Our kids love this place. The frozen yogurt flavors are diverse and change often. You are permitted to try a couple flavors which is totally fair. They also have a lot of toppings that are constantly kept fresh and full. The prices are much more reasonable than other self serve frozen yogurt placed like Pinkberry. The establishment is kept very clean and the youngsters who work there are friendly. Overall, I would recommend Menchie's for your "Pinkberry" fix at a much more affordable prices. read more

This was thee NASTIEST Menchie's I have ever been to. I told them three times they should clean their trash. That was the same trash since the day before. Because I asked the girl working was it busy and she said no and she didn't know because she just started. It was about 4pm. That is nasty. Froyo is so nostalgic for me! So this place only allows 2 samples per person and then it's $0.50 per sample after that. The froyo was kind of runny. I ended up getting: - white peppermint - it didn't taste artificial and was a good mint flavor - swirl of cheesecake/strawberry My toppings were Oreos and strawberry popping boba. Yeah I see why they got low ratings. From the moment we walked in, it had that mildew smell where they just cleaned the floors but it stank AND it was sooo sticky!! I only think they just cleaned the floors cause they had a sign and mop out. But maybe they didn't. My sandals were sticking every time I took a step. The flavor choices were good. There are two sized cups to pick from as well. I chose the peanut butter and original tart. Peanut butter was ok but the tart was good! I liked the spoons as well. The employee was nice and asked how my day was going. There weren't many tables (there was a good amount of people inside) but I wouldn't have stayed to eat inside anyways because it was warm and I can't stand the smell of mildew. read more

I overall love Menchie's wherever I go, however this location I can't get five stars. Unfortunately sometimes I have had the items they taste old, and there is a mildew smell in the location. The people at the desk don't always greet you, so it gets a little awkward. read more

I rarely dole out 2 stars but the moment I walked into this Menchie's I regretted it. It was chaos. So crowded! But that's not their fault if everyone and their mother wanted a fro-yo at the same time as me, right? So I pushed on, thinking even if it was crowded I was still going to walk away with a nice little treat. And yes, I did, but I don't know if I would call it "nice." First off, there was one staff person in the whole shop and he was sitting behind the counter basically looking like he'd would rather be anywhere doing anything else (can't fault him for that, but not great for the vibe as a customer). It's self serve so he was basically just running the scale and the register, checking people out. This meant that there wasn't really anyone else around to handle clean up and restocking toppings and such, which I'll get to later. They had a ton of flavors and I sampled a few. I've visited other Menchie's before and typically have liked their froyo well enough. I sampled some NY Cheesecake out of curiosity which was good but ultimately landed on my go to--chocolate. Went to the self-serve topping area next and it was a hot mess. If you have any sort of allergy I highly suggest you avoid visiting here as it was cross contamination central. Everything was scattered and bits of this were spilled into bits of that. Several of the bins were empty and it was and messy around it. The limited fresh fruit toppings they carry were mostly out and what was left was kind of sad looking so I passed. I really wanted some berries but there were none to be found. Nor were there any waffle cone chips which is my other favorite. In the end I just landed on some cookie dough bites. Went to check out and get weighed and my already melting cup of of chocolate fro yo with cookie dough chunks was like $8 bucks. I didn't even think I added that much! Not entirely sure the guy even made eye contact with me as I paid, either. IDK if I just caught them on a busy, understaffed day or this is the norm here but I'm not sure I'm not interested visiting again to find out. read more

Very rude staff, was yelling them that I get the vanilla flavor isn't right (I come at least twice a week and get the same thing) the color and taste was wrong completely and instead of apologizing and understanding, they told me I was wrong and that I shouldn't have filled up the cup at all and should have sampled it before starting to put it in my cup. I shook it off and picked another flavor, got in line and they were being rude to the customer infront of us over a misunderstanding, then got to us and started grilling me over me filling the cup again and when I tried to explain it was because something was wrong with it she started yelling at me and saying I'm wrong and they made it with the same ingredients and temp and next time they will charge me. My boyfriend got very mad and wanted to leave everything but I just paid and left with our stuff but we will never be back to this location. read more

Grandchildren love it. Hubs and I share a cup but the grands get their own. I wish they had smaller cups but of course they want you to fill your cup at $0.,77 an ounce. I have been going to Menchie's for years, but my experiences have been getting increasily negative. First is the price: I recently got a moderate portion of yogurt only--no toppings--and it was over $11! A double-scoop of premium ice cream in a waffle cone at Blank Slate is $8. (On top of that, Menchie's payment machine asks for a tip--for self-service.) They are also completely inconsistent in samples--they have previously allowed customers to get their own samples in sample cups; then they started charging for more than 1 sample; this week they've eliminated the sample cups and you have to ask for a spoon (which is a messy way to get a sample). Seems so cheap when you're asking customers to pay so much. They went through a phase where they asked customers to walk in only one direction around the cashier to get to the yogurt machine, which felt like an elementary-school rule. One worker told me, as I was paying for my yogurt, that he doesn't eat it because it has too much sugar. They are not very friendly. read more

just visited Menchies on Ann Arbor Saline Road. Had a tub of vanilla which I took to my car. Looked a bit strange both in color & texture & tasted just wrong to me. I walked back & told the guy there he said I got what I paid for, plain vanilla ice cream and was no help and not willing to offer me a replacement. Buyer beware! First I love Menchie, I have the app on my phone because I live by one in Studio City, CA and I go three times a week. So I was excited to find this one in Ann Arbor. -the floors were dirty, the spoons for the toppings were sticky, and it was fudge smeared down the topping machines. I haven't been in a Menchie's in awhile but my son wanted dessert after our lunch. Dur to covid 19, the employee fills your yogurt cup to prevent contamination. Most toppings are in small circular containers that can be used to dispense toppings vs a single scoop that was pre covid 19. A large variety of toppings were present, I even had a hard time choosing. My cake batter/ strawberry swirl was topped with hershey's dark chocolate chips and strawberries. My son chose chocolate yogurt with choc chips, cookie dough and hot fudge. Only downside is I forgot to use my rewards. Went for the first time today. The place was filthy. A slight odor when you walk in. Toppings smashed in the floor. Yogurt and sorbet on the dispenser. Melted yogurt on the walls. This place NEEDS to be deep cleaned. There was 2 or 3 employees standing in the booth socializing. They were kind and I notified them of the mess and was told it was almost cleaning time. I was forced by my party to eat yogurt with them. The spoons for the toppings were dirty. The yogurt and sorbet flavors are also lack luster. I will not return. Sad, but I downgrading to 3 stars.... and here's why. If you have the 'mySmileage', you should check your transaction carefully. I've been here about 10 times since they opened and of the 10 times, I've only gotten credit on the mySmilage account for only 4 visits... I just gotta wonder what happened to the other six transactions? When they asked me if I had mySmileage account, I would give them my phone number, thinking that I would get the credit... but this wasn't the case it seems... so I went today to try their pineapple tart flavor (by the way, it's not part enough!!!)... when I was at the checkout, the cashier asked me if I had the mySmileage and I said, yes and provided my phone number. Cashier gave me a receipt of what I had spent... then when I got home to check, sure enough it registered and showed up on my list of transactions. What I have to wonder is, what happened to the other six times when I provided mySmileage account information? Clearly they took the number and entered it... could they have entered a wrong number or did not press something like "apply" button on the register? To think of it, I didn't receive a receipt like I did today, indicating how much I spent.... I'll be monitoring my visits carefully moving forward and make sure I get my receipts... it seems odd that some transactions are posted and others are not... what gives Mechie's of Pittsfield township???? This store is kind of a mess. The only reason I end up here is that it's the only frozen dessert place within 2 miles of my house. The big problems are it's dirty and the refrigeration system for the fro-yo doesn't work properly. I went there last night and no chocolate and three machines were offline. This is a very nice oasis in the middle of strip mall hell. This place is between my office and home so it is very convenient to stop for a treat (I am lactose-intolerant and often forget my lactose pills but I like to live dangerously!) Features a variety of soft serve, frozen yogurts along with a solid topping bar. Both make this an essential pit stop for a light, refreshing after-meal dessert or SNACKER! My kids LOVE the variety of yogurt flavors and the toppings. Okay, there is a frozen yogurt place in LA with a pretty ridiculous topping bar that is nearly twice as big but there's stuff that I will NEVER put on my frozen yogurt like organic wheat germ powder and quinoa grains (crunchy liberal types) but they charge 2.5 times as much as Menchie's! I cannot figure out what is wrong with the HATERS who leave negative reviews or tips. Jealous competitors? Disgruntled ex-employees? I'm done with Menchie's. We went to this place all the time, but it has gone down hill recently. I was very sick the day after eating there two visits ago and this past visit (Sunday evening, 8/19) was a joke. There were three uniformed employees all screwing around, on their phones, with one eating a burger behind the counter. The store was filthy and several items were not stocked. Really going downhill from when they opened. I'm not sure if there is new management or some other issue. They regularly have servers of the group flavors down. And whatever you do, don't order a cake! That is just a total mess and you are likely to show up to your party with a cake that appears to be decorated by a toddler. The location is convenient as it is next to a few food places so you can get a meal then wander here for dessert. The froyo itself is more on the watery side. Quality seems similar to places like Orange Leaf. I would prefer the more thicker more substatial texture of places like Pinkberry or Yogurtland, but this is fine for a quick froyo fix if you're in the area. read more

We stopped at Orange Leaf hoping to score a free cup but there was a line essentially out the door for a mini cup. We truck our way out to Menchies with no problem paying for some good froyo. First thing we notice is the small and disappointing selection of froyo and sorbet. Two of the machines were actually out of order! The toppings is what really made me want to update my review. Sure, there are a ton of candy and sauce options to choose from, but only one fruit?!
