When I got the original quote the rep told me that the bumper could be repaired and repainted, which was great. What he failed to mention was they wouldn't repair the rock chips, and that once painted (the car is black) that those rock chips would be very noticeable. Had he mentioned that I would have a. talked to my insurance company to see if they would cover any additional labor or b. paid out of pocket. That would have been the first line of communication. The second opportunity to communicate would be prior to the bumper being painted. It would have been nice to get a heads up that they were painting right over the rock chips and it would be glaringly noticeable. They did not communicate that. Now that the work is completed that bumper looks like it has dimples all over it. When I took it back for them to look at it they basically told me that they weren't being paid by the insurance company to fix the rock chips therefore they didn't do it. They said I needed to go back and talk with my insurance company and have them pay all over again to completely repaint the bumper. Not a good solution. This all could have been taken care of early on had they given me a heads up on what to expect, and options on repairing the front bumper properly. Now it's too late and the bumper looks bad. Also very poor customer service in not resolving the issue.

The starter they installed sounded bad. I asked them to put back the original starter and refund the charge. They refused. I explained that I intend to write a review describing my experience and threatened me saying "God will come for you and karma will get you back." Excuse me?? The car then broke down two days later. I called them to explain that the starter they installed was indeed bad. They not only did not fix the issue I asked them to, but have **now created a second larger one.** I asked them to refund the charge and reinstall the original starter so that I could at least undo the bad work they did and take the car elsewhere. They refused. He told me that I was "ungrateful for the hard work he did" and then hung up the phone. Quite confused. The hard work he did that only left car broken down on the side of the road in disrepair?? Disrepair in a way it never was before I took it to their shop. **Let me remind you the car had never broken down until they touched it. I simply went for a lock issue.** The car is now at a second shop. That shop requested the original starter and part number of the starter they installed so they can complete their assessment. All Automotive Repair refuses to provide any information regarding the work that they did. Today on the phone he said "I am not speaking to you.' And hung up the phone. DO NOT GO HERE. DO NOT TRUST THESE GUYS WITH ANYTHING. My card is currently trying to get the charge back and I'm pulling together a claim for small claims court. But I would have so much rather not be a part of this mess. I wish I never trusted my car with this company.

They said they'd need to do a hard credit pull for that too--which seemed ridiculous and suspicious. I didn't buy a guy talking to me about the car for five minutes - although I did talk to them and they were great. I bought an eleven page report with tons of pictures that's formatted almost exactly like a home inspection report. If you're going to spend more than 10k on a car and you want to make sure you're making the right decision, this type of service is well worth it. Scott's is one of the shops that's excelling at it, clearly, and in my opinion they'd be the best choice in the area if a buyer needed a pre-purchase inspection.

I took my 1984 GMC truck in ( which I've been restoring ) in for repairs and work. The first time I took it in they chipped my brand new paintjob. When I brought it to their attention they seemed offended with one of their workers saying as he walked away " Jesus, its just a old truck ". Here is my other list of complaints. No. - They installed brand new headlights and the don't even shine on the road. No. 2- They installed brand new backup lights in my rear bumper and left the bare wires just hanging with no tape or wire nuts. Didn't bother to hook them up. No. 3- They installed brand new trim around my brand new grill and instead of trimming to fit just overlapped the pieces. Looks very cheap. No. 4- They installed brand new cab lights and now I have a leak inside my cab. No. 5- The same cab lights, they installed a switch inside the cab instead of wiring it to the headlight switch like its supposed to. The hot wire going to the switch instead of being connected is just jammed in and any time you touch it it sparks. No. 6- They made new keys for the door locks and you had to work at least a minute to get them to work. I took it back and they said they fixed it and it would loosen up. Now, it still takes considerable time to open the drivers side and the passenger door won't unlock at all. Also, the electric switch ( they installed ) won't open the passenger side. No. 7- They called me and said that my brand new dash cover in the box was bent and wouldn't fit. I bought a brand new one and when I asked for the old one so I could return it for a refund was told they threw it away. No. 7- I was missing to storage lockers of parts. When I asked where they were the manager told his technician said he put them in the back of my truck and I must have lost them. We argued and he told me I was welcome to walk through the shop and look. I found them within 5 minutes stacked on top of each other sitting against a pole. No. 8- Same thing, I had bought two ( brand new ) steps for the truck as it is lifted, They said they couldn't install them. When I went to pick them up they said I already picked them up and I must have " thrown them in the back of my truck and they bounced out in the mile from their shop and my home. No. 9- They installed two ( brand new ) gas gauge sensors. When they didn't work I took it back and they said they fixed them. They didnn't. While driving six blocks from my home to the store my engine died. My gas gauge showed more than a quarter of a tank. I had to ( in rush hour traffic push the truck 50 yards into a parking lot. Other motorists helped me. I didn't think to check the gas tank because they said THEY FIXED THE PROBLEM. I had to pay $80.00 for a tow five blocks to my home. ​ I tried to discuss all this with the manager and he became argumentative and dismissive. When I asked to speak to the owner ( Mike Christoferson) he refused to let me. Since then, I have sent a Registered Letter to Mr. Christoferson at Pro Tek office and haven't heard a word back. Also, sent a message to his Facebook page and still haven't heard anything. Their website is very proud of the fack that they repair high end luxury cars and certified antique cars. I guess my old pickup truck wasn't worth their time. I tried to refrain from writing a bad review so we could handle it like grownups and people of honor but find their ignoring me very offensive. From May 5th 2026 through May 6th, I spent hours negotiating with salesman Danie on a certified pre-owned 2023 Acura MDX. We reached an agreed-upon out-the-door price, and I was told Sales Manager Alec Torres would call me on May 7th to complete financing over the phone. What followed was days of complete radio silence. Multiple calls and texts to Alec Torres went unanswered. When I called the dealership, staff said they couldn't discuss financing until Manager Brad Caba was available because I wasn't buying in person. On May 8th, after repeated calls and being told Brad was "in meetings," I was finally informed -- via text -- that the car I had agreed to buy had already been sold. No one had bothered to tell me earlier, even though I was actively trying to move forward. While I understand cars can sell, being strung along for multiple days with zero communication was unacceptable. Alec later apologized and admitted it was his fault, but then repeatedly tried to push me into a lease, a higher-mileage MDX at a higher price, and even offered to find me something at auction. I repeatedly asked to speak with a manager instead. It is now May 12th and I have reached out via text, voicemail, email, FB messenger and still no response back from any of the platforms. This level of poor communication, lack of transparency, and bait-and-switch behavior is unacceptable. I negotiated in good faith only to be ignored and misled. As a result, I will not be buying from this dealership and strongly advise others to stay clear of Dick Hannah Acura of Portland.
