For those who are lucky to have a Total Wine somewhere close know, that after setting foot into one, you almost never want to shop at Bev Mo again. The sense of scale, in this case, massive, overwhelms the senses because from floor to ceiling, almost, towering displays topped by boxes of backstock makes craning your neck to take it all in necessary. The variety of everything is amazing, especially in the Spirits aisles where sizes of bottles for famous and start-up brands of damn near everything provides excellent value for someone stocking a bar at home or trying to assemble ingredients, some more like elusive unicorns, to make or recreate a favorite cocktail. Top shelf quality but almost any budget can be accommodated. Accessories are also an impressive aspect of this and other locations. Glassware, as many know, can almost be as important for drinks as the preparation. Lots of gift ideas can be had just browsing. Wine: The raison d'être of this brand is what got them famous. A massive selection of white, red, rosé, champagne and sparkling et al., especially domestic are found at every location. Their app becomes useful for price checks and quantities available (hint hint). While browsing the French and Italian aisles I noticed that some older vintages stick around here. Not that they're bad, but sometimes it could be the prices that could have been raised progressively the further from original release they get. This is primarily true for famous regional wines, such as Brunello di Montalcino. Nevertheless, I saw some great deals and wines not carried at my favorite OC shops. Term: Vertical Flight means tasting a particular wine in two or more consecutive vintages to compare the effects of climate change, for instance, and how a given producer mitigated the damaging heat and lack of rain year-to-year. Cigars: I like the smell of humidors and browsing the selection at shops that bother to store them correctly (e.g. temperature roughly 68-75° and about the same percentage of humidity to replicate growing conditions. Prices range from just under $10 to well over $20, depending on size, brand, and Cigar Affecionado rating. I needed more butane for my lighter and was happy to acquire a can on the recent visit. Overall, unless you are searching for more obscure wines you are likely to find Total Wine a one-stop place to shop. Look for sales and use an account in their app to accumulate points to offset future purchases. Tip: Keep in mind that sales tax in Pasadena is an obscene 10.25% so consider that before buying something pedestrian or common. However, given gas prices lately, the time-distance-money ratio should be considered. Horrible experience at this location. Complete discrimination based off my occupation and kicked out of the store!! A few of my friends and I went to shop for some new ingredients to make cocktails at home and enjoy our evening. The worker there came to speak to us and he asked if we were bartenders, through conversation we said yes we work in the industry and were looking for some new things to go home and make drinks and have a lovely time with friends. He automatically told us we weren't allowed buy any alcohol there because we work in the bar industry! How can you discriminate because of work somewhere, you can't assume I'm buying for bar and refuse us service all because we shared what we do for a living. I first tried the Total Wine in Northridge before realizing that this location is much closer to me. What's not to love? You can select your wines online, place your order, drive over and park by the store to receive your delivery. The selection is outstanding, the prices are great, and the service is fantastic. It's interesting in these pandemic times that I've reviewed two wine outlets without having set foot in either one and honestly got the best service ever. Variety is awesome as well: I've been getting into non-alcoholic wines for health reasons and found a great non-alcoholic sparkling wine on their list. (Their website totally rocks, btw...totalwine.com. Discounts are offered if you mix and match six wines.) Here's hoping curbside pickup lives long after this blasted pandemic is over. I recently had a frustrating experience at the Total Wine drive-through pickup. Someone parked in the designated curbside pickup spot but wasn't actually using the service. To make matters worse, they walked to their car to get their order and gave me a smirk, adding to the frustration. It's these kinds of actions that make curbside pickup more difficult for everyone. I hope you can address this issue to improve the service for all customers. Other than this total wine, the customer service is great. They bring out your order very quickly. I'm incredibly disappointed by the service I received at Total Wine & More on Colorado Blvd. My interaction with Andrea (cashier 101208) was shockingly unprofessional. She seemed to have an attitude from the start, and her behavior made what should've been a routine transaction feel uncomfortable and demeaning. I understand that people may have off days, but the level of disrespect was unacceptable. She didn't even bother reading out my total and upon asking for a manager, Andrea denied my request. As a customer, I expect to be treated with basic courtesy, and this experience fell far below even the most minimal standards of customer service. What's most surprising is that I've never encountered this kind of interaction, not even in fast-food establishments. I would expect more from a store like Total Wine & More, where the focus is on providing a positive customer experience. I sincerely hope management takes this review seriously, as employees like Andrea are certainly not the type of representatives any company would want at the front lines. They have all types of liquor here! I love their big selection of craft beers. This time around, I came in looking for a particular beer that no other place seemed to have sold. Luckily, they had it here. The staff was great. They are very helpful in finding anything you're looking for. Well, I never thought I'd be reviewing a Total Wine & More but here we are. I was in the area this morning when I passed TW&M and thought "I guess I can stop in and pick up something to treat myself to later" around 8:30am, so I pulled into their parking lot and was browsing Yelp as I waited for them to open. I look up for the first time 20 minutes later and see a group of people waiting around the entrance for them to open like it's a damn Costco and I, without thinking, wondered what level of alcoholic waits outside of a TW&M for them to open on a Sunday morning, as I got out of my car on this Sunday morning to go into the finally-open TW&M. I take one step into the store and all four employees by the door turn to me and enthusiastically call out, "GOOD MORNING," with what I am sure were smiles under their masks, as if greeting people at 9am was a regular occurrence for them. Every time I come here, there's always an employee who sees me wandering and kindly directs me to where they think I want to go, and it usually ends up being correct. Aside from when I come here with no expectations, wanting to try new items, I also come here for various seasonal offerings, and in times where I'm looking for something very specific that I know won't be at a local grocery store. Their displays always look cute and well-organized, and the store is always clean. They even have a wedding dress on a mannequin for one of their modest Prosecco displays, and if that isn't the most extra thing you've seen recently, you must not live in Pasadena. Anyway, regardless of the fact there aren't any other TW&Ms within a reasonable distance from me, I choose to come here over other liquor stores because I know they will likely always have what I'm looking for, and the customer service is great. Love this location! It's right off Colorado and has a good sized parking lot at the main entrance in the back. This is one of the nicer Total Wine stores in the area and we love it! The store is super clean and organized, usually pretty well stocked, too. There is a big variety of other spirits, alcohol, snacks, gifts and merchandise. Make sure to go into the cold beer and kegs area, it's COOL!! They have ready to go cooled kegs, beers, ciders and drinks. Everything is very well placed and labeled. Aisles are clearly marked. They also have a humidor to keep the cigars fresh and ready to go. There is a big variety of cigars. The service here is great! They have a few Customer Service stations for assistance. There's a convenient order ahead and pick up available or delivery for some items. They also have wine classes for a small fee. These are super fun! Great selection, although I'd like to see more imports from Australia which is BOOMING with fantastic breweries. Try Moffat Beach Brewing Co, they are winning tons of awards, Brouhaha make fantastic sours, Hawkers, Seeker, etc. Great distilleries too - First Nations owned organic distillery BeachTree Distilling are now supplying Qantas - their bottles are beautiful too. Their Lemon Myrtle gin is to die for, they also now make a lemon Myrtle liqueur. Never Never make several great gins. I've been coming to this Total Wine & More location quite a bit more after finding out their tequila selection is quite extensive. I'm pretty impressed how good the customer service is here. More recently, I've been drinking a bit more tequila rather than scotch. The associates here are quite knowledgeable and experienced in spirits providing suggestions and knowledge about notes and taste of spirits. Had a horrible experience at this location. My sister was paying for her drink and the cashier asked for my ID which I would understand since we're buying alcohol. But I don't understand why my other sister who already paid at a different lane and was by the door was being asked for her ID. If the store or any employee had an issue that myself or my sisters looked under age this should have been addressed at the door or was we were walking the store. When ask why, the cashier said it was policy even though my sister had already paid for her purchase. I usually go to the Northridge location since it is closer, but being I was in the area we stopped in on Saturday afternoon. The parking is a little tight...could be because of the other businesses around there or just because of the time of year. We got a spot and went in and I could see that the layout was much more compact than the Northridge location, but also has tons of different wines, beers, and spirits. We had gotten a nice Chardonnay we tired out before called Unamine from Mascota vineyards in Argentina, this was a 2018 vintage and was really great with a nice buttery finish. We picked up a bottle of that and then a couple of six-packs of a winter brew from a microbrew in NoCal, the microbrew is called Winterbrau and it is also really good and hard to find, but we got both there. I love Total Wine. The store has such an excellent selection of beer, wine, & spirits. I never leave empty handed because there is always something new and exciting to try. I also love their wine classes and am so thrilled that they are back! I'm not an expert by any means. In fact, when it comes to wine I'm a bit of a novice. However, I have learned so much from the wine classes in regard to appearance, aromas, structure, tannins, acidity, body, and finish. However, I stopped by today by the store as I usually do and right away I was offered help. The reason I'm leaving a 2 star review , was because there was a manager with a clipboard supervising the employees at the line of registers. As I was waiting for an employee to be free, the manager Liz spoke in a very condescending tone telling me to pick a line. I strongly suggest that she gets re-trained on her customer skills because no customer or employee should have to deal with that. I had to ask an employee for her name because she was not wearing a name tag, which was unprofessional. As a manager I expected her to be welcoming and setting an example for her employees. This store boasts an incredible selection of beer, wine & spirits and it is almost impossible to leave the store without a purchase. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, and after repeat visits, they remember your name and the type of wine you purchase, which creates a wonderful sense of familiarity. That feeling is further instilled if you are fortunate enough to attend one of the monthly wine tastings in their wine education room, as the staff really create a sense of community at the store. The fee for the wine tasting is very reasonable, the room itself is beautiful to sit in, and TW always provides snacks during the tasting. The selection of wines for the tasting is amazing, not to mention it's a ton of fun to learn about new wines that you may not have tried! (and if you don't have time or can't get into a class, check out their nickel winetasting table!!) All I can say is this place is like a candy store for adults! Was able to find a bottle of Frank Sinatra's Whiskey here for my husbands graduation gift when he returns in a couple of months. Granted, a week later when I called back to get another bottle, they were sold out as well. But still...I scored when I was there! This place looks nice but has terrible terrible service! We were buying individual cans of tonic water that were clearly marked w individual pricing but the cashier accused us of taking them out of a pack. When we asked them to come with us to see the spot these were being sold the cashier ignored us and called her supervisor who said it's ok to charge us for the individual cans but without telling us he charged us extra for buying them. If we hadn't looked at the check out screen we would have never known. When we told them they were overcharging us and asked them to come with us to see where these were being sold the cashier again ignored us and went to another manager who finally walked with me to see and once she realized we were right about the price she still didn't apologize and instead said to my husband "there I am giving you $15 credit ". We were shocked and my husband actually thanked her but as we left and saw the receipt it was just a 15% off coupon!!! What a lier and massively passive aggressive women!! Highly recommend skipping this place and going to the many other wine/more stores in Pasadena!!! Do you think we will be going back for the 15% off?!! read more

Honestly, this is probably my favorite store. I always try to stay under budget and maybe I've done that a handful of times, lmao. This is where the old Office Depot used to be. I was skeptical that it was going to turn into a wine store and actually avoided it for a while. I finally was curious enough to check it out and wow! First off, they have aisles upon aisles of different liquors. If you want vodka, there's a whole aisle dedicated to it. You want whiskey, there's another aisle dedicated to it. There are a ton of wine to choose from to! You want Italian wine? Got it. You want French wine? Got it. You want chardonnay? Can't stop, won't stop. The staff is super friendly and social distancing guidelines are strongly enforced. They will also help you with whatever you need and make recommendations. They have a great beer selection as well! Hours are a guideline don't rely on them! Staying nearby at Westin. Online hours stated they close at 10pm on Thursdays. Showed up at store 9:46pm to grab a bottle of wine and sparkling water, but couldn't get in. Double checked my eyes and phone that the posted hours *on the door the employee was locking, while making eye contact with us* stated they close at 10pm. Mind you a customer was leaving the store at the exact time we showed up, so this was a guy's conscious effort to lock the doors on us immediately upon this customer's departure. It's not a bridal shop or a restaurant, it's a liquor store. Even if you're closing up after 10 o'clock hits, tell us to be speedy if you think we're somehow the kind of people who can't decide on booze in 5 minutes. But after this experience I can confidently say I'll never go to a Total Wine again, here or elsewhere. read more
