This WONDERFUL establishment, is well run, updated by two of the kindness women you might ever have the pleasure of meeting. The best value in Camden, Maine. Delicious homemade breakfast, most importantly....close to town center and to the harbor.

Cute keychains!

This was the perfect place to spend the night in Camden. You could tell it was a Motel from the mid century but the room had been renovated to today's standards with quaint little details. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the ceiling fan kept the room cool. It was also an easy walk to downtown. Over all very enjoyable and a perfect spot to spend the night.

Super cute and quaint bed and breakfast styled motel near downtown Camden. Located in a very convenient location, walkable distance to the harbor and downtown village. Owners were extremely friendly and welcoming, and the interior of the motel was tastefully designed and decorated with quaint little details. Home cooking breakfast was delicious (during our stay, it was home made caramelized pears, blueberry cornmeal cake, and maple syrup drizzled baked oatmeal with cranberries). Extremely comfortable stay, would highly highly recommend!

Katje was extremely helpful with accommodating my early check-in and the homemade continental breakfast was lovely.

Lauren and Greg are the new owners and are keeping up the same charming reputation as the past…read moreowners. When we arrived we were met by Lauren and her son Elliott. They welcomed us to the Inn, gave us a tour and some fresh baked cookies. When we came downstairs in the morning Lauren had set out coffee and fresh baked crumpets. For breakfast she served overnight oats with chia seeds and blueberry compote followed by a tomato artichoke frittata and salad. Everything was excellent! Since we are avid hikers Greg recommended the Mount Battie trail which is within walking distance from the hotel. As we were heading off for our hike, Lauren provided us with more fresh baked cookies still warm from the oven. Greg and Lauren made us feel right at home as did their son Elliott. Elliott has a true entrepreneurial spirit and is very knowledgeable about the Inn and the area despite his young age. It was a pleasure staying here.

Do you want homemade cookies or brownie at the end of the day packaged and prepared just for you? Do you want to walk a couple of blocks to the charming downtown and waterfront of Camden? How about staying in a charming, quaint, and clean room or suite? How about a drink during happy hour at their cozy bar? Do you want to sit on their porch and read a book by the firepit? If so, make the reservation now! The Blue Harbor House is charming, romantic, and well maintained. My wife and I stayed here four nights recently and used this location to not only spend time in Camden, but to visit other nearby towns like Rockland, Bath, Brunswick, Rockport, and Belfast. Don't forget to visit the Cellar Door Winery in neighboring Lincolnville. Everything worked in our Snug Harbor Suite to perfection. Housekeeping did a great job each morning cleaning and replacing whatever was needed. The innkeepers, Matt and Michelle are warm and some of the nicest people you will ever meet. From the moment we booked our reservation, they began making us part of their family. Just talking to them and some of the other guests about life was relaxing and therapeutic. The price here is very reasonable and worth every penny. There is plenty of parking in their private parking lot. As I said earlier, there is no need to look any further.

The hotel has some nice aspects to it. Our room was large and the tub was bigger than average. They…read morelit a fire outside at night and they provide everything needed to cook s'more's but the large fuel tank detracts from the experience. They also had a lot of candy out, which was nice. The room was cheaper than many hotels in the area and the location was great, within walking distance to stores and restaurants. They also have a designated parking area, which is convenient. Everyone working there was very nice. That being said, the hotel would benefit from an update with a little more attention to detail. For instance, the bathroom exhaust fan was dusty and there was some sloppy paint work around the towel bar, kick boards, and outlets. The hair dryer outlet was very loose and needs to be replaced. The walls are thin and we could hear the people talking in the room next to our room. The bed was very soft, lumpy, and uncomfortable. The bathroom door was swollen and difficult to close. The second floor has exposed pipes in the hallway. The popcorn ceiling in our room immediately contributes to a dated feeling. An extension cord ran from the basement under the door to the front of the building, with a series of extension cords running out front. A few upgrades would make a big difference, even if it means increasing the rate. We will look for other accommodations , should we return.

I gave it the 3 stars for convenience, size of room & price. It's right downtown & walking distance…read moreto all restaurants & the water. The room was very large & appeared to have new carpet. I believe the outside was newly painted as well. The little creek that runs under the inn is cute. The place is not pet friendly. Contains about 9 rooms. Paid $155 for the night on a Saturday in September during covid. The reason I removed 2 stars is because there was no check-in process & needs some updates for sure. When we arrived there was no one there but our key was left outside in an envelope. Now I understand not having a desk attendant all day because there is only 9 people checking in, max. However, I couldn't find an email anywhere that stated the check-in process. I assume crime is very low in the area so I guess my key being out is ok. As others mentioned, the rooms are decorated with items you would see in your grandma's house. Since it was covid, there is no breakfast or anything. I understand not serving due to covid but other B&B's found ways to improvise. I was disappointed that there was not even a Keurig or small coffee pot in the room. No bottled water left or anything to help. Just a note that said to not use the dishes in the kitchen & bags of ice in the freezer. Other B&B's along the Maine coast had coffee in room & served grab-n-go breakfast items for about the same price paid here. I'm sure the family that owns this is nice, local people so I feel bad for not giving 5 stars but I have to be honest. Was trying to support local rather than a chain hotel.
