We are now dealing with a nearly $4,900 repair for piston rings and spark plugs at approximately 155,600 miles. What is especially frustrating is Honda's response. When we contacted Honda Corporate asking for assistance, we were told that the repair was our responsibility and that the original owner would have been notified about the issue. We were also essentially told that it was our responsibility as consumers to do our own research. The problem is that we were not the original owners, and this issue was never disclosed to us when we purchased the vehicle. We had no knowledge that Honda had previously notified someone else about the issue, and we had no opportunity to act on information that was never provided to us. If Honda knew about a recurring issue affecting these engines and notified the original owner, what happens when that vehicle is subsequently sold? The next owner may have absolutely no idea that there was an issue or that a previous owner received a notification. We aren't asking Honda to pretend the vehicle has no mileage or that maintenance doesn't matter. We are asking Honda to recognize the circumstances and provide some goodwill assistance toward an expensive engine repair that we had no reason to anticipate when we purchased the vehicle. Our family has owned multiple Hondas, and we chose this Odyssey because we genuinely believed in Honda's reputation for quality and longevity. It's incredibly disappointing to spend years trusting a brand, only to be told that a major repair is simply our responsibility because we should have somehow known about an issue that was never disclosed to us. At the very least, Honda should be willing to explain exactly what notification was sent to the previous owner, when it was sent, and why a subsequent owner was left completely unaware. We had hoped Honda would stand behind its customers and help us find a reasonable solution. Unfortunately, so far, we have been left feeling like once the vehicle was sold to a second owner, the problem became entirely ours--even though we never had the opportunity to know about it in the first place. The starter they installed sounded bad. I asked them to put back the original starter and refund the charge. They refused. I explained that I intend to write a review describing my experience and threatened me saying "God will come for you and karma will get you back." Excuse me?? The car then broke down two days later. I called them to explain that the starter they installed was indeed bad. They not only did not fix the issue I asked them to, but have **now created a second larger one.** I asked them to refund the charge and reinstall the original starter so that I could at least undo the bad work they did and take the car elsewhere. They refused. He told me that I was "ungrateful for the hard work he did" and then hung up the phone. Quite confused. The hard work he did that only left car broken down on the side of the road in disrepair?? Disrepair in a way it never was before I took it to their shop. **Let me remind you the car had never broken down until they touched it. I simply went for a lock issue.** The car is now at a second shop. That shop requested the original starter and part number of the starter they installed so they can complete their assessment. All Automotive Repair refuses to provide any information regarding the work that they did. Today on the phone he said "I am not speaking to you.' And hung up the phone. DO NOT GO HERE. DO NOT TRUST THESE GUYS WITH ANYTHING. My card is currently trying to get the charge back and I'm pulling together a claim for small claims court. But I would have so much rather not be a part of this mess. I wish I never trusted my car with this company.

A professional repair facility should be willing to follow manufacturer repair procedures and seek clarification when needed. I took my 1984 GMC truck in ( which I've been restoring ) in for repairs and work. The first time I took it in they chipped my brand new paintjob. When I brought it to their attention they seemed offended with one of their workers saying as he walked away " Jesus, its just a old truck ". Here is my other list of complaints. No. - They installed brand new headlights and the don't even shine on the road. No. 2- They installed brand new backup lights in my rear bumper and left the bare wires just hanging with no tape or wire nuts. Didn't bother to hook them up. No. 3- They installed brand new trim around my brand new grill and instead of trimming to fit just overlapped the pieces. Looks very cheap. No. 4- They installed brand new cab lights and now I have a leak inside my cab. No. 5- The same cab lights, they installed a switch inside the cab instead of wiring it to the headlight switch like its supposed to. The hot wire going to the switch instead of being connected is just jammed in and any time you touch it it sparks. No. 6- They made new keys for the door locks and you had to work at least a minute to get them to work. I took it back and they said they fixed it and it would loosen up. Now, it still takes considerable time to open the drivers side and the passenger door won't unlock at all. Also, the electric switch ( they installed ) won't open the passenger side. No. 7- They called me and said that my brand new dash cover in the box was bent and wouldn't fit. I bought a brand new one and when I asked for the old one so I could return it for a refund was told they threw it away. No. 7- I was missing to storage lockers of parts. When I asked where they were the manager told his technician said he put them in the back of my truck and I must have lost them. We argued and he told me I was welcome to walk through the shop and look. I found them within 5 minutes stacked on top of each other sitting against a pole. No. 8- Same thing, I had bought two ( brand new ) steps for the truck as it is lifted, They said they couldn't install them. When I went to pick them up they said I already picked them up and I must have " thrown them in the back of my truck and they bounced out in the mile from their shop and my home. No. 9- They installed two ( brand new ) gas gauge sensors. When they didn't work I took it back and they said they fixed them. They didnn't. While driving six blocks from my home to the store my engine died. My gas gauge showed more than a quarter of a tank. I had to ( in rush hour traffic push the truck 50 yards into a parking lot. Other motorists helped me. I didn't think to check the gas tank because they said THEY FIXED THE PROBLEM. I had to pay $80.00 for a tow five blocks to my home. ​ I tried to discuss all this with the manager and he became argumentative and dismissive. When I asked to speak to the owner ( Mike Christoferson) he refused to let me. Since then, I have sent a Registered Letter to Mr. Christoferson at Pro Tek office and haven't heard a word back. Also, sent a message to his Facebook page and still haven't heard anything. Their website is very proud of the fack that they repair high end luxury cars and certified antique cars. I guess my old pickup truck wasn't worth their time. I tried to refrain from writing a bad review so we could handle it like grownups and people of honor but find their ignoring me very offensive. Time to talk to a lawyer I guess.
