Came in on the first day of the New Year for dinner and ordered the Chicken Teriyaki as my first meal out for 2025. I dined in, and they gave me the typical salad with sauce to start out the meal. Teriyaki came out right after hot and fresh, although it was served in a takeout container while dining it. I guess this place really is more meant for takeout than dining in. The Chicken Teriyaki was good for what it is, a little more spendy than other teriyaki spots I've been to. The chicken itself was a little dry with some charred ends, but the taste was decent especially with the teriyaki sauces added on after. Service was quite friendly though, especially with the cashier who I assumed was the owner. Location is tucked away from the main road, but easy to get to. I'm in Factoria often, so I will likely give them another visit and try their other items. read more

This Toshi's is great! I've been going here for many years and the food never disappoints. The service is always very friendly and fast, and I love dining in with how lovely it looks inside. With the demise of Teriyaki Time in the Newport Hills Shopping Center and their short-lived successor The Rice Table, Toshi's Teriyaki in Factoria has become our go-to for teriyaki takeout. The food is good quality and well-made, and portions are good. Importantly for us, the sweet & sour chicken is not made with eggs (one of us has an egg allergy). If your navigation unit isn't taking you there--our Garmin doesn't know it exists, and there are other places named Toshi's Teriyaki that it tries to take us to--take the narrow road immediately north of the Factoria McDonalds. We love to pop down to Factoria to pick up some delicious teriyaki for a quick dinner. We either order a standard chicken teriyaki or the combo meal, of which there are many choices. We usually get 1/2 chicken and 1/2 pork teriyaki. Both of these choices are plenty for my husband and me, and I often cannot always eat all of mine. I enjoy chatting with the owner when she has the time. she is so kind and friendly. We generally take out because we live close, but there are many tables for eating in as well. Came here after doing some research on foods that you need to eat in Seattle and the "Seattle style Teriyaki" seemed to pop up a lot. The original Seattle chicken teriyaki here was just perfect. Perfectly cooked chicken in such a beautiful marinade (and the sauce on the side) Yes, that sauce on the side was something of its own! Kinda sweet, smoky and just a rich deep flavor; I could have the sauce by itself too! My friend and I both got the chicken teriyaki (for pickup), and asked for extra salad on the side instead of the rice. Btw, even the salad dressing was SO good! The portion sizes here are REALLY big as well! We ended up eating each of our salads, and just shared the single one of the chicken. 2 meals in one here! Ordered takeout - Chicken Katsu - Honey garlic chicken - Chicken and beef Teriyaki combination platter - 10x gyoza plate Taste: the Katsu and the garlic chicken were nice and crispy, and the sauces complimented the dishes well. The combination platter was okay too, not really anything stood out there but it was nice to have both types of meat to try. The gyoza tasted really nice and the soy sauce was on the sweeter side which made it taste a lot better. The main problem we really had was that the entrées needed the extra sauces that I ordered on top to add that missing flavor since it all felt weak initially which adds to the price in the end. Price: around 75 bucks total for 3 entrées, 1 large appetizer, and the extra sauces. The dishes were sizable enough to say their content was worth the price + everything tasted pretty good/okay. For college/uni students I'd stick to one dish per person or share one if you're not super hungry and an appetizer on the side since things add up pretty quick but this was a treat for me and my girlfriend so we went a bit overboard. This Toshi's Grill used to be good and it used to be reasonably priced. Neither seems to be the case anymore. We ordered two teriyaki chicken and beef combos. The beef was awful. The toughest meet I have ever experienced at a teriyaki place. I don't think they could have bought a cheaper cut of beef. And apparently they have forgotten how to tenderize meat. The chicken was dry. So dry. I have been to teriyaki places dozens of times and have never encountered dry chicken thighs. How long do you have to cook a chicken thigh to make it dry? The really frustrating part is they charge $17.00 for each combo. Go down the road a ways and you get the same order for $5 cheaper per combo. This is a hidden gem tucked behind McDonald's in Factoria. I love that they have a good number of selections that plays off of the teriyaki theme such as yakiudon and Korean spicy noodle soup topped with teriyaki chicken. This is a go to for when you are too tired and too hungry to cook and wait for a cooked meal. I place an order over the phone and it's ready within 10 minutes. I order the chicken teriyaki with rice and salad or the spicy teriyaki. My husband likes the katsu teriyaki and regular teriyaki. It is really moist chicken and delicious salad dressing. The people are nice and greet you like they know you. There is parking here but it is a tricky way in so take your time driving up. There is a clean and spacious dining area. read more

This place was not good. It led to a few to many trips to the water closet if you know what I'm sayin. I got the chicken katsu. Salad was soggy, rice was dry, chicken was chewy and tasted like it was frozen for a couple months. I was hungry but I didn't even want to finish it. They give you a plastic fork that is made from the flimsiest plastic and expect you to eat their tough chicken slices. I had to ask for a knife because they don't normally offer them to you so I could cut my chicken into bite-sized pieces. read more

Customer service is brief in terms of so socializing but you get your meal speedy quick. The location is small but it's very clean. They have about 10 tables and seem to have a constant flow of customers. Their menu is pretty huge and I was not expecting to be indecisive about teriyaki. Everything I've tried has been delicious, and our go-to is always spicy chicken teriyaki and chicken katsu. I love all of the combination options available when I want to change it up, and the portions are always huge. Spicy katsu isn't my favorite since it makes the breading soggy, but I do love that spicy sauce. Gyoza and eggrolls are delicious. The service here is awesome too - the ladies here are always so incredibly sweet! I recommend placing your order by calling in - it takes about 10-15 minutes. Called over to Toshi's... open! 2 Chicken teriyaki's and one chicken fried rice later I am in love with Toshi's teriyaki and will be back for more! The chicken was great. No weird knobby or overly fatty parts. The sauce was simple and delicious and not too sweet. White rice was cooked well. The chicken fried rice was delicious too. Almond chicken - a definition of comfort food with warm gravy coated fried chicken. It is bite sized so that you don't have to worry about getting it around your mouth trying to bite it off. You can almost swallow it all with rice because it is so soft and juicy. I could eat this for all day everyday. Definitely recommended. You can purchase bottled soda or water. This has been my go to spot for lunch while I'm taking classes at Bellevue College. The lady at the front is super sweet and recommends many of her favorite dishes to us and is yet to be wrong about any of them. Service goes above and beyond and the food is fantastic at a very reasonable price. It's generally pretty empty since we are there when they first open so it's a very quiet and relaxed environment. Stopped in for takeout .. I normally get teriyaki down the street but wanted to try Toshi's. The chicken was perfectly cooked and delicious .. The spicy wasn't too hot next time I might get some chili sauce but it was flavorful ! I normally don't get Katsu but based on the positive reviews I wanted to try and I wasn't disappointed .. So yummy as spicy and add the Katsu sauce beyond good !! The salad dressing was really tangy and yummy.. Not normal mayo vinegar and many other teriyaki places serve.. It had a splash of sesame oil and was really good .. The rice was also perfectly cooked .. Can't wait to come back .. Toshi's has fantastic food. I've been coming here for years and it is the best teriyaki in the Factoria/Eastgate area. The beef, pork, and chicken are all perfectly cooked and seasoned. The katsu is above average for teriyaki places, specifically the spicy chicken katsu. The spicy katsu I have not had better anywhere else. Toshi's meals come with good rice and a simple salad. The gyoza is crisp and very tasty. I also like how many options there are on the menu, if you go with a group everyone will be happy. You can also get yakisoba, fried rice, or even some chinese dishes if you aren't interested in teriyaki. The location is very tucked away, so it may be hard to find. It is in a shopping center behind the Factoria McDonald's and U.S. Bank. The atmosphere is inviting, although it is a small space. There are a variety of drinks in a cooler and available to purchase with your meal. The service is always very friendly. I will admit, you can find slightly lower prices elsewhere, but I think you get what you pay for at Toshi's. I find the difference to be small and the whole experience to be better here. read more

This review is for delivery only. Alright I've been a fan of Toshi's forever, but delivery just really hasn't been cutting it for me. The other day I ordered chicken teriyaki/katsu combo with shrimp and veggie tempura and hands down it was the most disappointing teriyaki I've ever had. The chicken teriyaki was mushy, and also had cartilege still attached to some pieces. The tempura batter was THICK, soggy, and so oily. I took one bite and couldn't finish. Plus, I paid $10 to have just carrot and onion tempura with a single broccoli? Way overpriced and definitely expect more variety. Usually, Toshi's is great. But I have 0 confidence in delivery. Good flavors, but portions are small given the overall value. We have been to other Toshi's locations, and though the quality of the teriyaki here is good, the Kirkland location has the same quality for a better price. Chicken teriyaki is the way to go here, and the beef is a solid choice. Be aware that the menu says it's beef steak teriyaki, but the meat itself is sliced ribeye meat. It reminds me of the cuts of meat you'd get in bulgogi. Flavor is similar too. We enjoyed the flavor of the chicken teriyaki, and it was tender and moist, but would have liked more char to it. Salad is a nice accompaniment, but not memorable. The lady running the place is extremely hospitable and friendly; I enjoyed her energy and chatting with her. She is thorough in her packing and does a great job in keeping everything tidy. The space is immaculate with plenty of tables. Parking is limited, and keep an eye out for a TERIYAKI sign off of Factoria Blvd. In a pinch, I'll come back here for only the chicken teriyaki. read more

Toshi's(old Lake Hills location) use to be the go to spot for lunch back when I was in high school. I was really upset when it closed down but happy when I heard it opened back up in Factoria. My boyfriend and I stopped in for dinner last night about an hour before closing time. It was not busy at all. We ordered 2 spicy katsu chickens and a side order of gyoza. Toshi's is the ONLY teriyaki place I know that makes spicy katsu chicken. And it did not disappoint.
