Love this place! Basically an adult candy store with reasonable prices. I come here for some of my Craft Beer needs. When I say some, I mean they don't always have what I need in stock unless they get a whole bunch. Scenario 1: BCBS the day after Halloween, I can always get it for $10, never a problem. Scenario 2: KBS, always out. When one of the supervisors told me to come back the same Saturday since they were getting another 3 cases in, they were still out. I am not sure if there is a secret society to get these rare beers. What I love: Can always find coupons for some $ off when purchasing $50 or $100. Just sign up for their newsletter. Honestly kinda upset at todays customer service at the register. Teresa the one "working" the cash register could care less about assisting us when we asked if they had the Woodford bourbon infused black cherries. She looked like she just wanted to charge us and move on to the next customer. Then we asked if she had gotten our number for the rewards program like she was ASKING EVERYONE else and she brushed us off like she didn't understand what we were talking about. Stocked up before the lockdown! My husband helped me pick a variation of sweet red wines & maraschino cherries. We took advantage of the special price on 6 wine bottles. I was a little disappointed that this store doesn't carry the San Antonio Wine Company brand. But, a store clerk was helpful & informed us that IL Duca Imperial wine brand is sister company with San Antonio wine company. So, I'm looking forward to trying the IL Duca Imperial brand & the other red wines I got. I'm absolutely in love with the premium Luxardo brand maraschino cherries made in Italy. Wow! We also picked up mexican beer. Unfortunately, this place doesn't maintain their beer refrigerator that cold. This store is very impressive inside. Wow and Wow, it a xmas morning feeling. The selection is incredible. Very knowledgeable staff and they have beautiful things to look at even if you don't drink. I needed to pick up some beer & wine for future use, so I came here, it was on the way home. I walked in around 10am, I knew where everything was, but I needed to shop for some wine I haven't tried yet. I must have passed 4 employees, they have this odd freakin stare when you approach them, like they are not really into helping you. Not one employee said, is there something I can help you with? NOTHING, NADA! Not rude, but you can tell it is really poor management and the employees are not happy working there, really sad...the only employee that seemed cheerful was the cashier, Megan, very helpful. read more

Today my boyfriend, his cousin & brother (Latinos) went all the way to Long Beach to go buy some moonshine. & when they were checking out they said that they had to Id all of them. When only 2 of them were purchasing. Mind you all of them are over 21. My boyfriends brother didn't have his Id on him, but again let me make this clear he wasn't going to purchase anything. So they refused to sell anything to them. Yet right before them only 1 out of the 2 white customers got id. The fact that they really refused to sell anything at all to them just because 1 of the 3 didn't have Id on them is disgusting. Total wine & more do better! read more

I've been to a few locations and if you're over 21 but look young for your age get ready to feel like a criminal. It seems like the employees and cashiers go out of their way to make you feel like you don't belong. This is especially true if you're a person of color. I went in with my boyfriend to get some champagne for our 3 year anniversary. At least 3 employees watched us, asked if we needed help, and reviewed the section after we walked along. The cashier only acted friendly to us after he reviewed BOTH of our I.D.'s even though I was the only one purchasing. I recommend you research what you want to buy, read the signs to navigate, grab what you need, and head to the checkout AS FAST AS POSSIBLE. Go alone if you can, or prepare everyone with you to show I.D. Or better yet avoid this place all together! read more

I like the vast selection of wines offered by Total Wine. This location is well organized and very well stocked. It's easy to feel overwhelmed by all the choices. I had a question about Spanish wines but couldn't find anyone to ask. There was one employee in a nearby aisle but she was obviously being held hostage by a couple of wine novices who had a bazillion questions. So, in a bit of a hurry, I chose a couple of central coast cabernets and a random Spanish tempranillo and headed to checkout. The cashier was very nice and immediately started recommending other tempranillos; wish I was getting that info before I got to check out! But now I know for my next visit. They also carry cigars, hard liquor, chocolate and snacks. All the essential nutrients needed for the weekend. read more

WoW!!! This place is most definitely my new go to spot for all my craft beers, liquor and wine! They have a LARGE selection of all your favorite poisons and some you probably have never even heard of. The staff is very attentive and know their stuff. With the crazy amount of craft beers, liquor and wine they carry, you're bound to have some questions and the staff is very helpful. I had plenty of questions which they were able to answer and they also provided several great recommendations. There is a tasting area where you can sample some of their wines so you can try before you buy which is pretty cool. And, they offer a Mix & Match 6 deal where you can get either 6 of the same thing or any 6 qualifying bottles for a reduced price. The prices are pretty reasonable here but if you take advantage of that Mix & Match 6 deal, the prices are even better! It's conveniently located in the Long Beach Town Center right off the 605 FWY, Carson Blvd exit. Total Wines and More is located right next to Ashley's Furniture. Plenty of parking! read more

Tons of wine, spirits, and beer. My dream come true lol. Honestly though they usually have what I'm looking for, and if not I can always try something new that is recommended by one of their employees. So as far as customer service I will say it is hit and miss. The reason I say its hit and miss is because I've had employees who are super helpful from finding my specific bottle, to giving me recommendations, to super friendly and funny cashiers. Then I've had times when they see me looking and don't even bother to acknowledge me or ask if i need any help, to cashiers who literally only say one word to me. Now I'm not saying I need every employee to have full on conversations with me, but at least be friendly and helpful to your paying customers. I have also placed orders on their app and its pretty convenient. Two things though, If you need it day of your probably better off going in store because they usually will have it ready next day even if you place it early in the morning. Also if their inventory says low stock you wont be able to place it for pickup. I have gone in when it says low stock and the shelf was fully stocked, so i don't know if their system just takes a while to update or what he problem is but that can sometimes be annoying. So besides those few problems I have, this is still one of my go to places when i need to pick up a bottle, or just want to browse around a pick up a random new bottle of alcohol. read more

Although this location has a vast selection and some competitive prices on certain brands, my reason for just one star was the incredibly poor, rude and customer service by the cashier/sales associate Tjara! She needs to be sent to customer service etiquette training. When I requested a specific bottle of Don Julio 1942 Alma Miel that is not kept on their isle selection which I clearly conveyed to her and she clearly stated no problem with proceeding to obtain this from a shelved area near the cashiers section. She ended up bring me a bottle of Don Julio 1942 that I definitely should have checked prior to leaving the store that in fact it was what I had requested and I take responsibility for not doing this. Upon observing this prior to driving away, I returned to the store and advised Tjara that she gave me the incorrect bottle. Her immediate response was with a rude attitude and she replied "you said 1942", not the fact that I clearly said the entire name of the bottle "Don Julio 1942 Alma Miel"! She then raised her voice and rudely walked away making comments that could not be understood and when I attempted to engage with her about the issue she looked back, gave me a look of disgust and kept walking away. Luckily Matthew who I presume was one of the mangers promptly resolved and exchanged the return. Tjara, it is okay to make mistakes as we all, including myself make them daily but at least be more professional or seek another form of employment where you don't have to deal with customers! read more

I really like this location! Great selections and awesome deals! I've always come here for a bottle or 2 lol... but mainly because they have such a great variety of beers, wines and hard liquor. The prices always beat your normal competitors. I do like how they have chips, pretzels and Chex mix now as a snack isle so it's your one stop destination. I love total wine. The alcohol is a lot cheaper then Bevmo. They are very strict with being 21 and over so you can't bring in your brother or friend who isn't 21 or else they won't sell the alcohol to you. Long Beach, CA location. I was very impressed and happy with how this location handled a situation. I placed an order online with delivery (I paid for delivery and plus a tip for a door dash). Whoever was assembling the order, didn't pay close attention to details and put two bottles of a wrong size (smaller) into the box. I called the store, emailed them the pictures. They called me back immediately with apologies. They sent their associate, who delivered to me two right bottles, plus one more bottle as a gift, for inconvenience and they even credited me money for the delivery of online order. All this was done fast, with good vibes and vey nice communication. Goes for sure that I will be ordering again. Thank you, guys! Great service. I go to TWM almost once a month. Service and selection have always been good to very good. Today, December 30, the service was outstanding. The store was very busy what with NYE parties tomorrow night. But they had employees everywhere; on the floor approaching customers to offer help in finding goods, and in all (it at least almost all?) cashier lanes open. Every employee was friendly. I got in and out very quickly. It helped immensely that I'd already chosen my goods online, via the app. I just needed help finding them. One minor ding: I could not see any labels indicating bay numbers. If I could I would but have needed any help at all, as the aisle and bay numbers are shown online. She was really nice and even said happy belated birthday. We came here on Thanksgiving Eve with hopes of purchasing some Roscato and Rosa Regale. We grabbed a basket and quickly found the area for sparkling wines. I noticed small bottles of what we wanted but not large bottles. My husband and I searched for a while before starting to walk the store for assistance. There were two ladies at the tasting area. One lady was sampling sake. I asked her for help and she said her partner (the lady sampling wine right next to her) could assist me. The lady sampling wine, Patti, was chatting with another store patron. My husband and I sampled the vodka and the proceeded to patiently wait for our turn at the wine counter. We waited a few minutes and then told the sake lady that we would come back when the coast was clear. The tasting area is very small and we felt awkward standing so close to the lady drinking wine. As soon as we browsed back down the sparkling wine aisle, the tasting area was vacant of customers. Patti make a comment to the effect of, "I imagine that you've already made your donation if you tried the sake." She then proceeded to get two wine glasses and start the first tasting. I took this opportunity to show the small bottles of wine that I had and request help finding the large bottles. Patti took out her handheld device and scanned each bottle, she said the bottles are in alphabetical order and they should be in the sparkling wine section. I told her that we couldn't find them in that area, and she said she may help us find the bottle. When we were on our second tasting, two other women were patiently waiting behind my husband and I to try the wine. This time Patti welcomed them both over to sample. (Funny because my husband and I were waiting patiently behind the single women tasting wine and Patti did not even acknowledge our existence). I tried to rush through the tasing but it was taking forever since Patti was now servicing two separate parties. We left the tasting and went back to the sparkling wine section. We saw an employee, Scott, assisting another customer. Scott let us know that he'd help us out once he finished with the other customer. True to his word, Scott came to help us just a couple of minutes later. He located the wine we wanted in overstock. He made sure all of our needs were met. The line to check out was kind of long. Then there was an error ringing up our little bottle of roscato. Apparently they are only sold in packs of three but we only saw singles on the shelf. 5 stars for Scott and his amazing service. I found Patti to be rude and not helpful. She completely ignored us at the tasting table until there was literally no one else there. When someone else came, they received more attention than us. Came here a week ago to get some supplies for a dinner party. I had the worst experience with the manager. I don't even want to replay it as it will just upset me all over again. It sucks because I have been a fan of Total Wine for many years and they do have a good selection at reasonable prices. However, I would rather pay more money and go to a local liquor store than deal with incompetent and rude employees. While I love this store and the employees that are helpful I do have a complaint. Today they were doing whisky tastings. I was actually there to buy whisky. I was in the aisle looking at the whisky choices with a few gentlemen. The young man offering the whisky tasting came into the aisle and offered all The MEN in the aisle to walk over for the tasting. I have been a long time customer of total wine in Long Beach Town Center, on Carson. I have to say, it has really deteriorated. Repeatedly the posted prices are not what they charge at the check out and the cashier tells me the bottle must have been in the wrong spot. She also gives me coupons that have already expired. Today I made a purchase that should have been around $45.0 but when I got to the check out it ended up being $85 "because the bottle must have been in the wrong place and received an already outdated coupon. This is now happening pretty regularly, enough so that I am going to shop elsewhere. The coupons are a joke and the service has become terrible. Additionally, they usually have only 1, sometimes 2 checkers open, so the wait can be long. This company has gone down hill and seems no one is managing the staff or the promotions. They are extremely helpful. We needed alcohol for our wedding, and they gave us very good suggestions well within our budget. They also don't try to overquote you like most people, and everyone is knowledgeable and polite. They ended up predicting a bit less than we probably needed, but we clearly underestimated how many hard our guests could party... Specifically, we worked with Joel, Diego, and Phil. This place is rip-off. Prices are high across the board. No bargains here. But out of convenience I have spent plenty of money here. But, last Sunday was the last straw. I went to use a coupon only valid for french wines. With a tone of fine print yada yagah. Take my $90 bottle of champagne to purchase and...Sorry sir this is only valid on winery direct. Hmmm!!! Well it turns out the wine was under the wrong shelf label. But that is not the only time I had an issue using a reward coupon. In fact, I've had a number of issues, like defaulting to mix6 when trying to use a 20% off purchase, Prices not coming up correct. Heck a few of my wine friends were along when the bill did not add-up. 10 minutes to figure out the stips, exceptions, etc. two cases of wine were left on the counter - and out the door we walked. I don't know why I give this place any credence. It may be the reason why I spend 4-5 figures on wine elsewhere. In the end, I'm looking for a fair price, fair service, and an unconvoluted way to redeem any rewards without 32 layers of stipulations in 5 pitch fonts (so much for making the fine print accessible - can I say ADA!!!) So I walked into a local high end market and picked my bottle of Billecard Salmon brut rose for a buck more than the coupon price. No muss or fuss Never again. read more

Everyone is always so friendly, helpful and nice, although their prices might be slightly higher than other places I'm ok with that, the wide variety of beer and liquor they have along with the exceptional customer service is worth it. I attended the Wines of Italy class on 8/11/22. The class was fantastic and the selection of wines was really good. The charcuterie plate was excellent. Scott led the class and did a fantastic job. I love all the managers in here but notice allot of changes and new faces lately.. and Friday 06/17/22 after spending Almost 280.00 and was tryn to scan out my rewards for my magazine and bags. We had an unfamiliar manager or team leader black female telling us to make sure we delete the email/ rewards like we're tryn to get over on which we're like who are you because we come into this store at least twice a week and know everyone there.. I felt a Lil profiled because we're black but understand there are people who may be tryn to get over but we spend a minimum of 200.00 to 500.00 a month.. so we felt a Lil disappointed.. whenever we see the good guys like Justin and Christina always doing a awesome job.. we're Elated..
