One of the staff was clearing the table and accidentally brushed against me, he barely touched me - he couldn't have been more apologetic. Very impressive, I assume management trained him and kudos to them for that! Food was next level! Calamari app was tasty, fresh, tender and delicious. I had the Filet of Sole and it was in an egg batter that was very tasty and perfect. I know it was good because my son had several bites! He also had the gnocchi and I don't think he took a breath while eating it. Definitely be back if I'm in the area again.

The Mediterranean salad had no tomatoes or cucumbers which is pretty standard in a Mediterranean salad. No bread came on the side. Typical Italian restaurants will always provide a bread on the side. The chicken was ok. The seafood pasta lacked flavor. It's as if the seafood was just boiled without lemon, butter, wine etc. it had no flavor ! I requested utensils and to go items (plates, napkins) and the ordered came with nothing. Big disappointment won't be returning.

For dessert, we had the Albanian Tres Leches, which was good but didn't blow me away. The servers are very friendly, and I really like the atmosphere. It feels very authentically Albanian. As one should. I ordered the Pasta al Forno, which showed up hot, cheesy, and very much not interested in being subtle. Comfort food doing the absolute most -- baked, sauced, and bubbling like it knew it was the right choice. One would think "Boiled eggs in pasta?", but trust me, the bechamel sauce takes it to the next level. Ms. J. went for the daily special: Radiatori in Cartoccio, cooked inside a sealed pocket of aluminum foil and opened tableside like a little pasta reveal. Steamy, aromatic, and frankly a bit of a showoff -- in the best possible way. And then there was the Tiramisu. We shared it (heroically), and I'm just going to say it: top-tier tiramisu. Not too sweet, beautifully balanced, rich without being heavy -- one of the best we've had in NYC, and we do not make that claim lightly. We both love tiramisu. We both judge tiramisu. This one passed with stars. Zero nonsense, big flavors, and a tradition that continues to age very well. We'll be back. Obviously. ‍

I really appreciated the soft-boiled egg with its marinated egg whites. I also loved the big tender beef chunks as well. Overall, I really cannot wait to go back to Zhongzhong noodles and I hope that they open up more locations. I will say though that since I last went to the Roosevelt Island location, they have raised their prices quite a bit - maybe $2 or $3 per dish.

I wasn't sure what to expect walking in on my own knowing Enzo's popularity, but I arrived early enough for what could be late lunch/early dinner. The wait staff immediately made me feel welcome, were attentive without hovering, friendly without being overbearing, and struck that perfect balance that makes dining alone feel comfortable. As I expected, the food was outstanding. I ordered the broccoli rabe and sausage in garlic and oil. It was everything I hoped: savory, flavorful, and filling. The slight bitterness of the broccoli rabe paired beautifully with the rich, well-seasoned sausage. I grew up in Danbury, Connecticut and am no stranger to delicious Italian food. Living in the South for as long as I have, it's really hard to find an Italian restaurant down here that can deliver on any pasta dish that doesn't use tomato sauce. Needless to say, this dish was heavenly. For dessert, I ordered an espresso and the lemon gelato, which turned out to be both delicious and memorable. Not only was it incredibly refreshing after the meal, with a bright, authentic lemon flavor, but it was served inside an actual lemon. The presentation was charming and fun, and the gelato itself was smooth, creamy, and the perfect way to end the evening. Between the excellent food, the welcoming atmosphere, and a staff that made a solo diner feel completely at home, Enzo's delivered exactly the kind of experience I was hoping to find on Arthur Avenue. I'll absolutely be back the next time I'm in the city.

It had cheese a lemony dressing with red onions. The only star I knocked off was because we had trouble flagging down a waiter here and there to place our order and get a check, but once we got the waiter we got what we needed quickly. We would return again in the future.

The service and food, on the other hand, were quite a mixed bag. We ordered a margherita pizza, pancake tacos, steak and eggs, and French toast with a side of sausage--the pizza, at least, was good. However, the "French toast" was more like an anemic panini press trying to pass as French toast. The steak and eggs comprised of a fairly well-cooked (that is, it was the right temperature) yet underseasoned steak of a relatively dubious cut, underseasoned home fries, and eggs done wrong (sunny side instead of over easy). The lattermost was the start of the problem, as I was willing to give it a shot, but found the texture off-putting. In light of this, I brought the problem to our server Adalia, who brought it to her manager Elvia. Thankfully I had someone else with me to tell me what happened: Elvia came over without addressing me on their error, silently took a look at my plate and instructed Adalia to have the kitchen put the eggs back on the fire. She takes my plate to extract the eggs, and brings them back (unsurprisingly) completely overdone, first in Elvia's hands, then in Adalia's for her to serve; we send for a refire, and they come back correct 7 minutes or so after I've already finished eating. Considering the hassle it took to get them, I couldn't trust it enough to eat, leading them to waste as well. After all was said and done, the GM Amer comes over to see how things were, and was thankfully helpful and understanding of our situation. Here's the rub: I was initially willing to overlook the steak, the home fries, and even the eggs if the error was properly ameliorated. Adalia and Amer both did very well, and I'm grateful for them for that; Elvia, on the other hand, managed to break the chain of competent customer service by directing the server to handle the problem in a way that was set up for failure (if you mess up an egg, it's an immediate refire because of how the egg cooks in the first place -- Amer also arrested to that policy) all without addressing us and taking accountability, due to negligence or whatever else. Not only that, but when sending the incorrect eggs over the second time, she couldn't even bring it to us herself--it would have been easy, seeing as she was the one that originally had them--and left Adalia and her tip to potentially take the fire if the patrons happen to be angry. Mistakes are fine--everyone makes them--but I'd describe this as cowardly more than anything else, and I take issue with that in particular from a leadership standpoint. While Amer graciously extended an invitation for a better experience next time, I can't say I'll be taking him up on the offer when their service and food are this misaligned; unfortunately, a disappointment overall.
