Sushi Kudasai is near my office and is a popular spot for all the workers nearby as Sushi Kudasai caters to just that, given that it's only open on weekdays during lunch hours. I'm glad I discovered it as there is a lot to choose from, especially since I love raw fish. Located in an office building near Bellevue City Hall and El Gaucho, Sushi Kudasai has a good amount of seating inside as well as outside on the patio, which is where I enjoy going during my lunch breaks since the outdoor space is a plaza area that's away from the main road and offers some solitude with an outdoor couch and green space everywhere. I've had the creamy pop poke bowl and the salmon lover's combo, which were both great. But really, no matter what kind of raw fish you're into, they have it here. The menu features a lot of different sushi rolls, bento boxes, poke bowls and for those rainy days, they also have ramen. It is pricey for lunch, with nearly most items close to $20. It's not something I'd want to eat at everyday given how expensive it can get, but for every now and then, I'll treat myself to a poke bowl or some sushi. read more

Sushi Kudasai is next door to where I work, so I came here with coworkers for lunch one day. Located inside the Skyline tower, it was a lot smaller than I expected. You go up and order at the counter, where the menu is located above the counter McDonald's style. It reminded me of a fast food joint (but I guess it's not?) and gave me the vibes of a casual place for a quick lunch. They had a lot of different options-- there were nigiri and rolls alike, and it seemed to be a pretty good price. They also had poke bowls and udons too as part of their menu. Since I really like salmon, I ordered the salmon platter for $12.25. It was 5 piece of salmon nigiri with 6 salmon rolls. I didn't really how the salmon rolls came with wasabi inside of them. The wasabi taste was very strong and ended up overpowering the taste of the fish. I ended up having to deconstruct the rolls to get some of the wasabi out so that I didn't feel my mouth burning every time I ate a roll. If you don't like wasabi, make sure to put in a note to the chef for them to put it on the side instead. The fish tasted really good! I was a big fan of the salmon nigiri and the fish to rice ratio was pretty good. I felt like the fish was decently fresh, and tasted smooth and buttery. The value in this place is actually not too bad. The 11 piece of sushi I had was enough to fill me up to pretty full, but I wasn't stuffed from it. Their rolls are also pretty reasonable, where a simple roll (6 pc, think salmon roll, tuna roll) cost around $5 and the classic ones (8 pc, think spicy tuna, eel, California) cost around $6-7. Larger, special rolls (8pc, topped with fish) would cost about $10-12. Probably would come back here again, and try out some other things on their menu. Sushi Kudasai has Korean owners, which have been hit or miss when it comes to Japanese restaurants in my past experience. The open kitchen was also a marvel to look at, the restaurant worked like a well oiled machine. The menu mostly consists of sushi, ramen, and poke, a recent addition they've been pushing out. It's a tad bit overpriced for me and I've always left feeling hungry after spending $10-15 dollars on nigiri rolls. The reason this review is 2 stars is because of the poke bowl I tried. I ordered the spicy tuna poke bowl which came with pretty large tuna chunks, avocado, rice or spinach, and crab salad. At first glance it seemed like a great buy: $12 for a hefty amount of tuna. I ordered a bowl of miso soup and six California rolls - admittedly a mistake, as my coworkers' much more colorful and original rolls tasted quite a bit better than mine. Nothing I had was particularly good - I'd describe the sushi as Whole Foods-quality, and the miso was good but no more than that. However, the few pieces I tried from my friends were enough to convince me to come back. The poke bowls are filling and well-portioned, the rainbow roll was genuinely a delight, and the portions for the price are nearly unbeatable for the area. If you're looking for the best food in town, go elsewhere. Heck, if you're looking for the best quick sushi-related lunch within a mile, go elsewhere - Pokeworks, which is about a ten-minute walk away, is miles better. The sushi here is consistent and good. I think it's a little overpriced for what you get but it's within a 5 minute walk from my work, so it's incredibly convenient. I usually get anything with shrimp tempura in it (my favorite) and I've only been here on the weekdays during lunch. Sometimes it can get a tad bit busy, but the lines move fast and they're incredibly efficient. I've only tried a few rolls on the menu so my rating only pertains to a few select items. I've never tried the sashimi or nigiri because I'm a bit picky on that and don't like eating mediocre quality raw fish (I like to hold Kashiba as my standard). I have been ordering a lot of sushi to eat at home and while this one isn't the worst it isn't really that good either. The salmon sashimi was good enough, but the rice they use seems different and less complimentary to the fish. I had a spicy salmon hand roll which was actually nice as spicy but again the rice was more noticeable in texture when it really should play second fiddle to the fish. read more

It's not the most top-notch sushi ever, but absolutely fresh, not chintzy (you know those places that give you 90% rice in your roll!), and not overloaded with fake crab and mayo sauces like a number of the newer Bellevue sushi places. It's primarily take-out though there are a few tables. There are also plenty of places to sit in the lobby or outside. They do a nice job with packaging, and there are to go cups you can fill with low-sodium soy sauce, a HUGE plus for me. I actually love salt and don't avoid it, but prefer the low-sodium soy sauce. This is in Skyline tower, so really caters to the local businesses and residents. Parking is pretty pricey and I don't know that the validate. I was craving some quick sushi after work so I stopped by here. Given that the place closed at 6pm, I had my reservation about ordering after 5 when the place was completely empty. However, I guess many people had the same thought so I decided to brave the store after another lady stopped by to order take out. The place is run by two Koreans. I ordered the Playgirl Roll which is salmon and avocado on top and tempura shrimp inside. The brown sauce that was drizzled on top tasted like oyster sauce. The roll itself looked quite pretty. However, I think since they already turn off the fryer, they heated up the tempura shrimp in the microwave instead. As a result the tempura breading was not crispy at all. That was slightly disappointing. Several other people stopped at the store after me. They probably all had the good sense not to order a roll with a fried element. Anyhow, salmon tasted fresh, the roll didn't taste too awful. Nevertheless, I would recommend not ordering any roll with tempura at odd hours so that you can get the proper texture balance in your roll. read more

I stumbled onto this place because a coworker and I went exploring lol normally we were use to seeing places nearby but we decided to expand our horizons. After searching around for good places to eat, we came here which I was happy about because Sushi? Why not! I love Sushi. We first tried Chicken coup which was great too but I'll save that for their own review of mines :P After coming in, the people there were very nice and friendly. Helped me with my order and made it in front of me. The enjoyment I get from restaurants is when they make it in front of me, how it's made so that was a plus. When I got my food, tasted it and my tastebuds went bonkers LOL always hits the spot when I'm hungry so it's my go to place. Everything above is the great things about this place. The only downside is when I only like to buy one type of sushi, I'm suggested to try others (with the impression on their face like "do you always order that) I mean I love certain types of sushi but I guess they're just being nice. Maybe I'm overthinking it? It's just a feeling I get when I come there, as if I'm judged for what I order. At least I'm buying to support the company right? Anyw enough of my rambling. I was so excited to find a new sushi place that is a short walk from my work. You walk up the the counter and place your order. Sometimes there is a line, sometimes there isn't, but regardless it always moves fast and you never have to wait long. I ordered the Spicy Tuna Poke and Deluxe Lunch Combo H- 5 salmon pieces and spicy salmon roll. There was more than enough food for one person. I couldn't finish it all! Get in the elevator and you'll go to the main level (forgot the level) once it opens you'll see the Sushi place in front of you. How to order: Walk right up and take your pick, the cashier we had was somewhat friendly. Cooks/chefs were busy preparing a large take out order. Once we ordered, we sat ourselves. Theres a free self service filtered water dispenser, as well as free tea options. Ambience: clean, updated, newer, simple, bright, quiet when its slow, not sure how loud it gets when its busy. Food: the plating was pretty and clean looking. Everything was dreadfully sweet. I ordered the bibimbap and the gochujang sauce was suppppperrrr sweet. I felt sickly weird after, finish the dish with a taste in my palate like I was having dessert. Was not pleasant at all. The dragon roll we got was actually the only thing we enjoyed of the entrees. It didnt have the dragon head like other photos show on here :'-( but it was yummy. The udon noodles were weird. The noodles were overcooked, the broth was good though but my taste buds were ruined from the bibimbap sauce by then so I didnt enjoy it. Wasnt that hot either, more warm than a hot bowl of noodles. The miso soup was good too. But my favorite dish was probably the tofu salad. I really enjoyed how refreshing it was and the dressing was delicious. You have to be brave to go up a few flights of stairs and past the elevator bank to find this hidden gem, so I'm not sure how bang people who don't work in that office building go there, but I think this new place is going to spike in popularity. I love Sushi Kudasai. Why? 1) They offer a fast, healthy, tasty alternative to the other junky lunch places nearby. 2) They have online ordering! They enable my laziness and impatience! 3) If I wanted to eat in, they have a lot of seating in a clean and attractive environment. I tried them for the first time last week. My food was ready when I arrived. I enjoyed the seaweed salad (although it was very tiny and I probably would not order again) and two vegetarian rolls, one with tofu and one without. The rolls were very, very similar, and they were pretty much the only vegetarian roll options with more than one ingredient. I'd like to see more and more inventive vegetarian options as Kudasai grows, but for now, just having something fresh and edible to enjoy for lunch is good enough. read more

A downtown favorite, Sushi Kudasai had its grand opening in Bellevue on 6/9/2014. It is located inside the Skyline building, so if you do not work/live in a close proximity, you will have to search for parking a few blocks way. The menu is very extensive (see website) and includes everything from traditional rolls to various rice bowls and salad. I tried the sashimi salad and it was incredible! Of course, it only consisted of mixed greens and 6 pieces of various sashimi, but for $10, it sufficiently curbed my craving. The fish itself tasted remarkably fresh and the salad had a sizeable portion of sashimi. There is only a small sushi bar to sit at within the restaurant confines, but the lobby of Skyline has plenty of additional seating. As it is nestled within a corporate building, it is worth noting that it is more of a grab & sit/go restaurant and there is no table service. I work in this building and drop down for the poke bowl all the time. The poke bowl is only $12 and it contains a ton of fresh sashimi. I usually get the citrus shoyu poke bowl or the spicy poke bowl. I can eat, but their poke bowl knocks me out. I never finish the whole thing, unless I want to call it a day and pass out at my desk. The fish is always extremely fresh and clean. Excellent quality and surprisingly consistent over the last three years that I have been eating here. You definitely don't expect this level of sushi in an office building. The staff is very friendly and fast. You are in and out in just a few minutes. Their menu is focused on the fish, and it shows. A big disappointment. The tuna, albacore ands salmon sashimi all tasted the same... flavorless. This usually happens when the fish is not thawed properly. The only fresh tastes were the Wasabi and Gari. The Tofu Roll was very flimsy and just about fell apart in my hand. A few positives.. I did enjoy the edamame. The staff working the counter were very polite and the restaurant itself is bright and clean. Sushi Kudasai could have some great potential if they just figured out how to prepare sushi properly.
