Highly anticipated but fell short. Great atmosphere but business probably should focus on desserts and not a full menu. We ordered the duck sandwich which was extremely greasy that my fingers were oily and the entire plate was covered with grease. Also, the burger was requested at medium but it came out rare and the waitress said that's because the patty was too thick and hard to cook to the right temperature. If you're a kitchen and restaurant, I would believe you would hire the qualified chefs to cook a burger patty correctly. Fries were stale tasting and ketchup was mediocre and side salad was just mixed greens with a vinaigrette. Everything eaten left little to desire. They tried to compensate by giving complimentary cake balls but they were dry and tasteless. The creme brulee macaron was very tasty though! Wish the business would focus a little more on R&D for the full menu before serving it. read more

I'll give it two stars because the food was alright. Service was so terrible. But it took a really long time and I asked if it was vegan because I have a very sensitive stomach and the guy said yes. This is a pretty trendy looking internet cafe minutes away from Minute Maid Park. It has a spacious interior with a dessert, juice and coffee bar. I tried the tarragon chicken sandwich with fries. The sandwich was tasty and the ketchup tasted like it was homemade with a little bit of a sweet zest added to it. For dessert, i tried a salted caramel macaroon, the 'cardiovascular' juice and the Paris-Brest pastry. The butter cream was decadent! I would definitely try this place again, since its laptop friendly, with ac outlets and many types of desserts to sample. read more

Got Stumptown Cold Brew Coffee - Watered down coffee. Complained about it, Barista tasted it, thought that it was good, apparently I was mistaken about how stumptown cold brew should taste like. I was a regular at the Stumptown roasters in Greenwich village, NYC and can differentiate between fantasy and reality. Overhyped spot, thinking that they can charge exhorbitant prices for poor quality drinks and poor service. read more

Have been wanting to try Tout Suite for a while so finally did on Easter Sunday. Overall a great experience: food was great (I got chicken and waffles), they have all their bakery goods right at checkout and enticed me to get a cupcake (yummy). Great space, poor management. Crowded with people who are only on laptops without food or drinks. Came in with about 9 people.We were very close to finding a table but two people had taken over the table with laptops and books. Tout sweet could have easily made 200-300 $ from us but the management isn't smart enough to tell people who aren't making them money to move to a different table. On top of that, management cannot say they did not know of this because we approached 3 employees including a manager..AND on top of THAT there was an elderly woman with us who walked with a cane who needed a seat and no one came to offer her even that... This afternoon was my first time ever hearing about Tout Suite! I absolutely adored the environment and style of the place. A friend and I simply went to get their fresh juice, although it was a bit pricey ($9.74 for 16oz), the juice was delish! I tried the #2( hibiscus, coconut water, agave, lime and ginger). I look forward to coming back and actually eating. The few people sitting around had food that looked great, so let's hope it tastes just as good! read more

One of my favorite hangouts in Houston. Their coffee is fantastic, and the food is great no matter what meal you are there for. They have a big menu, and a lot of dessert selection. Tout Suite is super cute and has good decor and vibes, and the desserts taste good, but it's way overpriced! I did like all the desserts I tried, despite their absurd prices, but it's funny that I don't like the macarons, which are the main attraction. They have huge air bubbles below the crust, and the filling was liquidy, making the macaron cookies slide around. Overrated spot. However, if you do come here, try the milk tea (no tap)! Usually, I get decent service here. But tonight was so extremely bad, I had to post a review. How do you stand in line twice for 6 macaroons? Well, it happened to me tonight. My what should have been 15 min trip, turned into a 45 min wait. When I was in line, there wasn't anyone at the dessert bar. As I got up to the cashier, he tells me I have to go back to the dessert bar to place my order where surprise; someone is there now. I got my 6 macaroons and my tiramisu from her, then tells me to go back to the cashier. This is where the fun starts. He checks out a couple more people. I didn't mind. Then he completely ignores me and continues to go through the line. I just asked to pay for stuff and go, but of course he says no! I get to go to the end of the line. Granted that the line had double since my initial wait in line. I should have made a scene or walked out, but that's just not my character. read more

The food and sweets are very good, but I can't give Tout Suite 5 stars because my sandwich took almost 30 minutes to come out when the place wasn't even very busy. I like this place for the aesthetic and their selections on desserts. That's basically it. I can find their food selection somewhere else for much cheaper and better tasting. The first time I came, I ordered a burger with a handful of fries on the side, and that was $19. Wouldn't do it again because it was nothing special that's worth $19, except for the ketchup. Can I please get a gallon of that stuff? My friend ordered a steak dish, and that needed ALOT of salt. It tasted like nothing and I had to finish it for her as I'm not picky about my food as she is. Also, don't get their milk tea please. Go to a boba place to save yourself and your money. Their milk tea tasted like, sugar water with a hint of cough medicine. Their boba is sweet though, which is a first for me and a plus for my friend, she liked it. Service is awesome. Though one girl there is always moody all the time and had on a straight face even when talking to customers. It's only a 5 min drive from school so I do find myself coming back just for their desserts and for a cool place to study. I don't mind the noise as I always have my music in. But it might be a problem for some people. Overall, I don't think Tout Suit's worth the hype. There are better. read more

You definitely have to get here before 10am to line up and get a seat. I had the migas for brunch on the weekend and have to say that with a side of toast it was a filling meal. Also, you HAVE to get a red velvet cupcake from them! It is beyond delicious!!!! read more

We had breakfast, coffee and cookies, I liked the open set up and definitely did not mind getting my own water and silverware. The food was good but the eggs tasted like onions, which I really don't like. Service was good and friendly. It was ok and I will be back for sure to try out other dishes, hope to come back and update to a 5 star review. The parking spaces are huge, so they fill up fast, so we parked in the back. The location sucks, it would be great if you could look out the windows and see a nice park or something, instead you see the dirty, grungy, homeless people. The City of Houston clearly does not care to keep the city clean and attract visitors or tourist. It Tout Suite starts a petition to move the homeless out, I will gladly sign. read more

We have been fans for ages. We always eat here on our way downtown for events in the Hobby Center or Alley Theater. Tonight was terribly disappointing. I ordered the stuffed potato which didn't come until after my friends were through eating their club sandwich. The potato was tepid and dry and not very cooked. The stuffing was dry but tasty. The brussel sprouts used to be the best thing on the menu but no more. They were greasy and not as crisp as in the past. All in all, very disappointing. 2nd disappointing visit. We will find a new place. The saving grace is the bakery. The key lime tarts are amazing as are the cupcakes and creme brulee and anything in the bakery case. read more

Nice venue, a bit noisy and hard to hear what people are saying (including the staff taking orders). The desserts look divine and we ordered a pain au chocolat covered in sprinkles, it was good. I will return and get desserts. We ate dinner and although the frites were tasty, as was the ketchup, the mushroom burger I ordered had to be the blandest meal I have ever paid for in my entire life. I was really looking forward to mushroom flavour but it apparently is ground into the patty, which has absolutely no taste. I ate about a third of the sandwich but couldn't finish it, and my friend who had a taste agreed it was terrible. I'm surprised that this is even on the menu. I am sure the other items on the menu taste fine though, so I will give this place another try, but I won't order the mushroom mush again. read more

GREAT place to study--and I don't usually study at cafe's/coffee shops. The acoustics are great--you CAN'T hear every word from a conversation that is happening nearby. I repeat, CAN'T. That is my pet peeve with studying at cafes but Tout Suite has avoided that! The music is loud--but tasteful so I usually don't bring my headphones and I'm able to focus even with it playing. The tables are also nice and big so lots of room to study and there's a lower floor--where you won't see as much traffic going in/out and when people order so less distractions. A (+)--they have nice big windows that lets a lot of sunlight in--awesomeness ensues. The food--I've had their desserts, sandwiches and drinks. They are a little pricey but for some items on their menu--it's worth it. The individual desserts in the display cases run around $5-7 each. There are no prices listed, so that came out as a surprise for me. It was good, but I probably wouldn't eat it out on a whim. I've heard their cupcake is amazzzingg and reasonably priced. They're the same owners as SWEET (in citycentre, near memorial), so if you like SWEET, you'll probably like Tout Suite's cupcakes. I really like their club sandwich--you can test the freshness of their ingredients. The lettuce they choose are usually romaine hearts so it's extra crispy. As for sides--stay away from the soups. This will be the 3rd time I've tried their soups--the first 2 were suppperr salty--we had to get it exchanged. (I think it may be b/c towards the end of the night and the soups were sitting on the stove too long and maybe got reduced too much). The 3rd time, I got the butternut squash soup--good at first--but there's a huge kick of spiciness at the end, so much that I couldn't finish the soup. Any of their other sides--superb. It's a shame their soups can't be better. Drink wise--I don't know much about coffee although I will drink it when I need to, so can't comment on that--their milk tea is really good! Prob one of my favorites in houston. The combo of good food, good study areas and clean restrooms has def made me a frequent visitor of Tout Suite. read more

I've been here a few times and the food is generally very good. Today I came for Sunday brunch with some friends and it took an unusually long time for our food to come out because they were very busy. A few friends and I met up here for some drinks and snacks. Walking in the interior was beautiful, I loved the aesthetic but couldn't help joking about how hipster this place seemed (many flannel shirts, beards, beanies and glasses with an industrial chic decor of plain wood and chalkboard paint everything). The drinks in the fridge in the glass bottles were intriguing so I tried out one with chia seeds which turned out to be disappointingly bland. I also ordered a fancy grilled cheese which came with a soup of the day (onion) that was also disappointing because the bread to cheese ratio was way out of whack (very thick slices of bread paired with a thin layer of cheese). Overall it was a nice place to hang out, there were lots of seating options and you could hold your conversation at a decent level of volume without interference from other groups nearby, just make sure you eat beforehand. read more
