Not only did I get my documents shredded, but she was also able to be take some electronics that I needed to be recycled, thus saving me a trip to the Miramar Landfill station. I've been going to TSS for 2 years now...found them online and so glad I tried them out. I don't accumulate much paperwork to shred with things going electronic now, I just have a box in the house of things to shred and once it gets full I go down to TSS (usually once a year). It's off a Hancock st. behind the Sports Arena. Parking is minimal, you can snag a spot in their driveway which has space for 2 cars, or in front of the business there is a color-curb good for a few minutes (that's all you need though). No appt needed, I never had a wait. Walk inside the small office...watch out there is a easy-to-miss step that could be a toe-stubber! Once inside there is someone to greet at the counter and help you out. I just tell them I have my stuff to shred and they ask if I would like to watch it being shred (which I do, just for peace of mind). You walk behind the counter and up to a small window and get front row viewing to see your documents get turned into confetti. They shred as is, sealed envelopes, stapled, paperclips...so easy! They can do CDs as well but you have to separate it out. I also found out they started doing computer hard drives too, which is awesome and I will have to try next visit. They charge by the box and are nice enough to provide prices on their website. You can do mobile shredding (they come to you), pickup, or drop off to see in person (I do this one). This is definitely the pain-free way of shredding, because they can shred envelopes I just toss junk mail in the pile and not have to open it. After you're done, you even get a certificate to show it was destroyed. Great service that I trust to shred my docs. read more

LOOOOVE this place!!! My bro found this place a couple of years ago and we've been taking our stuff here ever since! They make it so easy! Just fill up your box and bring it in! You can watch them shred it on site (for greater piece of mind). If I remember correctly, they charge like $5 bucks a box. So now I just keep a box at home and toss all those junk credit card mailings, etc in.... and then once its full, take it on down to be shredded. I don't even bother opening up the junk mail anymore. Just toss the whole envelope in. I found out last time I was there, that they do CD's too... but you'd just have to set it aside separately to be shredded into a different area. NICEEEEE! This place wasn't easy to find. The address is a bit misleading, so watch out. You have to enter from Ruffner Street into the rear of the building. I was dropping of 3 large banker boxes. The attendant was super nice. He ask if I wanted to witness the destruction. I opted for no, since the documents were super old. Anyway, the price was right, and very competitive to other shredding services. Will definitely come here again. I was also informed they do scanning. Mike is a professional business owner that doesn't cut corners and so is the perfect guy to own and operate a shredding business since it involved a lot of trust from the customer's end. A lot of people don't realize that he also can take care of your hard drives from an old computer. Cool!!! I am doing my spring cleaning early this year. I took a big bag of documents..old taxes, client files... They shredded them right in front of me, the whole experience took 10 minutes. But best of all, it cost me six bucks to do it. It would have taken me 6 hours to do all of this on my home shredder, assuming it held up to that kind of loading.
