Wish I had read reviews before we got them. They came through our home insurance company. Pretty much didn't do anything. Not only did the guy not sound at all confident, but he said he checked thing when he obviously didn't (said he checked the disposal but he didn't even run it), (said he tried cleaning but we watched him do it and he just poked at the hose with a screwdriver for 5 seconds). Im extremely pissed. Bought dryer through Best Buy. Control board went out a month and a half ago. Called right away, was going to take two weeks for them to even come out. So I had someone come out on my own dime before who checked everything and said it was the control board. I still had to wait for them to come out and be like "Yep its the control board" and order the part. Came out last week with the wrong part, not wearing a mask either. Part comes in today. Ive seen this dryer disassembled twice now, the part pops on within seconds. Cant have someone come out till Friday. I argue with them and the soonest is Wednesday. Quite literally I wish I had not bought any of my appliances through best buy. Lets provide an update: Its the 16th of September and another repair man came out with the wrong part yet again. It might be easier to just buy a new freaking dryer. Its the 24th. Again wrong part. Yup. This is just fantastic. Im about to make it my mission to find this business listed anywhere and everywhere and ruin any decent review score they have, including trying to have them removed as a repair business under Geek squad warranty. Make a woman who is recovering from a hysterectomy hang loads of laundry on a line for two months and Im now your worst enemy. Run away from this company as fast as you can. David came to fix our ice and couldn't figure out what was wrong with it. They replaced a valve that didn't fix the issue. They also replaced to auger that sits under our ice maker. After replacing the part, the ice bucket wouldn't sit flush with our fridge. I called and they told me as long as the ice maker is producing ice then it's not there problem and to get a hold of my warranty company. I called our warranty company and they said it sounds like a faulty part or a bad install and that it's up to the company to fix it. After complaining to management, David reluctantly came out and tried to fix it again. The whole time he was rude and complaining about how he shouldn't even be fixing it for us. He spent out about 10 minutes trying to fix it and left without it being fixed. Pros 1. On time to appointments 2. Management has been good to deal with Cons 1. David is super rude and doesn't take the time to figure out what's going on with the problem. Very impatient. 2. Same initial issues exist. Fridge was never repaired correctly 3. Company won't fix their mistakes. Blames the issue on Whirlpool or Home Warranty company. If you need a band-aid job then this is the company for you. Look at all there other reviews. They do not stand behind there work and will find any reason to blame it on everyone else. Caused more issues then fixed. We did not choose to work with Total Appliance as our washing machine is under warranty so the place we bought it sent them out. We have had several issues with the machine and even had some work done on it before (by another appliance company) as per the manufacturer suggestions. The same issues came back so the place we bought it sent Total Appliance out. The repair guy could not have been 25 years old but bragged about having 20 years experience. When he was questioned about it, he claimed he had been working with his dad since he was 5 years old. Not quite the "experience" I was hoping for. We showed him a video we took of the issue so he could see it for himself. He then preceded to tell us the washing machine was not level which is causing all the noise. Knowing it was level (I leveled it myself) I asked him to level it. When he returned from his truck with his level, he put it on the machine and stated "well, it is level." He then went on to say that the floor is crooked and that the pan the washer and dryer is in is causing the issue. I asked him if the floor was crooked, wouldn't we just adjust the pegs the washing machine was sitting on to compensate for the "crooked" floor? He said that wouldn't work because the pan is causing the issue and he sees it all the time. I told him our last machine sat in that same spot for 15 years and never had this kind of an issue. He said it's because washing machines were built better back then. I told him I didn't agree with what he was telling me and that the floor was not crooked. He then said the machine we bought is cheap and he would not have recommenced buying it. He then suggested two other brands we should replace it with. The guy made no attempts to even correct the issue, he literally just sat there and looked at it without removing a single screw, panel or anything. After making all kinds of excuses, he decided to blame my house for the problem. Are you kidding me?!?!? When I called the place I bought the machine to see what else we can do, they called Total Appliance to obtain the details and were told there was nothing wrong with the washing machine. I then told them what we went through with Total Appliance and they agreed to send out another repair company. I also suggested they take Total Appliance off of their approved contractor list as they were making them look bad. The only good that came out of this, is that I didn't have to pay them to waste my time. I will never use Total Appliance again as I have absolutely no faith in their business. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY THE WORST COMPANY TO DO BUSINESS WITH. This company was assigned by a home warranty company to repair a microwave. After missing the first appointment it was rescheduled. They came, 'diagnosed' the problem and ordered the part. They returned 1 week later to make the repair. The 'over the stove' microwave was was taken down and disassembled on the kitchen island. After an hour they realized they ordered an incorrect part. They indicated that the correct part would have to be ordered and asked if they could keep the disassembled microwave on the island until they came back. I said definitely not so they reinstalled the microwave over the stove. I called them a week later to inquire about the status of the on-order part. THEY SAID THEY WERE NOT COMING BACK. Total Appliance should not accept service contracts for Tooele. They would only send a technician out one day per week & were often scheduling out several weeks. The first tech who came was rude to my mother & misdiagnosed the problems. We then wait weeks, with no communication, for parts to come. Finally a better tech came out, diagnosed additional problems & told us more parts would be ordered. After nearly TWO MONTHS I called to find out what in the world was going on & was told our service ticket had been CLOSED! Again, NO COMMUNICATION! made an appointment with Lowes (they are subcontracted for warranties) for them to come out 1/2 between 8 and 12. They called at 9:15 on 1/2 that they would be out between 12 and 4. When I got upset they hung up on me. I called back to confirm they would still be coming of which they did confirm. 3:45 I called an Noone answered. Called lowes back and filed a complaint and requested follow up as I feared they would not show. 4:15 I called again and they finally answered saying my appointment was moved to Thursday. I told them I was confirmed with this morning and they said th best they could do is come out tomorrow. This has now cost me an entire day of work worth more than $300. I work in a nursing home as a PT assistant. So, now my 20 patients that were supposed to be seen today will not be seen and are missing out on care because this company decided to move my time without consent and then move my day without consent. read more

Avoid this company! We had to use them through our home warranty company to repair our dishwasher. They didn't call before they came like they said they would, didn't even say they were from they company when I answered the door and worst they left things worse than they were before they came. After "fixing" the dishwasher they forgot to plug some hoses back in before turning on the water and it caused water damage. We took pictures and contacted them about compensation for damages. We scheduled a dryer vent cleaning and an AC service at the same time, in person, at the home show. At the time, I informed them that my dryer vent went from the basement up through the roof, and they said no problem. When they came to do the service, the kid complained the whole time about the dryer vent going through the roof, didn't bring a ladder and had to use ours, and then claimed he knew nothing about the AC service being scheduled and "didn't have the stuff to do it". And then complained some more about the dryer vent. They also charged us more than they said they would. If you want anything to be scheduled as promised, you are apt to be terribly disappointed. 1. I ordered a dishwasher From Lowes on June 28th. It was on Lowes Centerville dock on July 5th. Total Appliance was notified, and called and made an appointment with me to deliver (proving they had my Phone number). 2. Day of appointment the technician called me (again on my phone number) and said he would be out as soon as he picked the dishwasher up from Lowes. In short time he called me back and said that the dishwasher was not there ( had the confirmation from Lowes that it was.) I was told they would be back in touch with me to set a new time when they found the dishwasher. 3. I called Lowes customer service several times and they always promised to get back to me and never did. other than to tell me the dishwasher was in the store. On August 4th I called Lowes once more and raged on them for never calling back. @ day later I get a call back saying that they had the dishwasher and had notified Total Apliance Service. 4. This Monday (this being written on Thursday, Total Appliance called and I set an appointment for this Morning Before noon. We had changed all our schedules to accommodate and cleared the work area for the technician. At 12.00 they had not been here. I called Lowes and found that it had not been picked up. I then called Total Appliance Service, I was told that the technician had been to my home and knocked & found no one home and that he had called and now one answered. Neither of those is true. I sat in a chair not 3 feet from the door with phones in hand (All our phones keep a list of all calls) they showed no one had called. I asked that they have the tech com back and work late to do the job as promised. They refused in no uncertain terms. Conclusion on my part is that these people get all their work from 3rd party sources which will take the heat when they do not perform. It is evident from their review standing that they do not care about the customer(final User) they will get their referrals any way because of the agreements they have with sellers. I happen to own installation, repair, Maintenance company, with service and installation technicians covering 7 Western States. These folks are of those that give Repair @ Service companies such a terrible reputation. And worst of all there may be an atmosphere of dishonesty as I was told less than the truth. A Drive installation is what I experienced. A technician possibly drove by my home and took a picture showing the date and time. After that who knows where he went. The technician reports back to his supervisor, that he called and knocked and she posts it when in fact, taking the picture is all that happened. Like other reviewer's experience with Total Appliance Service Inc., I was also a victim of horrible experience with them as well! I went through my warranty company for a plumbing issue and after confirming that they have a licensed plumber, I was able to get an appointment. On the day of the appointment the company called and had to canceled because the plumber was stuck on another job and won't be able to make it to the appointment. Rescheduled for the next day. On the day of the appointment, I called in to confirm the appointment and the rep assured me that Doug the plumber was scheduled to come out to my home. Of course, during the scheduled time slot of the appointment, no one showed up! Couldn't call the company bc they close at 4PM and the appointment was scheduled between 4-6pm!! This company is a complete joke to work with! In the event that your warranty company assign you to this company, request for someone else. Don't waste your time with them. If you are paying out of your own pocket definitely go somewhere else! Not worth your time or hard earned money! Beginning of November I scheduled warranty service on my Frigidaire refrigerator cause it was freezing stuff. They scheduled me for November 23. Came out tech said maybe a control board was bad and left. On December 9 he returned with a board changed it and left. Fridge hasn't worked since. Called and the soonest they could get me back in was December 29. I went and bought another fridge which is kept in my garage because this fridge won't work now. Morning of December 29 they call and cancel and say I'll have to wait until Jan 5. Totally unacceptable. Lack of knowledge to fix it right the first time, and very poor scheduling practices. Worst experience with a repair company I have ever had! We just needed our GE dishwasher fixedz. This company and the tech assigned to us is a joke! First the tech said he could not come to our location for a week and a half. We scheduled a appointment and he said he would give us a 15 to 30 minutes heads up when he was on his way. These people are THE most unprofessional people I have ever dealt with in my 40 years plus dealing with plumbers. They lie. They promise and then lie again. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THESE PEOPLE. I used these people through my warranty service and called on a Monday for an appointment. They could not schedule me until Friday. I said I need something sooner. They insisted. I reluctantly made an appointment for Friday, I had read all the horrible one star Yelp reviews, but crossed my fingers that they would uphold my far in advance appointment. Wrong, I should have followed the advise of all these negative reviews. Next time, Yelp will dictate my choices for contractors. This was for a simple bathtub leak repair job. I called them Thursday to confirm and they said all is set, in fact, due to my address, I would be first in line of my 10AM-2PM window. I was glad. I canceled many events to be ready for the plumber. I called on Friday, the day of the appointment, to see where they were in sending me my promised plumber. I was put on hold for over 20 minutes. Finally a second woman said she was checking and put me on another long hold. She finally returned to tell me the plumber called in sick and I have to reschedule. I said this is not my fault and this is NOT acceptable and demanded a plumber today as promised. She said not one was available. She said Monday, I said no! Their service techs are worthless and dishonest & must get kickbacks for writing up reports that allow my warranty company to deny my repair claim. In 2 months I was forced to pay them $120 for 2 service calls on a 30 yr old fridge(required by my warranty company). When tech would try to order a new part for repairing it, he discovered parts for a 30 yr old fridge were longer available. He lied on the diagnoses saying either it was a issue which wasn't covered(1st service call) or (2nd service call) even though tech inspected frozen food in the fridge report said temperature in fridge was working fine. DO NOT USE THESE GUYS. They are a complete joke. This was by far the worst experience I've ever had with a company. Our fridge has been broken for almost two months now. They keep giving us the run around and either never show up or tell us they need to order parts for the fridge. I made an appointment for 4 days out. I called the day of and they said they tried calling me to tell me they were booked that day and had to reschedule. When asked why I never got a voicemail or an email, they said they had the wrong number but didn't call the secondary number I gave them or the email. They then scheduled the appointment for a week later in the afternoon. The morning of the appointment, he said he was at the door. When I told him the appointment was schedule for the afternoon he said he finished early and couldn't come back later. He "diagnosed" the problem on the phone and said he would order a part and be back in a day or two. Two days later, after we hadn't heard from him, I called and they said it would take a week for them to get out there. He finally showed up at the correct time. However, he took 5 min to look at the fridge and said he had to order the part and would be back in a day. I called the office the next morning and they said they couldn't come for another week. When they didn't show up a week later, I called again and they said someone had called and canceled the appointment. Again, DO NOT USE THESE GUYS. They are a complete joke. read more

My contract was with Assurant Solutions which is the worst protection company, maybe EVEN worse than Total Appliance! I had a similar experience sent out a total incompetent service Technician who deemed my microwave unrepairable and it was fixed by my fiance with a $35 dollar part at a later date. Then to my washer repair nightmare, after being told that it was repairable it took two weeks of me calling to find out my parts were backordered to then have my basement be flooded from me using my washer after being advised by the same service technician that I could use the washer until my parts arrived. I am out time plus $1400 dollars for a disaster clean up to come clean up the flood! If you are looking for a reputable honest company, don't use these guys! I would love someone to have saved me the heartache of this happening to them! This is the worst company ever! DO NOT USE THEM! The techs are incompetent and cannot do the job. We had a plumber come out to my house, he couldn't fix the problem and we were told that we had to expose the wall in my shower to fix the valve. After hours of work, we removed the wall only to have the plumber come back with a different plumber who said we didn't need to expose the wall after the company and previous contractor plumber told us to. NO COMMUNICATION! The company didn't reimburse us for exposing the wall neither did they reimburse us for other fees because their plumber was too stupid and switched off the main valve to our complex and not the one for our unit. This company is terrible and doesn't take care of its customer. Good luck with future business, I'll never recommend anyone to this company. Came out to look at our broken dishwasher under our home warranty since it broke right after we moved in. We informed him that it keeps running and had flooded the basement ceiling beneath it, so we had turned the water off to it and unplugged the appliance. He plugged it in and turned the water back on, did his assessment and then left. This caused my basement to flood yet again and ruin the newly replaced ceiling drywall & beam from it flooding before. I've called multiple times and they haven't taken responsibility for this new damages and just say they'll look into it and someone will call me....they haven't. To top it all off, this incompetent technician reported that the dishwasher does not fall under home warrantee because it was beyond normal wear and tear. I literally used it less than 5 times before it broke and have been using the other dishwasher the rest of the time since there are 2 in this kitchen. read more

They had some moron come out and assess that my A/C wasn't working "cuz it just needs a quick cleanin'" that cost me an extra $50 and didn't do jack $hit to fix the A/C. Then I had to wait another two weeks for a different moron to come out and "assess the problem." He figured out (allegedly) that there wasn't enough refrigerant in the system. And, of course, didn't bring any refrigerant with him and had to go back to the shop and would most like come out next week. A week goes by, no phone call. Nothing. More parts need to be ordered and but after waiting another week they don't fix the problem. We would not use this company again under any circumstances.
