Hands down the best service I've received in awhile. Michael was very patient and understanding from my first quote months ago. Let him know I was shopping around for quotes for when I moved in a few months. He never did hound me to hire him and he also told me he'd price match if I found anything cheaper. I did find a few places cheaper but I still picked him because first impressions are everything to me. Michael was also very accommodating to my crazy moving schedule. I had to reschedule multiple times due to movers, cleaners, and what not not being available. He always rescheduled for me without any hesitation. Highly recommend this business!! He showed up on time, used a dryer version of carpet cleaning so it will be dry within a couple hours. There was no harsh chemical smell, the carpets look brand new and he said the product used is safe, which matters to me because I have little kids. UPDATE: It's been almost 3 full days since Michael left. My toddler's room stinks of CHLORINE?!?!?! What? I've even been airing the whole house out with windows open and fans on, no help. Every room that was 'cleaned' has crunchy carpet, and the usage of 'cleaner' seems VERY sporadic. Can already see stains coming right back to the surface in some areas. Complete waste of time and money. Please save yourself the hassle! ------------------------ I guess you get what you pay for. Michael was very responsive, with a much cheaper quote than the rest of his competitors. Showed up on time (plus side) with a good attitude, and promised we would have clean & dry carpets in a couple hours. Told him we were concerned with dog urine spots, and some light traffic in my daughters room. It's been 5 hours since he left. My carpets are still wet...any bits that are dry, are crunchy. They STILL smell like urine. The baseboards are covered in dust/hair, and the edges of carpet are full of the same. Michael said he could come back and spray something to help alleviate the odors, but we are choosing to clean them ourselves from here on out. The whole point was having an 'eco' clean, and not spray & go. He also told my husband that our high traffic areas would always look that way......... the carpet is less than 1 year old. read more

I needed a wool area rug cleaned. It was only lightly dirty on the edge, in a high traffic area. The rug cost $800 new. I already had it taken away and cleaned once a few years for $400. I puzzled over how to get it cleaned without overdoing it with a take-away, full-tilt service. I searched on Yelp and got several responses. All but one wanted $400+ to clean the whole rug. I am so pleased with the service I received from Total Carpet Care. I called Mike and left a voicemail and he called me back right away. He set my appointment around my work schedule. A few days later, he showed up on time when he said he would, (which is unheard of nowadays). He did an excellent job! I have a little rat dog who has been peeing on my carpet leaving stains. Michael was prompt about getting a quote to me and letting me know his availability. He gave me a quote for my living room furniture and 2 - 8x10 rugs. I told him my worries about crusty/hard upholstery/rugs and steam on my new SPC flooring. He advised he had me covered with his 29 years of experience. I accepted. He let me know he'd be here between 11-1 and arrived around 11:30. He quickly got to work. (My husband loved him and did not want me to input this review even though he did not do a satisfactory job) Michael was at our house from 11:35 to 1:00. After leaving my husband sent me a photo of one of the rugs. It didn't look like it had even been touched. He said everything else was good. When I got home the other rug was dry but crunchy on my feet. (Which was my worry) it wasn't soft anymore and it had been SUPER soft. But it does appear clean. ‍ My furniture looks like it was spot cleaned? Which is not what I paid for. It is also not as soft anymore (semi soft you could say) and there is still discoloration on the arms of the chairs and other well sat in areas. Michael did call my husband after and told him he could come out on Friday (48 hours later) and attempt to clean the rug again. However, we needed the rug cleaned yesterday as we are moving in and there is a heavy piece of furniture going on top of the rug. So I had to go out and buy a new rug. I did take the old rug to the carwash place and got it clean but now it will take a few days to dry, which is what I was attempting to avoid. read more

I had Michael do my carpet yesterday and he was very reasonable in price. He did spend adequate time cleaning the rug. I was not told how the rug would be cleaned and should have asked. It was a type of cleaning that the dirt was extracted with pads and not a machine that sucks up the dirt and water. It did dry quickly but was not as clean as I hoped for. Michael was fantastic. Once we'd set an appointment, he told me he'd contact me after his earlier appointment and true to his word, he contacted me once he was on his way. He deftly handled the changes to my original request and cleaned each of our carpeted rooms and our couch and love seat. I was initially a little concerned that he wasn't using the traditional truck-mounted extraction method but his method did a great job and dried faster than regular steam cleaning. I will definately use Michael again and have left some of his business cards at work for others to use. BTW, we have four cats and one of them has pancretitus and vomit often. Disappointed. I do my carpets about once a year and the other services seem to make my carpets pop back to life but not this time. I can't recommend because to me when you do a thorough cleaning you use an extractor to actually remove the waste water and particles from the carpets. He communicated with me about estimate, arrival time, chemicals used. BUT NOT method for actual cleaning and if he would be removing debris from carpet. He sprayed a chemical on the carpet that was from what he stated safe for people and pets, brought in all of his "equipment " - small scrubber, pail and a carpet rake. The "cleaning " took about two and half hours. The carpet is older and was already loosing it knap, after the scrubbing it did look significantly better- definitely less worn looking and clean. All the high traffic areas began showing the underlying dirt within 2-3 weeks after cleaning, except for the stairs, we don't wear shoes inside the house. But the hall, and room entrances all show the dirt, if the dirt isn't extracted from the surface of course it will show back up. The cost for approx 600-650 sq ft was $140. read more
