One of the worst retail service experiences I've had in a long time. Total Wine clearly prides itself on having endless shelves, but apparently not enough staff who care to help customers. I stood on the sales floor for **a full ten minutes**--not browsing, not wandering--clearly waiting for assistance. Multiple employees walked right past me, made eye contact, and still didn't bother to ask if I needed help. This wasn't a busy rush. This wasn't understaffed chaos. This was pure indifference. When you're selling products that customers often *need guidance on*, ignoring them is unacceptable. The attitude here felt like: *figure it out yourself or don't bother us.* If I wanted to be treated like an inconvenience, I'd shop online--at least then I wouldn't be actively ignored in person. For a store that markets itself as knowledgeable and customer-focused, the service was shockingly poor. Ten minutes of standing there with no acknowledgment is not just bad service--it's disrespectful. I won't be wasting my time here again when there are plenty of places that actually value their customers. read more

My husband loves this store. You can lose many hours just walking around calling out names of things that we will never try (most likely). The store is super stocked, clean, organized and they have great employees. And the samplers! Overall it's a great place. The holidays are near so enjoy the options are endless. Total Wine never disappoints at home in Texas or here in PNS. Crystal in wine is rock solid gold. Today I left my phone in a cart out front. I was back in less than ten minutes but a shopper had taken the cart into the store to shop. The whole staff went on a search of the store. We kept ringing it as we drove away and finally an employee found it ringing on a shelf and answered it! That is extraordinary customer service er service. Love you guys! read more

My husband and I visit Total Wine and More in Pensacola to pick up alcohol for our daughters wedding. We had some questions and were directed to STEPHANIE who was absolutely amazing at helping us with our wine and liquor selections as well as how much would be needed per the number of guest in our price range. GRANT helped is check out and even though it was ALOT he made the transaction very smooth and fast. STEPHANIE even helped is load everything into our car. Total wine is not as totally great as Wine World. They both have a great selection of wines & the prices are pretty much the same. However, Wine world has this place beat bc it has pizza. Let's face it, pizza gives Wine World its edge. Especially when your hungry & you can actually sit down there & drink wine, with said pizza. However, I have to give it to Total Wine for having the best selection of French Champagne & Bordeaux. OuiOui. Will Return. read more

Good experience overall, the store is brand new with TONS to offer...to include a cigar room! But as the first review stated, when purchasing ANYTHING expect to get an ID check. Purchased a wine opener, that was all, and yes had to show ID for that. Found it interesting since I've been to total wines before in other states thus I don't know if it's a new policy, probationary policy for new stores, or some FL law. read more

The best store in all of Pensacola, great selection, good prices, great music and friendly staff

It's not close to us but when we go to Atlanta we always stock up for our bar because their prices are amazing!

I went in trying to find a bourbon that I would enjoy. I got the attention of a polite young associate who appeared to be busy stocking the shelves. His name is Joe. I had already put a bottle of Woodford in my buggy. I asked him for his opinion of it and other brands. He went into a very detailed description of four bourbons and their different characteristics and he steered me to the Old Forester brand. I accepted his recommendation and bought a jug handle of it. I went home and poured me a shot on the rocks. I love it! I appreciate his time and expertise. You guys seem to do a good job of training your associates. read more

Disneyland for drinkers. There is no place that comes close to the selection and service at these stores.

I would not recommend this store at all. Go to ABC Liquors right down the road instead. My friend and I walked into the store and were immediately targeted by the manager who gave us a dirty look. As we were browsing, another lady comes up to us and asks for our ID's, while the manager who gave us a dirty look stood at the end of the isle watching us. We gave her our ID's, she checked them, and then we went to another isle. We then saw the first man go and talk to the cashier, I'm guessing he told her to actually scan our ID's. When she did, she also wrote down the last 4 digits of our DL numbers on a piece of paper. We are obviously 21. If we were using fake ID's, why on earth would we go to a wine store to buy hard cider instead of going to a gas station to get white claws. We were watched like hawks and followed around the store by the staff the entire time we were in there just because we are younger. Extremely rude staff, do not recommend this store. EDIT - after reading more recent reviews it is clear that this is a common occurrence with the staff and customers at this store. Total Wine clearly needs to address this issue as it is a reoccurring problem ruining your customers experience at what could be nice store. read more

If I could rate 0 stars I would. Horrible experience. Me(21) my sister(23) her boyfriend (23) and my 2 month old nephew were walking around the plaza looking for something to do. We had already been to five below and DSW. When we all decided to go in, we weren't greeted by anyone. Not really caring, we carried on with our visit. My sisters boyfriend had to use the bathroom so he asked a staff member where the toilet is. He told me they looked him up and down and asked him if he was with anyone. Not knowing why she asked this he answered truthfully and the lady told him to take her to us. He patiently asked what that had to do with him using the bathroom and she demanded it. Once the lady got there, she asked us all for our ID. Once we handed her our ids she looked me up and down And asked "do you expect me to believe this fake Id?" When I told her to look at the holographics she believed me but tried to kick us out because of my baby nephew. I personally believe we were targeted. I don't even believe we should've even been asked until we were about to purchase. Another thing to note is she threatened to call police on us for having an under age human being in the store. Was my sister expected to leave him in the car?? Absolutely horrible. Terrible service. We weren't even close to the checkout. read more

NOT Military Friendly!!! Today, I was shopping with my 65 year old mother-in-law at Total Wine. We went to the counter to purchase our items and the "Assistant Manager" Katherine Alpha, asked to see both of our IDs. I wasn't driving that day, and had left my regular ID at home, so I presented my military spouse ID that has my name, picture, and birthday on it. My mother-in-law had her ID, and she was the one purchasing the alcohol. BUT Katharine Alpha told me and my mother-in-law that she would not sell us the alcohol because I didn't have my driver's license and she could not accept the military spouse ID because it could be a "fake". AND even though I am 31 years old, and clearly look older than 21, BUT because I didn't look older than 30, she wouldn't sell it. Katherine Alpha is rude and I felt discriminated against for being a military spouse. She actually treated me as if I was criminal, and I still can't believe she would even try to imply my ID was fake and I was doing something illegal. It was very hurtful and embarrassing. We also asked if we could leave the store and my mother-in-law could come back and purchase it on her own, but Katherine Alpha said NO, because she had seen us together already. Again treating us like criminals.This is not not customer service or "doing her job" as she put it, she clearly just wanted to make it difficult. She needs to be counseled on how to respect people. Another manager said we could buy it, but Katherine Alpha put her foot down and ultimately we left empty handed. read more

Horrible service, these people are racist and pretty much assume anyone who comes in with minors is illegally buying alcohol for minors. It's a freaking giant store, the employees were giving me dirty looks and even at the checkout section asked me to show my nephews ids to her because they came in the store with me. What kind of question is that? If you're gonna ask for minors ids at checkout then have someone at the main gate telling their customers that they can't come in with minors! Waste of time horrible place, rude, racist and selfish manager, who does not know how to deal with customers, getting mad because I was defending myself at being accused of buying alcohol for kids. I was excited to check out this new store and shop for some Father's Day presents! I walked in and as I was looking around, I was stopped by someone who worked there. I had been in the store for less than two minutes. He asked me for my ID. I laughed as I am 38 and most definitely not under 21. He said he was serious and wanted to see my ID. I said I had not purchased anything yet, in fact I wasn't even holding a bottle. I was far away from the registers in the back of the store. He still wanted my ID and I gave it to him. He asked why it was chipped on the side. I said I had no idea. I feel like I was racially profiled. I left without buying anything because the whole experience left me shook. read more

They put up with my pestering mother and had great attitudes about it even when she snapped at them to get their attention (she's often does this from habit of kids and apologized to the young guy when she realized). If they can have good attitudes and give Exemplary service aftering dealing with her then that just goes to show you what type of place this is. read more

Modern, clean, very well stocked store, polite, friendly clerks. Good prices, and they run frequent specials. 60 mile round trip for me, and very much worth the time it takes me to shop there.
