An overall good experience, with a friendly staff, a wide variety of pastries, and a clean and bright interior. There is also lots of seating, both indoors and outdoors, and it was definitely pleasant hanging out for a little while. I'll admit I was a little confused when I first walked in, since the first thing you see is display cases full of pastries sort of sitting in the middle of the floor, with the counter for ordering on the opposite side of those. Then I saw someone with a tray and tongs grabbing a pastry, and realized it was basically a buffet of pastries. With so many pastries on display (and there are a wide variety of options!), it seems to me that many of them are going to sit in the cases for most of the day. I didn't get the impression that everything (or anything?) was made from scratch in-house. Also, it doesn't seem that they have any gluten-free items, as far as I could tell. I got a mushroom, onion, and cheese pastry, which was very good. I also got a cafe Americano, which was also good. The staff was helpful and friendly, and the interior was very clean. Overall this was a very good experience. The pastries aren't as good as some of my other favorite spots around town, but I'm still glad I stopped in and will certainly return in the future. read more

This adorable French-Asian bakery instantly reminded me of 85 degrees in Southern California. The space has a bright, minimalist aesthetic that makes it feel airy and inviting. I ordered the honey lavender latte and the matcha cake, and both were absolutely delicious--the latte had a lovely floral sweetness without being overpowering, and the matcha cake was soft and light. My only complaints were that it took quite a while to get my drink, and the tables, counters, and floors could have been cleaner. The food, drinks, and atmosphere made it a spot I'd definitely come back to. Hopefully the service and cleanliness improve because this place has so much potential! read more

I would say it's a cool concept for sure. Coffee was decent and the pastries were also not bad, just do not like the inability to be comfortable in the interior seating areas. The line felt like it was intrusive as people were waiting right next to all of the seating and made you feel like you're being watched and listened to as you ate. Having been to the store in the Chinatown area of Chicago my expectations were set when this bakery opened in Franklin about a month ago. The first couple of weeks were crazy busy so I didn't even attempt to get in the door. It's still quite busy but you can find parking in the area and get inside now that the new hype is dissipating. I tried a few different pastries (Guava, Almond Croissant and blueberry and cheese) and they were all excellent. The checkout process was slower than it should be as staff seem somewhat disorganized and lacking initiative but it's not terrible, just a tad slow. As a recovering carboholic, I can't be a regular here but I will be back! read more

Okay - if you want a specific baked good, odds are they have it! I cam becuase I saw online that they had Ube Latte's and Matcha Latte's... they were able to customize one for me with both Ube and Matcha. It was quite good. I also got an almond croissant, but the filling was more like a cream or custard, but I prefer my almond croissants with an almond butter filling (ground almonds). I also got my friend an Iced Vanilla Latte with Almond Milk - she says it's the best one she's had! I'll need to come back here to try some other pastries to see if I favor them more than the croissant I had. There is defintily something that will tickle my fancy. Plus they have some season pistachio treats and drinks I must try. read more

The pain au chocolat was good. Taste like any other that we've had. The chocolate dipped croissant was good. The chocolate avalanche got tossed. Some gritty chocolate filling that was not good. The garlic cream cheese bread was also tossed. No flavor except sweet cream cheese. The grab tongs and a tray approach is interesting, but then you stand in a long line with two registers. The pastry shop downtown Franklin was much better if you're looking for flaky croissants. read more

Finally a Tous les Jours in middle TN!! I've tried this chain in Korea and Atlanta, and I've absolutely loved their baked goods. I was here around 4:30pm a couple Sundays ago, and unfortunately half of the shelves were empty. However, I was able to get the pistachio cream bread, and it was SO good. Today, I came around 11am and the shelves were fully stocked. No wait at all. Haven't had a chance to try everything that I got but the honey cheese pancake is phenomenal!! Ube latte is awesome as well. I cannot wait to try everything else. read more

I'm so happy we finally have a TlJ locally! I stopped by on a rainy Monday and there was no wait. Grabbed my tray and tongs and away I went! Picked out a full tray of various pastries, plus a slice of strawberry cream cake, cheesecake, and egg salad sandwich. Pastries are okay, egg salad is a little strange (there is meat on it), but the sweets are on point. I also got an Ube latte which was delicious. Hope they're successful! Reminds me of Korea. I absolutely loved my experience at Tous Les Jours! I had one back in Chicago before I moved so it was great to have a piece of home with me here in TN. The selection was great & I actively saw staff restocking anything that was gone, & the pastries were absolutely delicious! I really loved the unique flavors and how light & fluffy the pastries were as well as being a lightly sweetened flavor. I would agree with other reviews that the staff was a bit slow checking guests out but they're more of being friendly & personable so I was okay with it since they were super sweet! There was a hair on the sandwhich. See the picture i attached. This is what happens when people take shortcuts on common sense. Everyone should be coming into work with clean, pet hair free uniforms, made for kitchen and prep service. They should all also be wearing hait nets. I can't tell if it's a dog hair or a human hair. Either way, it's DISGUSTING. They should be ashamed of themselves. Luckily, i pay close attention when i'm eating. I did not enjoy this experience! Tried the croque Monsieur, but it's more like a glorified unmelted grilled cheese for a toddler. The bread was grossly sweet and soggy with what I'm guessing is meant to be the bechemel (but was nothing like it), and the yellow cheese cheese inside was not melted. The strawberry lemonade was sparkling, tasted artificial, and overall the whole experience was regretful. Won't be back! It feels super commercialized and plastic. read more

I'm so glad I found this place! It's so cute and they have so many unique pastries, lunch items, and more. There's so much to choose from- it's difficult to narrow it down!! The place is impeccably clean, smells nice, cold AC, and plenty of seating. Not busy at 1:54 pm on a Friday. It's a calm environment with good lighting so it would be a nice place to do work. I got a 16 oz iced vanilla latte with oat milk and a strawberry donut. The latte was a 10/10- perfect espresso to milk ratio. Not watered down or bitter tasting at all. I was hesitant to get a donut out of all the choices, but I'm glad I did. I have had so many stale donuts from recent bakeries I've visited This donut however, was amazing!! It was so puffy, soft, and fresh. It was decorated and packaged so cute as well. The price was $12.08 and honestly I believe I got my moneys worth. If you get it to go like I did, they'll put your pastry in this cute little box for you to take home The only thing negative (or maybe not) I have to say is the employees look a little scared so hopefully they're being treated ok. I walked in and felt like I was back in Paris! I don't know how they make so many options incredibly well, but they do. We brought home an almond croissant, twist donut, pain au chocolate and a custard bun. Every single thing was lovely. I love how subtle the sweetness is in some of the pastries. I had never been nor heard of this place so I was actually shocked when I walked in. Everything looks amazing. It was very hard to choose, I realized after seeing most people with their trays that people get several different treats. We did not this time but it's very tempting. I got a tuna sandwich for my toddler and I and we really enjoyed that (tuna was good and the milk bread is fluffy and nice). My daughters got the filled donuts and they loved them. My oldest wishes she could live at this bakery. We got matcha and ube iced lattes. Everything we had was very good and overall this place was a fun experience. I LOVE this place! The food is so good and every time I've been there service has been quick and it's been easy and fast to order and get the food. The design and atmosphere is super cool, I love to go with my friends to get drinks and food and just catch up. There are times too where I just run in to grab treats for my coworkers and they are always soooo excited when I do because they love it too. One of my favorite items is the cookie croissant but you cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. Highly recommend, it's my favorite spot in Franklin and Nashville! read more

Mixed feelings about my visit! To be fair, this is the first week they are open so I'm sure they are still working out the kinks. Pastries and food were delicious and tasted very fresh. Selection was limited when we came at 12:30 - over half of the displays were emptied. Really the biggest thing that bothered me: I saw multiple people picking baked goods out and changing their minds and returning the item to the case - gross! Definitely need some signage to remind people that once they pick an item out, it cannot return to the case. Overall, I'm excited to have this bakery in the area and look forward to trying new items the next time I visit. read more

I seriously hope you guys improve overtime. Like another person mentioned, the drinks have been across the board sub par. The Ube drink was plain trash. I took 1 sip and threw it out later after I got out of the store. It was a waste of ube powder. The matcha cake? It's a run-of-the-mill green tea cake, no matcha flavor at all. strawberry cloud cake was ok, but just ok. I hesitate to try another cake at all from this place. The American bakeries in the area are getting it soo right and this place has been soo average. Last TLJ I tried also didn't rise up to expectations, idk if it's something about this chain. Everything I've tried has been average at best, nothing exceeding expectations; not bad, just not wowing me. Parris Baguette has been so much more en pointe, right from day 1. They delt with crazy vol too, in downtown Nashville, and yet quality was consistently great. Ambiance was good, interior's nice, plenty of space to shop and sit and eat, inside was clean. I'm writing a rather critical review because I really want this place to be better, I wish the manager could see this and think about improving the quality of the food, even though I know they won't. What a disappointment. Their pastries are premade/frozen and baked in house. These are not made from scratch in house. I recognize one of the pastries in particular as a frozen item from a bakery supplier when I worked at a bakery years ago. In terms of flavor nothing we tried was impressive (au pain chocolate, almond pastry, savory mushroom pastry, blueberry and sweet cheese pastry). Also, the line is inexcusably slow. Staff cannot bag and ring up fast enough. They need to hustle with this size crowd. And the worst thing is that you're standing in a line of about 75 people with your pastries exposed and everyone's breathing all over them. Gross! read more

I came to pick up a few pastries for a breakfast party @ 7:15 in the morning. Their posted business hour is 7:00am to 8:00pm. The shop was open. While I was getting ready to shop around one worker asked me to leave because she said their real open hour is 7:30am and they are "in the process of updating the hours" will So, I stepped outside and waited in my car. Excellent first visit! We visited at lunchtime on a Monday. Business was lively but there were tables available and wait time was reasonable (maybe 5-10 minutes?). I shared a savory croissant (delicious) and an egg salad sandwich (cold and perfectly spiced with a satisfying blend of textures), while enjoying their house coffee (hot and rich). I purchased some additional items for my family to enjoy later: the savory croquette was a standout as was the spinach feta pastry. The variety and tastes are impressive, and the prices are surprisingly reasonable (half the price of less stellar fare in Brentwood).
