What a joke !! I had a problem with a tire to dropped by my regular garage . Mechanic said it's split I can't plug it maybe Town Tire can put an internal patch . Hubby says let's just 2 tires it was almost time anyway. It's 3:00 in the afternoon pull into Town Tire , hubby tells man what's up he comes out says "'funny I can't find a split ( car is in the lot not on the lift ) we still want 2 tires , he tells us what he has in stock we choose something in the middle . Hubby says " I want the 2 new ones in the front put the front ones on the back " he makes some comment about how old people think the best tires belong in the front . Finally he says car will be ready about 5:30 okay we jump in hubbys car and head home 5:45 still no call we call that day car is ready . It's 5 minutes from house get there and the car is EXACTLY where we left it . Go inside " oh sorry wrong Volkswagen " hubby says go home I'll wait . Well at 7:45 my husband finally arrived home 4and 3/4 hours to put on 2 tires and alignment. My grandma could have done it faster . Stay the hell away from Town Tire at least the one in Johnston. Got a flat tire last night, put the spare on. Left work today and went to the Town Fair Tire on Atwood Ave in Johnston. There was one car that the owner was going to wait for in front of me. It has been 2 hours and I a still waiting. The estimated time for my car to be ready was 1 hour 35 minutes. Next time I guess I should drop it off and come back to pick it up. I don't recommend waiting, I have been waiting over 2 hours just to get a flat tire repaired. Hopefully I will get home soon..... read more

Since I hit/attack curbs so frequently, I am almost on a first name basis with most of the staff. Each time I've been to Town Fair Johnston, the staff has been exceptional. Having a tire issue can be pretty stressful, time-consuming, expensive, etc.(especially when your job involves significant driving and it's right smack in the middle of a work day), but Town Fair Johnston always seems to make it a good experience and do what needs to be done in a timely fashion. Also,I am certainly not "car savvy", and this is one of the only car places that I go to that doesn't try to upsell me on frivolous crap! I love that! This is the only town fair tire that I trust with my car. I recently bought my winter tires here and have bought ones for my old car here as well. I was greeted promptly upon entrance and the guys behind the counter seemed happy to help. The manager, Brian was very knowledgeable about the right tire for my car. They had me in and out very quickly and I was very pleased with the experience. Places like these seem to always be very busy, and it was nice to not feel like I was bothering them. I will never go back to town fair. I had a flat tire with an appointment for noon on a Friday for a new tire. I had an electrical emergency in my home and wasn't able to make it at noon so was waiting for my electrician to be done but made sure to call 2 times if it was okay to come later and assured it was okay both times. When I arrived I was greeted by a man who I am assuming is a sales associate. I don't think I've ever dealt with someone ruder then. I explained my situation and that I called twice and was told to come in and that I may even have to wait 1-1.5 hours which I am fine with. He tried to make me feel bad because I had not been able to make it at noon and stated he had to put me at the end of the line and it would be 2.5 hours. I explained to him I wished they had told me this over the phone as I would have made another appointment at a later date. His demeanor was extremely unacceptable , especially for being a sales associate. At that point I just wanted to leave but his friend came over to look at the computer and told him, "just fit her in wherever because I don't feel like being yelled at for not helping her". Are you serious? This is how you treat customers? In shock. I obviously took my business elsewhere and is safe to say I will never go back to town fair again and warned friends and family to stay away. Do not bring foreign cars to town fair tire! I went in for four tires and a alignment and came out with a spewing power steering leak and a cracked wheel. I had to tow my car to a mechanic after I drove in it to the shop with no leaks at all. read more

I bought my tires at another location but they have a policy that for any reason something's wrong, they'll fix it a.s.a.p. I had a small leak which made me get air maybe once or twice a week so I took it to this location. The place was dead. A Thursday afternoon only one other person in the place. They got my car in fast and told me I had a very small hole. I asked them to patch it but they insisted on selling me a new tire. My tires weren't that old. They said they weren't even going to try and patch my tire. They reinstalled it and sent me on my way. After all it only lost a little air each week. I left and drove home. The next morning my tire was completely flat. I don't know what they did but I went from losing a little air each week to a flat tire in less than 24 hours. I've been to this location in the past with never any success. The last time I was there the staff was explaining to a customer how they got in an accident with there car. Even I had to threaten to sue them once because of the condition my car was returned to me, not at this location. I've had much better service with Melvins Tire Pros. located in Seekonk or Warwick They were far cheaper and the work was done properly. I think Town Fair has lost my business...again. read more

This review is for their new location at 1674 Hartford Ave in Johnston (they moved from Atwood Ave location). I've purchased tires from Town Fair Tire on more than 1 occasion and never had any issues with them. I'm writing this review on Monday 8/14 for my visit on 8/14. I hit a curb and blew out my front driver side tire on Friday 8/11. I called TFT to see what my options were under the Lifetime warranty (for purchasing 4 tires through TFT). I spoke to Sergio and he told me my options. Since I didn't pay for the Roadside Hazard warranty, my warranty only covers patches/repairs to tires if the tire is salvageable. Alternative option if tire isn't salvageable is to bring in a spare to use as a temp replacement. Luckily I had saved 2 tires for the same car. I brought in my car to have it checked out on 8/14 at 7:50am. I didn't realize there would be a charge for balancing. I didn't have any money on me and Sergio, the same guy who I spoke with on the phone that Friday, scrubbed the payment for me without any question. He really turned what could have been a bad day into a great day. I even made it to work on time. I was in an out in about 45 minutes. The service was great. No complaints. Definitely a good group of guys here. I rated them a 4 out of 5 for cleanliness. The waiting areas a bit messy. read more

Went in today to get new tires for my car. Stood at the counter for a good 5 min while salesman where in phones. The manager seemed very rude in how he talked to his employees, in front of customers. Other then that they were fairly efficient at getting my car in and out after all was said and done. read more

I've dealt with Town Fair Tires in Johnston before and had great customer service from Sergio on multiple occasions. Left my car late yesterday to have new tire put on and went in this morning to pick it up (it was already paid for). Sergio was in the middle of helping a customer and Joseph was doing paperwork. Joseph told me that "someone" will help you shortly and he proceeded to do paperwork at the counter right in front of me for 15 minutes! After Joseph shuffled and stapled his papers for 15 minutes, he left, and Sergio caught my eye (while his customer was signing for purchase) and I told him I just needed my keys. Sergio apologized and got my keys for me immediately. If Joseph had taken a moment to ask what I needed, I could have been out of there in 60 seconds. Joseph, I know paperwork needs to be done, but without customers, you'd be out of a job. Please keep that in mind the next time you shuffle paper and ignore your customer. read more

Went in today for a new tire after being turned away from a small local business. I was greeted by a very nice young man that even though I didn't know anything about tires explained everything about the tire I needed. They were very busy, so I left my car with him and picked it up when I received a text that it was ready. I definitely know where I will get my tires from now on. read more

Went to this Town Fair Tire to get 4 new tires put on my truck today January 9, and I want to thank the alighnment tech Kyle for staying late and doing an alighnment on my Silverado so I wouldn't have to come back on Monday...He's an excellent employee and did a fantastic job on my truck. Don't waste your time coming here. Appointment for 8 a.m. with two people in front of me I figured - okay maybe an hour, hour and a half, fine. My car wasn't even taken to the back for 2 hours. Truly embarrassing how some companies run their business. Now if they were busy I could understand, which they were not, and if they were busy wouldn't there at least be ONE person to tell me what's going on (i.e. how long the wait will be). Instead they sit in the front talking amongst themselves not even blinking an eye or giving the slightest thought to help anybody. I highly discourage taking your time or money to a town fair tire unless you plan on dropping your car off for a day or two. read more

After making an appointment at townfair.com I arrived at the Johnston, RI location and was informed my tires were not there. I was annoyed, to say the least, and told manager Brian Vadenais I would only reschedule if I was given a 4 wheel alignment at no cost for the inconvenience of having to come twice. He not only granted my demand but reduced the total price by nearly $50. His understanding and corrective actions for the screw up will surely make me a repeat customer. read more

Update to my original review: I checked my credit card bill and they credited me back the services rendered. I believe this was after my very upset rampage to them over the phone over the much delayed communication. This was a pleasant surprise as I wasn't expecting this sort of reaction after a complaint. I suppose they were apologetic towards their actions and this was their way of showing it. I guess I'll have to give them another shot next time. Brian from here called and asked me what happened at my previous visit. He was very nice and allowed me to explain what happened and he offered to fix my sensor at no charge. They were very pleasant at my visit and got me in and out fast! I went from being very angry to happy about my experience with them. I will never go back again. I made reservation and when the day came they didn't even had my tires. They offer me other tires about same quality and price which I took. When they were done with my car, I drove out and on my way to work I notice that the car is turning left and I need to turn the wheel right to keep it straight. I go back 5 minutes after leaving the shop and they "re-did" the alignment but the problem was still there so I went back to complain and all they said is that my suspension must be bad, to take my car to a mechanic. I told them that my suspension where ok coming here and not only that but I never thought that the car needed alignment cause it was pretty much straight and they said that there is nothing they can do about it with an attitude. Shop look crappy, their service is even worse, a bunch of young inexperienced guy doing the job. I have a 2011 Chevy Malibu with 50,000 miles on it, now I have to take it to the mechanic to see what they broke and pay for it. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!! read more
