I've had a lot of work done on my 2016 Tundra at Totally Trucks. My experience started out good and has gone nothing but DOWN HILL. There was a guy that worked there when I first started my modifications to my truck that was VERY helpful and became my go to. His name was Will. I have no idea what happened to him, but he is no longer there, and Totally Trucks is lacking greatly without him. I started with a leveling kit, new wheels and new tires. ($3500 worth of work!) Everything went well with that, and I was happy with the result. Next I needed steps into my truck. I had them order me a set, and they called to let me know they were in. I drove the hour drive to get to their shop, and when I got there, they said they had just opened the package and there was a ding in the bar. It would have been nice if they had checked before they set up my appointment. So, they had to reorder, and I had to set up another appointment. Living an hour away, and being a mom who works full time, it is not a convenience to make the drive down to Redding. The next set came in, and I drove down and paid the $125 to have them installed. Fast forward 6 months, and the paint is rapidly chipping off BOTH bars, and I call to see if they're still under warranty. They are, but they will charge me $125 to take the old ones off and put the new ones on. This is after I've given them almost $5,000 in business in the last year. I tell them just order them and I'll come pick them up when they get in and have my husband do the work. They call me 4 days later and tell me they are in. It took my husband 10 minutes to take the old ones off ($125, really?). Let me add, I'm 8 months pregnant, and CAN NOT get into my truck without a step. I called to ask why they couldn't just put them on when I got there, because of all the business I've given them in the last year, and the guy gave me some story about how the parts are covered by warranty, but not the labor. I told the guy it literally took my husband 10 minutes to take them off, why couldn't they take the 10 minutes to put them on for me when I got there, without charging me $125? He said no, its not covered. I took a half day off at work to drive down there, and they just took the old ones out of the back of my truck and put the new ones in, still in their packaging. I asked if they had opened them to make sure there were no scratches or dings and they had not. I had the guy open them right then, and there were scratches on both steps on one of the bars. He said he could fix it with a pen. At this point, I was so fed up that i just said fine. I hope they felt like real asses when they saw me struggling to get back into my truck to leave, with my steps in the back of my truck. I had intended on using them to purchase my fenders, spray in liner and shell, all this summer, but after this last experience, I would NEVER go back there. They might want to think about what real customer service is. It is definitely not sending a pregnant woman on her way without taking 10 minutes to help her out and make her life easier. When I got home, it literally took my husband 10 minutes to put them back on. 6 bolts... and they were going to charge me $125. read more

Asked to have air bags installed on my truck. said it would take a few hours got it back 2 days later. Very rude and they acted like I was putting them out of there way because I was just wondering when my truck would be done. Then I bought some mirrors online because they didn't have what I was lookingfor, and that they did have was a 200 % price mark up, when I asked to make an appointment they said they where busy and only had time for people that bought stuff from them. This 4 days after I spent 1600.00 in there store. Don't waste your time or money here. Go somewhere that they don't treat customers rude. read more

Took my 2008 Tundra in to get a Rhino liner sprayed. I wanted them to wrap over the top of the bed rails. They don't do that because the plastic fasteners break too easily. Don't the I didn't care because I was taking the plastic rail liners off and installing a shell. Nope still wouldn't do it. They didn't ask if I had a plastic bedliner on the phone so that'll be an extra 30 bucks. Tundras come stock w/ rails for tiedowns. Rails are fastened w/ 5 hexalobular machine screws. All of the screws were then when I dropped it off. They took the rails off to spray the liner in but reinstalled them w/ only the end screws (2 on each rail). When the camper company went to install the clamps 2 days later they noticed. I called that day and they said the guy needed to talk to was in the spray booth and they would call me back. No call back. I went back the next morning to ask about it. A lady, customer service I guess, ran across the street to the spray booth to ask. The dude had the balls to say that he reinstalled what he took out. Straight up BS. Those screws were in there. Wouldn't recommend them to someone I hate. Plus they talk crap about their competition who are actually really nice people. read more

Recommended for aftermarket.... I am pleased w/ the services I have received @ Totally Trucks. I went in and had my '07 Avalanche front end re-done w/ an all black mesh grill, U-bar headlamps and transformer brush guard/winch plate. The price was fair for labor/instillation,plus the tech that helped me (Jeremy) was very knowledgable and helpful in helping me out w/ my Avalanche. All of the products I have received thru Totally Trucks so far are under warranty and replaced asap. read more

The employees at Totally Trucks are professional, knowledgeable, and very courteous. They go out of their way to make customers feel welcome in their store. I just had new Westin nerf bars installed on my 2003 Dodge pickup. From the purchase to the installation these folks demonstrated their commitment to excellence by providing the best customer service possible. I would like to say that all the people that complain about this place have you ever thought that your a bad customer it works both ways were all human an stuff happens the staff at totally trucks is awesome but some times they just cant please everyone. I had THE BEST experience at Totally Trucks yesterday. I'll be the first to admit, I'm not exactly car savvy. So, when I needed to get a tow package put onto my vehicle I was so relieved that Jeff explained what I would need and did it in a way that walked me through the process as opposed to talking to me like I didn't know anything. They were quick, cost efficient and SO nice. I will definitely return if I need any other work done on my vehicle or any other vehicle in the future. Didn't catch the guys name that helped me at the end, but he got me all set up with the proper equipment to be able to hook a trailer up that day. I had a great experience initially with Jeremy. He talked me through a quote for everything that I needed and wanted (and then some!), and gave me good information about differences in things I was ignorant about. Gave me a $7000+ quote with some general information on it and asked that I look into which tires and wheels I really wanted, so I went home to think about it. Went back this weekend armed with that info, and ready to give them handfuls of money only to be told that Jeremy wasn't in until Monday and that I'd need to come back then because that sales guy couldn't be bothered to update the quote. I literally told the guy that I knew what I wanted, and I just wanted to pay for it. What a disappointment. I understand that they are probably on commission, but you don't send a paying customer away and tell them to come back...that's just poor service. End result...bought everything on the quote from other places. read more

Only reason anyone actually goes into this place is because it's the only place in Redding that does truck stuff... Well here's the truth, there is about 1 guy in there that is nice the rest are ass holes... Your better off learning how to install your parts your self.. Asked if they could install a bumper on my truck that I purchased online and they said yes but seemed pissed that I didn't buy through them. So I just put it on myself... I just got done reading some of the other reviews, and I have to say, I am not surprised. You have to remember the demographic that goes to a truck customization shop. Alpha Males, construction workers, and hillbillies. All of whom get worked up real quick if things don't go exactly their way. Basically big babies. You have to take their reviews with a grain of salt. Except for my review, which is awesome. First off, every person in there was extremely friendly. I was working with one of the newer employees, Trent, and he was excellent. If he didn't have an answer, he wasn't afraid to ask. The owner happened to be in that day, and he was extremely friendly and you could tell that he had a passion for his customers and the trucks themselves. I have never owned a truck in my life, and I had no idea walking in, what to expect or what was possible in the "after-market world" . I went in knowing NOTHING. These guys could have told me that magical Elves do all the work in the back and I would have believed them. The point is, these guys could have easily tried to sucker me, but instead, they listened to what I wanted, then explained reality, and came up with something plausible and affordable. They explained ALL of my options and exactly what they would cost. In addition, they finished the job, exactly when they said they would. Totally Trucks were great, and I didn't see anything that would indicate otherwise. read more

Totally Trucks should be the customer service model for all business. The guys at the front counter have met and exceed every idea I had to customize my truck, all at a very competitive price. Everytime I'm inside the store, they treat everyone like family; even the mechanics are quick with a smile and a handshake. Most of the "truck" business that I have visited around the west coast have been very standoffish and arrogant, completely not the case at Totally Trucks. Any issues that I have had after install were fixed quickly and on my schedule. It didn't fit properly and was difficult to open, what I felt was going to be an ongoing issue with getting my money back , was resolved and the staff at Totally trucks made me whole! Very bad experience. I ordered backflip bed cover and racks. Had to be ordered which took about a week. When I came in for installation I was informed they ordered the wrong size even though they inspected my truck and sized it themselves. They offered to compensate me for my time and travel which is 75 miles one way from McCloud. So they ordered another back flip cover then I returned a week or so later and holly crap they ordered the wrong size again!!! So they ordered again and I returned and finally got what I ordered. Problem this time they reniged on compensation agreement for my lost time and travel from McCloud. The salesperson (tall skinny guy) became defensive and denied making the compensation agreement even though we talked about it again the second time they got the order wrong. The tall skinny guy treated me like a liar. So rude. So over a month later and 4 trips back and forth from McCloud I finally get my order right. read more

I come from a long line of mechanics but, for whatever reason, the wrench gene skipped my DNA. So, went to Totally Trucks for my '12 JK Sport build (Lift / suspension, Rear / Front fenders & inner fenders), Exoskin, rock sliders, front / rear bumpers, and exhaust). Had a phenomenal experience with all the guys (Wll, Jeff, Jeremy, Brent). In fact, had a trip to Dumont Dunes for President's Day almost get sabotaged cuz of tow bar issue but Brent spent 1-2 hours re-engineering the issue and saving the frickin day at no cost = Outstanding customer service. I have had a chance to chat with the owner a couple times and he's down-to-earth dude. I have literally beat the sh*t out of my Jeep in snow, rocks, mud, and gravel hardpack with no issues. Just an awesome group of guys who will chat / give advice / shoot the shat / crack a lot of jokes. Great shop. I am referring several new Jeep owners to the guys and will be having some additional mods done by them. Highly recommend read more
