sunday 7 a.m. to noon for breakfast only. They also are open for lunch. Serving burgers, many different sandwiches, double decker club sandwiches, and salads. When in the area be sure to check them out. Small cafe with great ambiance (if you enjoy 90s rock and the urge to sing along with the cook) which we really enjoyed. Friendly and personable staff. You could tell there were regulars that were also placing take-out orders after they ate in. Tried two of the day's specials, broccoli ham quiche and pumpkin bread French toast with their home fries (yum!). I've never heard of broccoli in quiche before but it definitely worked. The French toast was really tasty too. You could taste the pumpkin and it was served with whipped cream and homemade pumpkin frosting. It wasn't overly sweet and tasted great. One of the best diners I've been to in the area. The ONE waitress is busy and very attentive at the same time. She remembered us on our second visit. Everything is made from scratch, like sweet tea from a jug in the fridge. Ice cubes from trays in a cooler. The only thing missing is no NY style sandwiches like cured meats. Best little hidden cafe. Gotta stop here. The food is fantastic and the cook is entertaining. There are old people, young people and everyone in between. The cooks music is loud and uplifting and he's sings to the top of his lungs to every song and so does everyone in the whole restaurant. There's only about 10 tables and a counter but it was definitely worth the stop. So entertaining and delicious. read more

The place is very small but big enough to get the job done, husband & wife team that does a good job of taking care of their customers, the food comes of quick and hot. This is your basic breakfast staples type of food, nothing unusual or fancy, but very good, kinda like Dinners used to serve food 40 years ago. Got a gift certificate to Tory's as a gift. My $25 gift certificate paid for two visits for two people both times. Amazing, cheap breakfast. My favorite part about breakfast were the home fries. Omg so good. The chocolate chip pancakes were also yummy. I'm typically a French toast girl but I learned at my first visit that theirs was not "eggy" enough for me. Next time I'll ask them to use an extra egg. I really love the family feel in this place you can tell it's a family effort all around and our server which I think was the owner is so nice, attentive and welcoming. Went to breakfast with hubby on a Sunday morning. It is a very small restaurant, so we had to wait a bit which was no issue. Frank Sinatra was playing on the radio and the cook was singing louder than the music was playing and he didn't have a very good voice. I ordered eggs with their whites fully cooked and yokes slightly running. I had to send the eggs back as they were well done. What came out the second time was very running eggs. The cook asked if they were okay because he didn't want to burn them. I said they were okay because all I really wanted to do was get out of that restaurant with all the noise. Hubby had a ham/cheese omelette which was nothing special. It seems like there is a regular clientele that we will not be joining. read more

They have weekend specials and for a family of four you can get a wholesome, filling biscuits and gravy, eggs Benedict, top notch sausage gravy, and excellent French toast. The servers are incredibly accommodating and it's an open kitchen style hole in the wall breakfast spot. They also have a kids menu which is an absolute bargain though I've never had to use it. There's six booths for four and about a dozen counter stools, so a good bit a room but it can fill up quick! Come here for breakfast.
