We were driving through Jefferson City so I decided to look up a diner to grab breakfast food. Quick and kind service, and the food came out quickly and pipping hot. With my usual breakfast order of eggs over medium with bacon and toast (and in this case hashbrowns) the food was excellent and well priced. The waitresses were business-oriented, but sweet, and the decorations and atmosphere were typical of a "diner." I will have to remember this place as a fun breakfast location. read more

This place is a Gem! A mom and pop kind if place. We were here on a Saturday morning, later in the morning and it was full the whole time. Super friendly wait staff! The odd hours and location can make this one difficult to make it a priority to visit. Space is very limited but the food. The food is made in front of you with more than enough to want you coming back for more. This is the best breakfast place in town. The waiting staff was courteous and the food arrived super fast. Sometimes they might forget your check so you might want to remind them. The food was just about the right temperature and it was delicious. I highly recommend it. Tip: The parking lot in the back is not good for bigger vehicles so park on the street is better. read more

I was a big fan of this place on our visit to Jefferson City. It's a quaint little diner that serves up some good quality food. I wanted hash browns and eggs. I know what you're thinking... that's basic and hard to screw up. Wrong! It's very easy to screw up hash browns and I'm almost certain that each of you have been served hash browns that were either too mushy or way too crispy. These hash browns were delicious! Just the right amount of crunch without being overcooked. Also, the price for our breakfast was insanely cheap... just $9.50 for the both of us. We ate here on the Sat morning before eclipse day. It was totally packed at 1030 am but the food was fabulous. The omlet was not a bit greasy and the hash browns were crispy. My husband had country ham and it was not salty at all. A true gem in hiding. read more

One of the best, small-town diners ever!! I absolutely loved the pancakes - so tender, sweet and perfectly griddled to have a nice crispy edge. Amazing! The narrow bar and row of tables inside were packed on Saturday morning, so I was glad we were able to snag one of the three outdoor tables. Prices are from a different era - 2 eggs for $1.50, 1 pancake for $1.99 and a short stack, egg and 3 strips of bacon for $5.19! In Jeff City on business, wanted to try a local breakfast spot. I wish it was closer to home. It can only exist in a town like this though. Classic diner, very nice servers, affordable menu and some of the best pancakes I've had. Golden and slightly crisp on top and fluffy on the inside. Highly recommended. So refreshing to eat this well, drop $10 and still have that include a 40% tip. Man I wish every town had a diner like this. Cool architecture across the street, too. read more

My husband and I really enjoyed our breakfast here on a Saturday morning. It was pretty busy, but we sat at the counter and had good service. It was cool to watch the person on the grill too. Something I appreciated here is that you can get egg whites only for an extra dollar. A lot of places don't offer egg whites, especially diners, so I was pleasantly surprised by that! The hashbrowns were great and not greasy. The toast was yummy too. It was an all around good old timey diner. I'd be willing to go back for lunch sometime when in the area. read more

Tastes like grandmas cooking! The four of us had breakfast for 24 bucks, can't beat that! blueberry or pecan pancakes yummy, so are the pies. Also, staff is very friendly, timely, and efficient (and great with kids). I work at the Truman Building so I was excited to hear that this restaurant delivered! However that excitement was short lived. The food is awesome (with the exception of the scrambled eggs) but after they underwent construction and got new management, I was less than thrilled to find out that they cut delivery. Sucks because our department had a really big order one day so they missed out on money. They should consider bringing it back. The 2 stars is definitely due to the fact that they no longer deliver.
