Ordered food here several times. I've gotten their moderately spicy wings and liked them a lot! My friend got the like not at all spicy pesto ones ( I laughed) and they thought they were good too. I would say that they were not very exceptional though, I feel like they were like wings I could cook at home and dump sauce on if I just bought a whole thing of sauce. They are pretty expensive too. They sell them by the half dozen and I'm a 6 ft skinny dude so I put down more than six wings for a meal if that's the whole meal so it adds up. My first experience here was GREAT and if this review was based on that it would be a 5 star review. My wings were tossed (the way I prefer it though I appreciate the sauce on the side being an option as well) perfectly. The second time, they were dry in two ways: overcooked and underdressed. The spicy level here is also pretty disappointing. If I get the spiciest flavor I expect to be sweating at the end of my meal!! Despite that, I really do enjoy all the various sauce flavors they have! My personal favorite is the pineapple jerk. First-timers here. I placed a to-go order online for the UO Campus Toxic Wings X-Press. That was a pleasantly easy process. When I got home, we were missing 1 of 5 sauces; ok, that can happen. All of the sauces were tasty; the Toxic Sauce wasn't as hot as I imagined. Both the regular and sweet potato fries were good. The chicken wings were very tasty. I requested the drummettes which they offer for no extra charge; they were quite meaty and delicious. My husband thought his wing parts were not very meaty and were a bit dry. We didn't know that a "wing" means either the drummette part or the wing part - not both. Good to know. That's probably a standard thing in chicken joints; so we claim ignorance of such things. The spicy chicken sandwich was considered the best part of our order. The not-so-good news: The two sides of coleslaw ($3 each) had about 3 tablespoons of coleslaw - about 20 cents worth of cabbage sold at $1 per mouthful. That's wrong. That amount should have been complimentary - like parsley or shaved carrots and cabbage on the side of so many meals. Same-same. So, I returned to the shop after dinner to express our satisfaction about the chicken, sauces, and fries, and strong displeasure about the coleslaw portions. The food was absolutely exquisite. Went to the spot in Creswell and the staff is super friendly. The food was fresh as well. The only downside I would say was when I visited the location in Eugene afterwards during the evening they were far less friendly and were giving me pretty awkward looks before and after they were aware I was picking up an order. The service is always fine but the food remains subpar after multiple tries. This is a fast food replacement. I don't get the yucky feeling after I eat it, I get the WTF did I just spend a ton of money on?!? The decor is amazing here. I'm loving the red walls but especially the wood tables-- beautiful. We visited once right after they opened, and although we loved the decor then, too, we weren't really impressed with the food. I've been wanting to give them another shot, so today we stopped in on our way to Portland. Glad we did!! Jade took our order, and she was the highlight of the visit. Really personable, funny, and helpful. She cracked some jokes and put up with my annoying questions about cheese. Landon was awesome too, busy running around the place and educating us on organic ketchup (which was delicious, by the way!). As for the food, i really did enjoy it better this time around. The keto burger was great. The bun was so tasty--i like it better than regular bread! The wings were smoky and the raspberry habanero sauce is delish. A minor disappointment is the bacon cheese fries. Mine were bland , with just a tiny bit of bacon and a few sprinkles of cheese. But for 3.50 I guess that's fair. Great space, clean and inviting. I have tried nearly all of their sauces, and depending on mood, all can hit the spot. The burgers are just as tasty, with several options. I like that i can go easy with a single patty (I think they are 1/6 lb), or go big with four patties on the Intoxicator. They will also throw four patties in any burger they make, Quad Spicy Cali baby. This place is a great well kept secret. I'm not sure why they don't advertise this-but all their meat is high quality (and I'm super picky!). The girl who usually runs the counter told me it's grass fed beef, pasture raised eggs, etc. I was very skeptical because the prices are ridiculously low. But I went for a breakfast burrito and my body would tell me if this was crappy meat, and I felt better eating this meat than I have from a Whole Foods hot bar!! The reason for 4 stars is the black mamba and reaper sauce tastes exactly the same and not extemely hot as they suggest. The garlic parmesan sauce is mediocre at best. The jerk sauce is pretty good.
