I absolutely love Tous Les Jours! My fiance and I would come here often - usually on the weekend to get something to go with our weekend coffee mornings. I am obsessed with the milk bread and the croquettes - they are to die for and are so addicting. Their hot dog buns are also so delicious and their almond croissants are my all-time favorite. The only thing is.. that last few visits I stopped by here, they were always out of the potato croquettes. They just told us they were simply out of stock but we were going back to back for a few weekends and they were out. It's been awhile since I've been back here but I hope they have finally restocked their potato croquettes, I feel like they are also a favorite for everyone. I have also gotten a fruit cake here for my mom's birthday. I love that they offer candles too - I got the really long ones just because I thought they were really funny! Solid Korean patisserie in West Dublin - good for a quick savory snack or sugary pick-me-up, and popular for their cakes. My daughter and I were shopping REI's anniversary sale next door and stopped by afterward. It was a little after 4 on a Friday, so they were not completely out of their 'baked fresh daily' wares. She got a fruit tart to eat outside, I selected a sausage roll to tide me over till dinnertime, and we got a blueberry donut and red bean pastry for her sis and mom who had stayed back home. The little one was famished, and devoured her fruit tart in record time. Then she used her "puppy dog eyes" trick to talk her father into sharing his savory snack AND letting her eat the entire blueberry donut from the "we were thinking of you" bag of take-home goodies. Which sent me scrambling back inside TLJ to replenish it with two other donuts. Happy to report that these made it home safely and were enjoyed later by all. I am a huge fan of Tous Les Jours and their delicious pastries and cakes. My first experience with trying their cakes was almost a decade ago. It was for a birthday and a friend brought a very beautiful looking cake that was packaged in a nice, sturdy, box. Little did I know that it was going to be one of my favorite cakes that I will try. (It was the blueberry yogurt cake). The cake looked like a winter wonderland with blueberries, little dark and milk chocolate shavings, and elegant ribbons of berry jam along the cake for an added touch of beauty. It was very nice. The friend raved about how he traveled to Dublin to pick it up. The name came up again a couple of years ago. Tous Les Jours. Of course, they mispronounced it and I thought, up until the last several months, that it was called Tour De Jor (kind of like the Tour de force/France). Anyways, I ended up stumbling across it, one day, while my mother was shopping at the 99 ranch market a couple of blocks away. Trusty, reliable Yelp helped me rediscover it. I mentally bookmarked my next visit here when there was a birthday. The days passed and I remembered my mental bookmark to come here. I ended up getting the Blueberry Yogurt Cake # 3 (Large), and went on my way to my brother's place to celebrate. The cake was a hit and my parents and sibling both enjoyed how it was creamy, light on the sweetness, and the subtle tartness. It also looked might nice too. I ended up getting it again three years later (aka 3 weeks ago) for my brother's birthday on 4/4. It came with a nice box and was quite delightful. It was then that I also tried a couple of their other pastries. Sorry, but I shopped with my stomach and did not read what I got. I get really excited the day before we pick up a birthday cake for a family member, friend or coworker. You must call 48 hours in advance for a preorder. We usually don't preorder and just pick a random one from the display case. Here are the pastries I've tried far: *1. Fruit Pastry- 5/5. Fresh fruit and fresh cream on top of a crunchy puff pastry. *2. Strawberry croissant- 5/5. Cream with a hint of sweetness and fresh strawberries sandwiched inside a croissant *3. This is my favorite bakery in East Bay! I stopped by on a Sunday afternoon to pick up a tiramisu cake (my brother's favorite from here!) and a few pastries. What I ordered: - Tiramisu cake - Milk Cream Bread - Macarons: Earl Grey, Green Tea, and Salted Caramel - Matcha Brownie - Fudge Brownie I stopped by at around 3pm and it was still quite busy! Their seating area was full of families and people studying or enjoying food. While I was walking around looking for pastries about 5 more customers came in. Some of the pastries were out so I would recommend getting here early. The person who rung me up was super sweet and friendly! They have the best tiramisu in my opinion! The Milk Cream Bread was not too sweet in flavor and the bread was super soft. I wasn't a big fan of the Green Tea macaron, but the Earl Grey and Salted Caramel were pretty good! The Matcha Brownie was my least favorite.. It just was not good to me, and I think the flavor combination was just not for my palate. The Fudge Brownie was super rich and not that sweet (I liked it way more than the matcha)! Both the brownies were a good size for a quick snack/dessert. Love this little shop! They have an extensive variety of fresh breads similar to the kinds you'd see at 85 degree. I always get a diverse spread here and they also have a ton of drinks you can order. I've only had the Coconút latte and it came sprinkled with coconut flakes and was really light and delicious. My favorite breads are usually the cheesy ones as im more of a savory tooth person. I bought the Green Tea Cloud Cake, for which "like a cloud" is indeed a fitting epithet. Light, airy, with that soft, marshmallow-like fluffiness the Japanese call "fuwa fuwa," the cake was a tender joy to bite into. The assortment of berries on top added some fresh, natural flavour. What pleased my dad was the silky cream that carried a refined, not sickly, sweetness, that complemented the green tea sponge with a nice tinge of sugar. And when the star of the show is happy, everyone is happy. By the end of our sweet feast, at which every hint of cream had been scooped (or licked) from the cake platter and knives and forks, I felt both undeniably stuffed and undoubtedly satisfied. Love their cakes! I buy the Korean fresh cream/cloud cream cake every year for my birthday. It has a good amount of fruit on top, but I wish they would include more inside, in between the layers of cake. It's very delish forsure but my birthday is on Christmas Eve and sadly, they overcharge all cakes during the holiday season. I wish they would only increase the price on the limited edition holiday cakes, but they add $$$ to all of them. Especially knowing that they're not really completely made from scratch at the bakery (family member used to work at one)... they are overpriced to begin with. But the 4 stars are simply for the taste and also because you can't get these type of cakes at places like Safeway. I do wish they would have more variety when it comes to their bread and also wish they would bring out new batches more often. Often times, they don't have something I'm looking for, and I usually go before lunch time.Example: when I went last time, they didn't have castella, which is a very popular type of Korean bread. Also, I bought the whole wheat bread loaf and I don't know what happened, but I ate it as soon as I got home and it tasted like rotten milk... so I threw it away. This location is 30 minutes away from me so I wasn't trying to go back to the store to return it. I called it in 3 days ahead for pickup. On the day of pickup, I came in earlier than my requested time but they were able to accommodate. I recommend coming when the pastries are just made & fresh or earlier in the day because I've come in a couple of times where I realized I was too late because the shelves were literally wiped clean. Not sure what I tried from this place, but I loved every bite of it. A family friend brought these pastries for us to taste and we were all very impressed. The cream-filled pastry was so light and fluffy and absolutely melt-in your-mouth. I highly recommend it, although I'm not sure what menu item it's called. Another item (the purple looking bread) which I'm guessing is some sort of taro bread was really tasty too! I didn't try the pastry with sausages inside but I thought it looked pretty neat. I think their bread is better than the one from Paris baguette, which is a similar popular bakery brand. The store also has wonderful coffee and a lot of seatings. It is a very good place for working/studying. However, during my visit, the store is filled with restroom smell. I hope the management can look into it. read more

Needed a cake for Gramma's birthday. We thought she would love a cloud cream cake, since she has loved chiffon cakes in the past. And their cakes are sooooo beautiful! It wasn't clear on the website or even at the store how to order a cake, what sizes/options were available, and the pricing. Sizes range from #1 (smallest) to #6 (largest). We got a #2, which was $31 and fed 7 adults and 2 little ones with about half a cake leftover. If you want a specific type of cake, you should order it 2 days in advance. We went around 9:30 AM and there were only a few cakes available. We ended up getting a Strawberry Cloud Cake, which was a delicate shade of pink. You can request a piece of chocolate that says "Happy Birthday" and another one that is personalized with a name. The young lady helping us out was super awesome, so 1 extra star just for her! She told us the chocolate cloud cake does not contain strawberries, unlike the single slice servings. The matcha cake looked really beautiful. Wish I got a picture of that. The Strawberry Cloud cake was a big hit at the party. They include thin candles and an innovative cake slicer with matches built into the handle. The flavor is delicate, the whipped cream frosting is barely sweet, and the chiffon cake was moist. I also got a lemon "cruffin" (croissant-muffin) that was just placed into the display. Our goto shop for cakes and other bakery products. We visit this place at least once every two weeks and each time the products are fresh and tasty. They have a variety of savory and sweet buns with various filling. They are soft, filling is tasty and not too overpowering with flavor or sweet. They also have 3 different types of vegetarian croquettes which and they are amazing evening snack. One of the best I have tried in the Bay Area. They are mildly spicy, warm and pluffy ! We have also ordered cakes for my sons birthday for years in row and they have never disappointed us. The shop is always clean and the staff is very friendly to interact with. Big kudos to them.
