Superb job and much better than other vendors: Total Carpet Care (TCC)was the very best of 10 companies I requested quotes from. I would use them again and I told my neighbor about TCC. 1. With TCC, my carpets dried in 1-2 hours vs competitors who claimed 4-10 hours. TCC did a lot of research to find the best product to use. 2. TCC responded promptly with lower cost compared to other vendors. 3. TCC completed the job first time and within 1.5 hours. TCC was quiet, polite, without the excess equipment. Another company (competitor) came with a long 150' hose and huge machine. in their truck. That competitor left to get other equipment and never returned. So disappointed by the lack of professionalism and customer service. Learned of Total CarpetCare through a Groupon offer I purchased. Made an appointment with Michael (the owner) five weeks into the future, which was then cancelled by him the morning of for "mechanical failures". The owner did not want to reschedule an appointment, because he did not know when the equipment would be repaired. I waited. After one month without contact from Total CarpetCare, I called and left a voice message. Michael called me back within a few hours, and rescheduled our appointment on a date two days later in the week. Everything seemed okay, until today, when Total CarpetCare missed the appointment window of 9-11AM. I've taken the morning off to be home for this appointment, and as of 2PM I have not received any contact from Total CarpetCare to let me know they are running late. And all the info that everyone seems to complain about is very clearly listed either on their web site or on the groupon website. Yes, they will charge more for more spaces than on the groupon, but if you just clarify how many rooms/hallways/stair sections you have, they will give you a quote over the phone. And yes, they won't move furniture. And yes, they do charge extra for pet stains or heavily stained carpet, again, if you are realistic about your carpet condition, they will give you an honest quote. I found them to be very efficient and they did a great job at a really reasonable price. I would recommend them to others and I would use their services again. I wish I could remember the name of the guy who came to our house because he was super friendly and nice. In about an hour and half really brightened the 4 rooms and hallway upstairs. I used this business last spring because they had a $99 Groupon for carpet cleaning of 5 rooms. But when they got to my house, they complained that I never told them how far out I lived and they wanted extra money for gas. My address is Sparks and there is something called Google maps to determine where my house was. Did they not bother to look at that? The Groupon specifically said it was good for "Reno, Sparks, Carson City, Minden, Gardnerville, Dayton, and Fernley." Did they tell the same thing to customers in Gardernville and Fernley? Anyway, I had 3 bedrooms I needed cleaned and one flight of stairs. I don't even have 5 rooms worth of carpet. But they wouldn't do the stairs without tacking on another charge. The guy said "it's 5 areas, not stairs." That was not specified in the Groupon -- that stairs were not included. So I gave them some extra cash for gas and the stairs because I needed to have it done, but I felt ripped off. The only reason they get 1 star is because they were fast and their quality of work was fine. But I wanted to warn others not to use the Groupon for Total Carpet Care. Use your money for something else. I can't even find an address for this company. The phone number is the one on the Groupon that I used to make the appointment. read more

I am really surprised at the reviews here! I found Total Carpet Care on Groupon while looking for someone to do a move-out cleaning in Reno. It was urgent because I needed to be out that week and waited until the last minute to book carpet cleaning. He was able to get me in that week, and honored the Groupon price without me having to actually purchase the Groupon. He came within the hour that he said he would, and the carpet looked great!
