They don't file with insurance and when I try to figure out what they did, the call goes to panama where you can't understand the people on the other line and they are clueless about anything that has transpired. Poor Billing practices! Deceptive wording all ment to hide the billing. I am a cash pay patient. I do not hide from just paying what it costs, it cost. But to stamp the word estimate across a piece of paper and have the front desk person charge a random number is deceptively absurd. Every CPT code has a $ price. If someone wants to pay the price for that procedure they can. If they offer to pay price in full to skip the Insurance game you get a discount usually. If you offer to pay in cash most places offer a CASH PAY option. But by using the word estimate across all statements this place is not required to offer any discount. In fact they not have to even give you money back if their estimate is incorrect. This is all to poor business practices. The CPT code has a price they choose not to disclose or discount cash pay. I have been here for years. They used to not be this way. I am certainly not going to get upset over 30 to 60 bucks, but what is upsetting is the lack of knowledge and rude front desk people. I always pay and ask questions later. You got my money the price you think is far. But you are so out of touch to explain your bill "oh no sir this is not a bill, this is just an estimate". What is the cost. "We do not know yet". If they do not know a cost how can they give a cash pay discount....They know what they have trained their staff to say and do. It is just crappy for it to be like this when you do not feel well and need medical care, to be taken advantage of and the patient and staff hear it in the language being used to take advantage of the situation. read more

Equipment would not work properly or technician just didn't know how to use it but I waited on the x-ray table for over 10 minutes while she tried to get it to work. It's now been 2 weeks since I had my x-ray and still no results. I've called my dr who ordered the xray and touchstone says it's still "processing"- I won't be returning. They charged me $599 which I paid in person in their office. They then turned my account over to a collection agency who reported me late to the credit bureaus. This has negatively impacted my credit and they will not address the issue. Their actions have repercussions and long lasting impact. Hours on the phone. No resolve. Very frustrating!!! This location was happy to take my $420 prior to my visit, but it failed to code the visit correctly, which meant my $420 didn't apply to my deductible. After my first call, they told me they'd correct the coding error in 5-7 business days. Eight days later I called again, and they told me they'd correct the coding error in 7-10 business days. July of 2022 and they still require a mask. Wow. Can fly without one but not get an x-ray?? Super crazytown. The receptionist told me "it's a requirement". Only if I want to do business with you. This place and how they handle billing is ridiculous. I've read the previous reviews and can see I'm not the only one having this issue. I was quoted a lesser co-pay from the Lewisville location and the flower mound location said they would honor that price. They then bill me the difference several weeks later. I'm then told to take it up with my insurance company. Own up to your mistakes and quit making the customer play middleman. read more

The staff here has been kind and friendly, professional and personal to me. The front ladies have helped as much as possible to work with the doctors office and my insurance company to help get something approved that for some reason was not approved, even though two other parts of my spine MRI were. When I went by unannounced to obtain a CD and copies of my MRIs they were friendly and promptly provided them in a professional folder for safe keeping with CD labeled. Even when my doctor's office never called, they called to let me know "they had not forgot about me" that the peer review had still not been set up and they had spoke to a specific person and what what said when they themselves followed up. I appreciated that very much. Christine was very helpful on the phone several times in communication. Also, when I went to actually have my MRIs, the gentleman Dan, I think had worked a very long day, and still was very courteous and professional. Overall my whole experience has been excellent with Flower Mound Touchtone Imaging. Financing was taken care of as I met my deductible and all was explained to me. Thank you Touchstone for explaining about the approved next MRI scheduled elsewhere and how to get it moved to your location, if possible, as I really would like to have further testing done there. read more

They found a mass in my Uterus during a ct scan.!!! Guess what??? I Don't have a Uterus ! Today I went back for a pelvic MRI...they didn't do a pelvic MRI they did one for the abdomen! As a colon cancer survivor this type of incompetency is scary and unacceptable. I still do not have the answer as to what the mass is in my pelvis...as you can imagine I am beyond nervous, and still have no answer to what is wrong! read more

This place is ridiculous. I was scheduled twice for a particular MRI. Both times, I was called the afternoon before and told the machine was broken and I needed to be rescheduled. Today was my third attempt. I sat in their office for 45 minutes, only to be told the technician is not certified for this procedure. I have wasted 7 weeks trying to have an MRI. I went to touchstone imaging for the first time ever a couple months ago. When the nurse walked in to administer contrast into my bloodstream; I informed him to use my right arm as the vein has never given me any issues, but he insisted we use the left. "You have good veins," he said. I reluctantly agreed. Right off the bat, he hits a valve (no blood comes out), and informs me he would have to "move further down the arm." I was very nervous about this and asked if that was normal. I'm a 23 y/o female and i hadn't experienced anything like this before. He assured me it was fine/normal and again, I agreed under the impression that he was a professional. I felt a heavy pain in my forearm (where the needle entered) and expressed discomfort. He then said "yeah, your vein just blew out." When I asked what that meant, he said "sometimes the vein just doesn't take the needle well," which i found later is rarely true for younger people (usually a user error). A blown vein causes you to bleed under the surface of your skin. He then reassured me he had "over 15 years of experience," and that he was "100% positive" this would not happen again, and he then moved further down my arm. I was closing my eyes at this point because I was nervous, and I felt the same heavy pain again; HE BLEW OUT ANOTHER VEIN. And acted like it was a problem with my veins (I was not dehydrated, have never had this prob before, etc.) FINALLY, another nurse arrived with a smaller needle (butterfly needle). At this point I literally said "just f***ing do it I guess," because in my mind I had already come this far. Everything went smoothly after that, but it was embarrassing to have 2 huge black/green bruises on my arms for the next month. I like to think I won't ever go back to this facility, because that entire experience was horrible and uncomfortable. The staff didn't seem to care too much, either. read more

Gave them a second chance after they compromised my social security number years ago. Was overcharged close to $300 in July. I had no problem paying my copay but tried to explain to the Flower Mound office that the were estimating my copay to be too high. Was given a print out of estimated charge of $1638 and told to pay $327.60. I told the office that since Touchstone was a preferred provider on my insurance the charge would be much less than $1638. Furthermore the print out indicated that I only had $321.57 left to meet my maximum out of pocket so why was a asked to pay $6 more than that? Had no choice but to pay or the test would not be administered. I used my healthcare flexible spending account card to cover the charge of $327.60. The actual cost of the test, the reasonable and customary charge was $148.38. My copay is only $29.68. Was disconnected from billing department over phone so went to Flower Mound office to discuss the bill. The office called billing and the billing representative said "I'm not going to say that we never overestimated charges or that we have never overestimated by $1600." Now I am told that my refund will take up to 30 days to process and as a result of the overpayment my flexible spending account is frozen. It took the office seconds to withdraw funds from my healthcare account and I am expected to wait a month! I have other medical bills to pay but can't access my healthcare account because of the incorrect estimate. read more

Orthopedic Associates of Flower Mound referred us to touchstone of flower mound for my sons shoulder MRI with contrast. They took my son back with his father had him sit in a room to inject the contrast into the shoulder with a needle. From there they moved him to the room to do the MRI, they told his father it would be 25 minutes. In 25 minutes he was done and we left with a CD with the MRI results. Our CD has the 1 MRI on it, Touchstone turned around and charged BCBS for 2 MRI's 1 with contrast and 1 without. They sent me a bill for the 2nd MRI that was never done! I contacted their billing company out of Atlanta and explained we only got 1 MRI that day, she said to take it up with the flower mound location. I called to talk to the office manager at the flower mound location it's been 3 weeks she has never called me back. I reached out to my insurance, BCBS and explained that they are charging them for an MRI that never happened. BCBS called Touchstone of Flower Mound to discuss the issue. Touchstone of Flower Mound said they would investigate it and call BCBS back. It's been 2 months and BCBS has not received a call with the results. I just got a past due....last chance to pay bill from Touchstone of Flower Mound. I'm going to the orthopedic Dr at Orthopedic Associates of Flower Mound to get his help with this matter. Past two appointments. November I went for scans. My doctor faxed over my new insurance information and my new phone number etc. Well they didn't look at that's since I was already in their system from 3 years before. Since that's the wrong insurance and I don't have that number they cancelled my appointment so when I got there it was a huge deal. My doctor was on the phone with them. I had to leave go to my doctor and get info and bring it to them and get a new appointment. Just frustrating mess. Today I had to go for some scans on my legs. So when I left my doctor I called this morning. Verified they got my new insurance. Updated number all of it. Before giving me further info they had to run everything through my new insurance then would Call me. That's fine. When I get there, there NOONE there. There's 5 or 6 ladies chatting and laughing up front only to find out I have to pay well over $100 min towards my new deductible before I can be seen and pay off the rest in payments. NOONE ran my info till I got there and no one called me. They weren't busy. They were playing. I can't afford to have surprises everytime I go. I have a child to raise. If they would have done their job, I would have had time to talk to family and figure stuff out. They didn't care and just said sorry it's policy. Policy should be doing your job before I got there and calling since I made sure they had everything they needed at 10 am. My appointment wasn't till 130pm. They had plenty of time. Unprofessional and rude. Hassle that's not needed. I called my doctor. Let them know about my issues again and to update my notes to have me sent somewhere else in the future. My complete visit from walking in the door to walking out was great. The receptionist greeted me as I entered the office. The office was clean and decorated nicely. The signing in process was quick and efficient. The Sonographer took me to the sono room on time and was very professional but was prompt to answer all of my questions. I spoke to the Radiologist after the exam also who answered more of my questions. I was very pleased with my experience there and will be returning again. This place jumped through hoops to get me in for an MRI on my low back. My local hospital wanted to charge almost three times what Touchstone Imaging charged me. While I know my insurance is crappy, touchstone imaging worked with me to get the MRI that I needed. The staff was very kind and accommodating. When I went to the desk to ask about it, the front desk staff rudely replied that it would still be a while and then realized that they hadn't notified the technician of my appointment and had let another person go ahead of me. Even after realizing their mistake, they were not apologetic nor did they try to speed things along. Poor customer service and not helpful!!!
