My new favorite liquor store! It's been a while and I'm finally giving them their due. Their selection while not huge is all the best of the best. The owner and workers are all very friendly. There is ample parking and street parking. They frequently do barrel picks which have all been great. I just wish they were close to me. I used to walk in here with my dad all the time for years growing up as a kid since he'd stop here to buy a lotto ticket on the way home, but I just came back finally again after years of not going in and couldn't believe at how much nicer inside this place looks compares to before! I don't recall if it was always "US Liquor" but either way, this space has changed from a jankier liquor store to a nicer spot! The service here was really friendly on my past visit as well! This liquor store is wonderful. The cashier that helped us might be the owner; I'm not sure, but he was the sweetest guy. The store is decorated with real plants including a fiddle leaf fig tree...!!!! I walked in and I was amazed. They sell cigarettes and hard liquor too, and lottery tickets. There's a walk-in beer cooler on the side. We found an American beer made in Michigan (my boyfriend likes to try out -of-state beers). I saw goose island, strawberry rhubarb, sparkle, and a ton of pale and sour ale. Beer drinkers - this is your place. Wine too. This is a hidden gem in the Long Beach area! We stopped here on a whim, and were very impressed with their wall of whiskey displayed nicely behind the counter. Everything is organized and nicely displayed - no need to go digging to find what you're looking for. They had a couple of allocated bourbons as well as a lot of craft beer (including some from my favorite local brewery, The Bruery!) for fair prices. It's great when the people running the liquor store are drinkers as well - that's why we came back the next day and picked up a few more bottles. Everyone was friendly and easy to talk to! In addition to the great selection, I felt very safe here. They followed all COVID safety guidelines, wear masks correctly, and have people line up outside if it gets too crowded. The best liquor store in town! It is a family owned business and they are all welcoming and friendly- owner Steven and Devon, and their employees Alex, Brian and Uncle Ed! I've been coming here for a few years since I moved to Long Beach. They have become like my family! Unlike other liquor stores (most of them), they always greet each customer. They have great bourbon picks, and their pricing is great! And the beer cave is awesome, especially during the hot summer. As an avid bourbon whiskey connoisseur, it's hard to find liquor stores that sell sought after bourbons at fair prices. That being said, US Liquor is a hidden gem in Long Beach! They had a great selection of bottles, included a bunch that I have been looking for. I'm glad I popped in one night and purchased all their Elijah Craig mini bottles for stocking stuffers. I went back the next day to find a bottle of Knob Creek 12 year, which just got named whiskey of the year by Breaking Bourbon and they had it at a very fair price. Both of the Steven's are customer service oriented and want to deliver the best prices for the best whiskeys. I will always support a liquor store that doesn't support the secondary pricing mark-up! Don't be fooled by the location or the exterior; this place is a hidden gem. For a craft beer lover such as myself, I am lucky to have a local establishment that i can support that makes me so happy. They always carry the most hard to find craft beer and the owners are super knowledgeable. They stay up to date with the latest trends. Beer is kinda on the higher side of things. $10 for a single beer for the bottles hand crafted beer and when the guy that works here has no idea if any are good or not is a bit ridiculous.
