I have been here twice and sent others here only to hear the same thing I experienced: the staff stared and gave an unfriendly gaze of what are you doing here??? This place is one of our go to brunch place. Not so crowded so we can be seated right away. If you are tired of greasy, oversize American brunch, I would recommend this place. Smaller yet proper portion food with tasteful tea and bread makes perfect relaxing Sunday brunch for us. read more

I ate so much I literally felt sick. And I'm one of those who considers that a good thing.... I guess I thought I kind of knew Turkish food, but apparently not as I tasted some flavors I never had before this past Friday night. I went with my family and the waiter assisted parties that came in AFTER us and took our order late. Horrible rude customer service. A waitress refused to give us a table by the window, because those were for four people, even though the place was nearly empty. She gave us a table by the bathroom . However there was another couple sitting at the window table for four. Of course, we just decided to leave. I had to deal with rude service in this cafe before, but enough is enough! Very friendly service. Loved the hummus and the bread they serve. I had the chicken kebabs with bulgar. The chicken was tasty but a little on the drier side. The bulgar was flavored with a tomato type broth and onions and peppers. Salad was amazing with a lemon/oil dressing. Will definitely be back to try other dishes. read more

My Turkish wife and her friend brought me here today for brunch. It is a nicely decorated and modern looking restaurant. The 3 of us ordered different things and shared them. We had the classic Turkish breakfast plate, lahmajun, and socuk pide. All 3 were very good and highly recommended. The Turkish tea was authentic too. For now I give it 4 stars but when I try again for dinner, maybe I will make it 5. read more

I finally got around to trying this new Turkish restaurant and I have to say that the food is AMAZING! I also loved the décor... very quaint and makes you feel transported. I had the shish kabobs (meat is grilled to perfection, tabbouleh (has more tomato and less parsley than I'm used to, but still excellent), fried kibbeh, calamari, baba ganoush, hummus... all delicious! The only thing I would say that needs improvement is that the wait staff is sometimes busy chatting with one another behind the counter and not as observant when it comes to refilling your water or checking to see if you need anything else. Great for dates or families. Parking can be challenging.. not enough spaces and on a weird angle. read more

If I can give it a negative I would. The second we arrived for our reservation on Mother's Day we were told we only have until 7 to order our food, eat, and leave. We arrived 20 mins late because of the horrible parking lot they have and no parking to be found. We sat down and 15 mins pass without anyone greeting us no water no menus. I decide to get up and talk to the "manager" apparently they didn't have a manager or owner on one of their busiest days. I asked why we didn't get menus or anything Deleki had the nerve to tell us that we aren't going to have enough time to order and eat our food before the next reservation, mind you this is Mother's Day and there were over 5 empty tables around us. I have never been disrespected before in a restaurant. No hospitality and very discriminatory. The entire staff watched as I tried understanding why they didn't give us a menu as I talked to Deleki. If you want horrible service and to be treated like trash go to this place. We ended up going to Hakki Baba in Cliffside Park, we called 5 mins before arriving they had menus on the table and water and they greeted us with warm open hands. They were very busy and arranged space just for us. Their food is authentic Turkish food and much better than the pics Marmaris present. read more

To be honest, the times I've come here is because of its proximity to nice walking areas in edgewater and the ambiance inside is really nice and more "fancy". Their chicken kabob is really good, but nothing I haven't had before. It is a little pricey so I would go when you have a nicer occasion or when you want to dine-in. read more

Living in Edgewater I often visited this restaurant. Never again. Today I ordered the bean and lamb casserole. It was only beans without a trace of meat. When I complained to our waitress she said that this is a turkey traditional dish. No, that is pure lie. They saved couple bucks on meat and lost loyal guest and all my food loving friends. Had a wonderful dinner .. good service and great quality food. We had the pide and the hummus and some lamb for the main course. The food was all very well flavored and we walked out happy with some baklava on the house. Their food here is very delicious. Their pide bread is always fresh and soft. I think they make it on premise. Their pide pizzas are also one of my favorites. They are generous with their servings. The entree I usually always get is the mixed grill. It's a nice sampling of different meats. Just finished the most amazing lunch! The food was so tasty. The kibbe was cooked to perfection, even though is fried it wasn't greasy at all. Had the shrimp appetizer (karides guvec) which is cooked in a tomato and peppers sauce. Delicious! Got to sample all different kind of grilled meats from the mixed grill. Lamb chops were so tender. Dilek, our waitress was so sweet and attentive and the background music set up the right mood. Definitely a repeat place next time I'm in Edgewater! read more

If I could give a restaurant a Zero this would be the place. My brother in law took my sister, mother and his mother out to Mother's Day dinner and it was supposed to be a lovely time, unfortunately the staff ruined it. The woman who greeted them was beyond rude, the first thing out of her mouth was that they have a time limit to eat and that they have to be out by 7...it was already 5:30 and they were seated at 6. No water, no bread, no apps were served and when he asked to speak to a manager he was told they have no manager and that they also weren't allowed to have a menu...WHO DOESNT GIVE PEOPLE A MENU!? Apparently you're not allowed to have a menu or order off the menu and you have to eat what's available...I can understand a busy time but how dare you rush people out and not even give them a menu in order to enjoy their food? Ridiculous and disgusting service! read more
